Fort Worth, Texas-This time around we took a spin in one of the country’s purest imports in the Mazda3 S Grand touring 5-door small sedan. Yes the new 2015 Mazda3 S five-door has 85 per cent of its part from Japan and 0 parts from the U.S. and Canada. The final assembly point is Hofu, Japan with both the engine and transmission built in Japan as well. The new Mazda3 S is powered by a proved Skyactiv-G 2.5 liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine with a Skyactiv-MT with 6-speed manual shifter brining back the fun of shifting gears. Horsepower for the new Mazda is 184 and
185 pounds per foot of torque on this baby. Those number adds up to 35 miles on the highway and 26 in the city making it very affordable to operate. When it comes to safety the new Mazda3 gets a 5-star overall rating from the NHTSA with 5-star for driver in frontal crashes while front passenger gets a 4star rating. Taking a lot at the side crash numbers we find the new Mazda3 gets 5-star rating for front and rear riders. The rollover rating is 4-star as well. Blind spot monitoring system along with rear cross traffic alert and tire monitoring system adds to the safety features of the new

Leather trimmed sport seats and 6-way power driver seat with manual lumbar adjustment and variable heated front seats. A dual zone climate control makes the cabin very pleasant and power windows and door locks adds to the luxury features of this very affordable automobile. Fact is our test vehicle came in at just over $28,000 equipped pretty doggone good. The power rolls to the road on 18inch alloy wheels wrapped by P215/45R 18-inch All Season Tires. This unit also came with rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated power side mirrors to name a few of its added features on their standard equipment list. Mazda3 S five-door Grand Touring models also have active driving display seven-inch color touch-screen display with multifunction commander control and rearview backup camera. Mazda navigation system with Bose 9speaker center point audio with
AM/FM/CD, HD radio with two USB inputs along with Sirius XM satellite radio along with SMS text message delivery and replay, Bluetooth Hands-free phone/audio to go along with it. In closing please allow me to
add the new Mazda3 also has Dynamic stability control, traction control system with Hill launch assist and a full array of air bags to round out the safety strong points of this vehicle!

A KING-SIZE MOVER AND SHAKER: DAWN BROWN By Dr. Victor Keys A King-Size View Our King-Size Mover and Shaker for the month of December is Dawn Brown. Coach Brown was officially named Prairie View A&M head women’s basketball coach in April of 2014. Brown, who served on an interim basis during the 2013-14 season, becomes Prairie View A&M’s fifth head coach since the program moved to the NCAA Division I ranks in 1982. Named the team’s interim head coach on July 1, 2013, Brown led the Lady Panthers to their fourth consecutive NCAA Women’s Basketball Division I Tournament appearance and the team’s fourth straight SWAC Tournament Championship this past season. Brown’s success on the hardwood also caught the eye of several national publications as she was named the 2013-14 HBCU Digest Female Coach of the Year. In addition to the team’s individual accolades, the Lady Panthers
had a pair of five-game winning streaks under Brown over the course of the 2013-14 campaign and won 10-of-11 contests during a two-month span. Since joining the PVAMU women’s basketball program as an assistant coach in 2010, the Lady Panthers are a perfect 12-0 in postseason play with Brown on the bench. Prior to becoming interim head coach, Brown served as the team’s assistant coach for three seasons along with adding the responsibilities of recruiting coordinator during the 2012-13 campaign. Before coaching at Prairie View A&M, Brown spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Tougaloo College. At Tougaloo, Brown played a major part in turning the program around as the Lady Bulldogs finished the 2009-10 season with their best record in 12 years and advanced to the semifinal round of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. A 2005 graduate of Jackson State University, she had a two-
year career as a student-athlete with the Lady Tigers and helped capture the 2002-03 SWAC Regular Season CoChampionship and a SWAC Tournament semi-final berth. Before her playing days at Jackson State, Brown a two-time captain at Atlanta Metropolitan College, led the team to twostraight GJCAA Tournament
appearances as she was a part of the inaugural team in 2000. Dawn knows the demands of a Division I student-athlete, as she also excelled in the classroom earning her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2005. She also
holds memberships in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Order of Eastern Star, Black Colleges & Administrators and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

We might add we didn’t know what we were missing. With 201 horsepower under the hood of this vehicle powered by a 2.4 liter DOHC 16-valve IVTEC 4-cylinder engine. It’s mated to a 6-speed manual transmission helping to keep the driver alert and adding to the fun of shifting bringing back memories. The new ILX came with 4wheel disc brakes and Macpherson Strut front suspension and rear Multi-link suspension again adding to the fun of driving this unit. Economically speaking the new ILX gets 22 in the city and 31 on the highway for a combine 25 miles per gal-

Clearly a new development by American Honda Motors and a great addition to safety of travelers world wide. Acura made sure you enjoy your favorite sounds with a 7-speaker AM/FM/CD Premium sound
system complete with Satellite radio. A moon roof with tilt features and heated power door mirror couple with keyless entry system all standard. The best thing about it is 60 per cent of the vehicle parts including the engine are from the U S

HYUNDAI SONATA SPORT 2.0T CATCHES THE EYE By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Aldine, Texas-my mind goes back to 1987 when we first test drove the new Hyundai Sonata and big Tony Norris came out to our shoot and lifted the front end up off the ground. Tony went on to become one of the Nation’s top wrestlers and his massive body grew to more than 350 pounds. At that time Tony was still trying to get in the NFL after a great career on the college and semi-pro level. Back to the Sonata both then and now one of the world’s finest buys or most would say a lot of bang for your buck. Fact is our Urban Sunset vehicle came in at a little more than 29 Grand and it was very well equipped. The sport model
turned a few heads and opened a few eyes also. Under the hood of the 2015 Sport 2.0T is a 2.0 liter Turbo gasoline engine with direct injection 4-cylinder producing 245 horsepower and 260 pounds per foot of torque. Dual continuous valve timing and a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters gets you rolling smoothly. COBRAS HOLD 39TH ANNUAL BANQUET By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View The Studewood Cobras held their 39th Annual Banquet at the Aldine Campbell Center and more than 700 turned out for the presentations of Awards. The Cobras had two teams in their freshmen and Varsity squads play for the Super Bowl title in the Independent Youth Sport Association football league. The freshmen fell to the South East Lions 13-12 in four overtimes while the Varsity also lost to the Lions 13-7. The Flag and J V
squads were beaten in the conference finals of the league. When the new season begins in 2015 the Cobras will embark on their 40th season. This clearly makes them one of the longest lasting programs in the Country. This year marked the first year of the Walter Penrice Award named for the Cobras Freshmen coach and President of the Cobras Walter has spent more than 38 years with organization. He and his wife LeAndrea Penrice have worked hard with all their helpers as well as officers to make the Cobra what
they are today! Guests included lead speaker Reggie Dixon a Yates and Niagara University graduate who played with the Harlem Globetrotter. Dixon a high jumping point guard challenged the kids to grow up and make something special of themselves and reminded them how hard
work pays off. Among the honored guest was former Cobra John Gibbs Jr. a junior QB at Alcorn State University. Gibbs won the conference MVP this year and also got the MVP as Alcorn whipped Southern to take home the Toyota SWAC Championship at NRG Stadium. Gibbs was impressed with the turnout and enjoyed answering
questions and listening to Cobras stories on the night. Year in and Year out we are happy to be working with the Cobras in an effort to find another sponsor since Fiesta backed out after 10 years of working with the Cobras.

SOUTHEAST LIONS TAKES ALL SUPER BOWLS TITLE IN IYSA LEAGUE IN 2014 By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View The Southeast Lions football program walked away from Butler Stadium with all four of the Independent Youth Sports Association League championships. The won the flag title and then beat the Cobras freshmen in four over times 13-12. Later in the day their JV beat the
Fifth Ward Cowboys and their varsity edged the Cobras 13-7 in the night game. It’s been years since one organization won all four titles and we think the Cobras were the last to do so. It makes for good competition as the Lions are setting the bar higher for all teams and look forward to being good for years to come.

COACH OF THE WEEK: JAY HOPSON-ALCORN - JOEY MCGUIRE-CEDAR HILL By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View JAY HOPSO -ALCOR Third year head coach Jay Hopson is continuing to make a good coaching name for himself. He led the Alcorn State University Braves into NRG Stadium and beat the Southern Jaguars 38-24 to win the Toyota 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship before a crowd of 38,969 Fans. Hopson a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi and played strong safety at Ole Miss from 1988-91 and made four year Academic All-SEC honors roll selections and was named to the Co-SIDA District VI Academic AllAmerican team as a senior. Graduating from Ole Miss with a B.A. in business administration in 1992, Jay went on to receive a

Master’s of Health in Physical Education and Recreation from Delta State in 1994. Serving as a graduate assistants at Florida, LSU and Tulane Jay went on to with at the University of Memphis and also spent time at Michigan as their linebacker coach. On each of his stops Jay worked hard and had a great deal of success as he made his way back to the his homeland and took over the Braves program. “I’m very happy to be a Braves and to be here in the SWAC because this is the greatest conference for rivalries, just look at the match-ups all over the conference”. As he met the media at NRG Stadium Hopson went on to say “Today is a special day for me because our student-athletes have worked very hard for this day. Hopson took over the struggling program and turned it around in his second year with a 9-3 mark. “It was rough coming in during the month of June, man it was probably August before we were able to get a play or two together”. He went on to say thanks to a hard working staff and an outstanding freshman quarterback (John Gibbs Jr.) they begin to some success in late 2012 and they really begin to see things coming into place in 2013. “I’ d say we felt going in if our guys steadied the course we would have a good shot to get here”. Hopson is assisted by Leroy Fredericks (wide receivers), Fred (Air)
McNair (Quarterbacks), Tony Pecoraro (Defensive coordinator), Lane Powell (Tight Ends), Yancy Satterwhite (Assistance coordinator defensive backs), Willie Simmons (0ffensive coordinator), Ryan Stanchek (offensive line), Ralph Street (defensive line), Cedric Thomas (defensive backs) and Wes Turner coaches the linebackers. In closing coach Hopson joked we are moving all our home games to Houston, Texas. “The City was great for us and we take our hats off to Southern University and coach (Dawson) Odums they played a hard fought game”. JOEY MCGUIRE CEDAR HILL Arlington, Texas-For the third straight season Joey McGuire has led his team to the state championship game and two of those times they have came away with the crown. The celebrated coach asked the media to someday soon start thinking of them in the way they do Katy and Allen. Our kids have worked very hard and they deserve to get those awards like All-State by the AP”. McGuire added information on star receiver Demarkus Lodge who had two touchdown catches and walked away with the Offensive MVP of the game again. Even Katy’s coach Gary Joseph admitted they had to prepare for him in each of the last three title
game. “Yes we know it would taken at least 28 or 30 points to beat them and with Lodge we tried to double him at times and he still got behind us, a great kid said Joseph. McGuire thank the student body and all the families of the Cedar Hill area for their support and having some tough games simply made his team better. His starting QB Justin McMillan who completed his requirements for high school and will move on to LSU in January. “Justin has been wonderful for us over the years and our other quarterback Avery Davis played a great game as well”. McGuire went on to praise his defense for doing a pretty good job on Katy’s Oklahoma signed Rodney Anderson. “He’s a great back and our D-line did a pretty good job on keeping in bottled up and he still managed to get free a few times”. A graduate of UT-Arlington McGuire felt right at home playing the championship games in A T & T Stadium. “This is about a good as it gets but with our kids we are road ready and if we had to go to Louisiana or where ever we are ready to get on a bus and got, that’s what it’s all about”. Then on to praising Katy and coach Joseph. “hey we beat a great program tonight we had trouble moving the ball on them in the first and trialed by 11 just like last year”. McGuire went on to add they went with an empty set and spread them
out a little and they begin to move the ball giving their defense some rest to get ready to deal with Anderson. Back to the QB Avery Davis who had a big 50 plus yard run to set up the game winning field goal. “Yeh, we call that play QB Muscle Dash and Avery did a good line as well as the O-line on that play. Brooks had kicked well for us all season so we felt pretty good once we got in field goal range”. KATY TURNS BACK MANVEL AGAIN By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View The Katy Tigers made it clear to Manvel they just will have to wait a while longer. The Tigers won 45-17 to claim the region III class 6A division II title. Katy defense held Manvel well below their averages in yards passing, rushing and kept them from getting anywhere near their 52 points per game average. Katy used the hard running of Rodney Anderson who had three touchdowns in the game as well. Katy then went on to edge Cibolo Steele 27-20 in over time to set up a third showdown with Cedar Hill at A T & T in Arlington for the class 6A division II title.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL REPORT: ALLEN ROLLS AGAIN-CEDAR HILL EDGED KATY AGAIN By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Arlington, Texas-With a crowd of 52,308 on hand the Allen Eagles flew into records books as they won their 43rd straight football game. At the outstanding A T & T Stadium senior QB Kyler Murray found Cody Butler from 51 yards out on the game’s fourth play. Cody got behind the Cy-Ranch Mustangs defense and hauled in the pass for one of the five passes he caught totaling 99 yards on the day. We spoke with the senior receiver after the game. “”We watched a lot of tape on them and knew what routes we have to run to get open”. Butler went on to say he felt the Mustangs are still a pretty good team and Charlie Booker ran the ball well for them. “Kyler is such a great quarterback he is going to get you the ball if you get open so

our receivers worked hard to get open“. Over the past few years Allen Eagles have been mention in the same sentences as Legend, dynasty, and other words to describe a historic program. “Yes sir, I think so because the DWF is the thing and we have worked hard for this”. Butler added it doesn’t end here because the defense is made up of sophomores and juniors and it looks like they will be back again for many years to come. “We put in a lot of ground work in getting us ready for the title run and we feel anytime we are down we will come back and win!. Murray would go on to throw for 316 yards and 5 touchdowns and win the Offensive MVP again making it three in a row. The Texas A & M signee rushed for a team leading 63 yards as well in the win. Keon Williams added 61 yards on 9 carries while Trent Clark tossed in a 44 yard gallop. Kerry Hall led the receivers with 9 catches for 129 yards and three touchdowns as Allen rolled to a big 47-17 win. Charlie Booker had two scoring runs and picked up 123 yards on 24 carries for the Mustangs in defeat! On the other side of the ball the Eagles clawed their way to holding Cy-Ranch to 314 yards and 18 first downs with Jaylon Jones, Levi Onwuzurike and Jakob Yandell leading the way in tackles. Allen only punted once in the game and that was good
for 33 yards. CEDAR HILL EDGED KATY AGAI Arlington, Texas- With a crowd of 46,289 watching it was the Longhorns of Cedar Hill getting the upper hand on Katy in a thriller 23-20. The scoring started with Kyle Goss recorded a safety for the Horns. Katy’s Rodney Anderson twist and turned his way for a 53 yard scoring run and Kris Perez booted field goals of 37 and 24 yards as the Tigers led it 13-2. But the Horns went to work with their outstanding receiver Damarkus Lodge a 6 feet 3 inch senior got behind Katy’s defense and hauled in a Justin McMillan pass from 26 yard out. He came back three minutes later and beat Katy taking in an Avery Davis pass from 61 yards out giving the Horns a 17-13 lead with less than two minutes left in the third period. But Rodney Anderson broke a couple tackles and scored on a 3 yard gallop for Katy to take the lead at 20-17. Then Brooks Ralph became the hero as he booted a 44 yarder to tie the score at 20 and with only 2 ticks left on the clock he tacked on a 25 yard field goal and Cedar Hill had their second straight state title after going to state three years in a row. Justin McMillan who has signed to attend LSU said he thought the Horns kept their pose when they were trailing Katy in the early going. “We knew they would be doubling up on Lodge so it allow us to work in other areas to move the ball down field. Justin hit on 18 of 23 passes for 180 yards ad a touchdown for the Horns.
Avery Davis had 10 rushed for a team leading 126 yards. His 52 yard run set up the game’s winning field goal and he was 3 of 5 for another 68 yards in the game
downs, while Dickson hauled in 12 passes for 177 yards and 4 touchdowns during the game. Sammy Blair grabbed 9 balls for 170 yards as well.
Anderson led all rushers with 173 yards on 24 carries and he scored twice.
Gilmer came from way down to beat West Orange Stark 35-25 after Stark led 25-7 at the half. The win gives Gilmer the Class 4A Division II title and their fifth in the last six years making them one of the state finest programs.
ALEDO EDGED Temple for the class 5A Division I state tile 4945 in another thriller. Luke Bishop led the way with 196 yards and 2 touchdowns while teammate Jess Anders added 108 yards and two more scores. Bishop also hit on 9 of 14 passes for 122 yards and two more scores in the hotly contested game on Saturday at noon at A T & T Stadium. Navasota eased pass Argyle 4235 in double overtimeto take the Division I class 4A title Tren’Davian Dickson grabbed two scoring passes from Shelton Eppler of 3 and 13 yards in the win. Eppler hit on 30 of 54 passes for 493 yards and four touch-

Ennis tolled up 23 first downs while holding Cedar Park to 16. The class 2A Division I title went to Canadian 34 7 winners over Mason. The division II class 2A title went to Bremond 28-21 winners over Albany to round out the state.

ALCORN ROLLED PAST SOUTHERN IN TOYOTA SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 38-24 By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Led by former Studewood Cobras and BTW high School signal caller John Gibbs Jr. The Braves of Alcorn State University rolled past the Southern Jaguars to win the 2014 Toyota SWAC Championship. Their first since the late Steve McNair led the Braves to the title in 1994. With nearly 39 thousand fans in NRG Stadium Gibbs showed why he would walk away with the Co-Offensive Player of the year in the SWAC and the MVP of the title game. The junior QB hit on 20 of 30 passes for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns to take
the honor. In his spare time Gibbs rushed for 132 yards on 16 carries and took and licking and kept right on ticking. The scoring started as Gibbs found Jordan Payne from 13 yards out and Haden McCraney added a 21 yard field goals and Alcorn quickly led it 10-0 at the end of the first period. But Southern came to play as Greg Pittman booted 21 yard field goal, but Alcorn answered with a 12 yard run by Anthony Williams III. But Little Willie Quinn returned a punt 86 yards and close the gap to 17-10 late in the second period. Then Billy Shed ran under a perfectly thrown pass from John Gibbs Jr., and Alcorn took at 24-10 lead into the break.
The Southern Jags got a good tongue lashing from coach Dawson Odums and came out ready to turn up their defense against the Conference number one offense. With an 8 play 85 yard drive with Malcolm Crocker going in from 2 yards out and closed to 24-17. Then Southern tied the score when Dennis Craig blocked and recovered a punt and returned it 9 yards for a touchdown. On the Braves next possession they hit Gibbs on a third down play forcing the Braves to punt. “Yes sir it was a good hit but I’ve been hit harder than that when I played with the Studewood Cobras and our defense held them to 3-and-out, we got the ball back. Gibbs and the Braves went 7 plays 59 yards with

Well it happened in the first Class 6A Division I title game between Allen and Cy-Ranch at A T & T stadium. With Allen
already up 28-10 Charlie Booker scored on a 19 yard run for CyRanch only to see the Point after Touchdown be blocked by Dallas George and returned for two more points making the score 30-16. We spoke with the happy player after he was named the game’s defensive MVP. “Our coaches told me the way they kicked the ball I would have a chance to block it”. George went on to say when he hit it all he did was picked it up and took it to the house. “Yes sir at each of our practices we work on what we call situation plays and that was one of the things we worked very hard on this week”. Admitting the team started slow but they got it together and won it.

to keep it going“. The sure handed tackler went on to say he feels Allen is going to be a good program throughout this Century. “Man when you see how middle school programs look up to this program and what is going on here, we feel we have a very solid foundation and it’s going to stand the test of time”. In closing Jaylon added to be part of this is very special!

A RISING STARS: JADEN GRAVES - SE LIONS - KERRY HALL - ALLEN By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View JADE GRAVES-SE LIO S In one of the most exciting football games we’ve ever witness, Jaden Graves scored on a conversion for a 13-12 win over the Studewood Freshmen Cobras.
The game won by the South East Lions squad in four overtimes at Butler Stadium before a home side stadium full of fans from the Independent Youth Sports Association. It was the Super Bowl and there was tailgating and people really got off to this showdown between two
of the leagues better teams. They battled to a scoreless tie for the first four periods and into the second overtime before they could get any points. The defenses came to play on this day and that what makes Graves left side 17 yard run so special. After they scored to answer the Cobras touchdown pass tying the score at 12, the Lions were penalized for delay of the game and the ball placed at 17 yard line after a motion penalty. In talking with Graves we learned he felt his line did a good job pining the Cobras defensive end inside allowing him to get to the outside. Graves also stepped out of a tackle that would have thrown him for a loss. “I just picked my feet up high and got away from his arms and ran to the end zone”. Graves attends Challenge Elementary in Pearland, Texas and says Math is his favorite
subject. KERRY HALL-ALLE Arlington, Texas-You might call him the good hands man when you want to talk about Kerry Hall a junior receiver who had a big game as Allen won big. The soft spoken receiver grabbed 9 passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns as Kyler Murray passed for over 300 yards and 5 touchdowns in Allen’s big 47-6 win over Cy-Ranch to claim the state’s first class 6A Division I title at A T & T. “Kyler and I have a bound and sure I love being his go-to guy, when a QB trusts his receiver he gets the ball to him and he can make plays”. The junior receiver said he thought the Mustangs went all out to try and stop Kyler and sometimes they forget about our receivers”. Hall added to play some good hard games but in a long run it helps us be more prepared for a good fight”.

WHAT IS TRUTH? THE LESSON: HAPPY HOLIDAYS Subject: Happy Holidays; Please Get Your Bible and Follow This Study OTE DEFI ITIO S: Holiday-1. (n.) A religious festivity:• feast • pageant • feast day For those of us that choose not to follow traditions and doctrines of men, this is not a happy time of the year, but rather a sad one. This causes pain and suffering when so many of our fleshly family members, and/or those that profess to be followers of Christ (Christians), choose to do so. As true followers of Christ we cannot, and will not; (Matt.10:32-39; 2Tim.3:12-17; 1Pet.4:1-7). This hurts our Fleshly feelings, and it goes against our Carnal wants, (our Bellies) (Rom.16:16-19; 2Cor.10:1-7; Gal.5:16-26; Phil.3:16-21; James4:1-10). Those striving to follow Christ (Christians) are commanded by Christ through his apostles, not to observe or give heed to fables, traditions, doctrines, and commandments of men; for these things are Idle> (free from labor, at leisure) (Matt.12:3537, 1Tim.1:4, 2Tim.4:3-4, Titus1: 13-14, Col.2:8-10 and verses 20-22). The commandments of God through Christ and his apostles, edifies the Spiritual Mind and strengthens the New Spiritual man in Christ Jesus, (Rom.12:1-2; 2Cor.5:14-17; Eph.4:20-24; Col.3:1-10). Christians must observe all things that Christ commanded his Apostles (Matt.28:20; John17: 20-21; Acts 1:1-4; 2Pet.3:1-3; 1John4:5-6; Jude 1:16-19). ‘Tis a season that is full of Vanity, decorations, eating in a gluttonous manner, drunkenness and fables; which are lies. Now let’s look at some lies that have been put in place by man, Santa (so-called), riding in a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer, and going down a chimney, of course we know this is a lie. “Santa Claus”, Father Christ/mas and or Kris Kringle, derived from Christ/Kindle, meaning, “Christ Child“ this is an abominable LIE. “This began in Germany, among Protestant denominations”. How many lies can one tell, or be a part of and be right with God? Especially lies involving and surrounding God’s Beloved Son: in whom He is Well pleased: (please hear God and understand; Matt.17:1-8). Christians MUST speak and DO the TRUTH, if we are of Christ, through his apostles’ Word, (please hear Jesus John 17:14-21). Can anyone prove by the inspired Word, that there were three wise men; if we cannot, how can we know it’s true, we cannot? Think about it, children are taught that lying is wrong; except in some cases, one being, of ALL things, the unauthorized celebrations dealing with our
Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This is shameful and DEADLY, to soul salvation. Why would a Christian teach damnation to anyone, especially to their CHILDREN? There are no examples and or commands for Christians to observe Christmas; thereby being unauthorized by Christ and or his apostles. This also sends the message to children that, participating in, or being involved with some lies is ok, especially the ones that MAN thinks he has involved Christ in (1John1:1-6); instead of teaching the TRUTH; that all liars will have their part in HELL. “Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all (1)liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Definition: (1)all liars-5571 pseudes (psyoo-dace’); from 5574; untrue, i.e. erroneous, deceitful, wicked: KJV— false, liar. Children are being brought up in the nurture and admonition of fables/lies, traditions, doctrines, and commandments of men, rather than of The Lord (listen Eph.6:1-4). Remember Christians are to exhort to godliness, (1Tim 4:6-16) please note verses 12&13). It is so sad that so many souls observe in any manner these traditions of men, instead of following the WORD, which is given to us by God through Christ, and his apostles. After all the Word is our MAP to HEAVEN and away from HELL! Note this ERRONEOUS statement, “JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON”; this is a cunningly devised fable, in other words, “believable error”. Because, first of all, in any celebration of birth, to one that yet LIVES, one MUST first KNOW the date of that birth, and then ALL GIFTS MUST be given to the one THAT IS CELEBRATED. Jesus has never been and never will be the reason for any season, because JESUS IS NOT SEASONAL. Jesus Christ is a LIFESTYLE that one MUST strive as a Christian to live 247. Jesus has left instructions on what Christians MUST remember about him, and it is not his birth, but his death (1Cor.11:2334). He lived a life of suffering (Isaiah 53:1-12; Matt.21:1-7; Luke 9:57-62; John1:9-11; John12:25-26), then died most cruelly on the cross for us all. Remember, His Father for our sake was pleased to BRUISE His only begotten Son, Isa.53:10. Then, after His death, and the shedding of blood for the remission of sin: raised Him up on the third day, thereby giving us a chance for salvation, IF we OBEY and follow HIM, through his apostles, (John 17:823; John 19:34; Acts 22:16;
1Cor.1:30; 6:11; Eph.5:26-27; Heb.5:5-9; Heb.9:13-28; James1:21-22; 1Pet.3:21-22; 1Pet.4:1-3; 1John1:6-10). “KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS”, this is another cunningly devised fable, in that the word Christmas cannot be found in the inspired WORD, (the Bible). So then God, the ONE and ONLY HOLY FATHER, which IS IN HEAVEN, did not put his precious Son in it. Christ being the WORD (John1:1-14), never practiced it himself, and GOD made it clear in Matt. the17th chapter, that Christians MUST hear his beloved son, in whom He is well pleased and him ONLY (verse 8). In Matt. 28:18-20 when Jesus Christ was about to ascend back into heaven, he made it clear to his apostles, that all power in heaven and earth had been given unto him, from his Father which is in heaven. Christ then began to leave them instructions on what they MUST do and teach true Christians to observe. In these instructions “Christmas”, and the practice of it, cannot be found. Now, we believe this should open the door for some legitimate questions, for those who want to know the TRUTH, and escape error. For we all MUST strive to escape error, in order to have eternal LIFE. Who made “JESUS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON”? Who put “CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS”? It has been proven by the Apostles’ Doctrine that God the father did not; neither did Jesus Christ and his Apostles. Who else did Christ leave this authority; NO ONE ELSE. According to scriptures Jesus left his Apostles the Word (John17:510), so that when we read (Eph.3:1-7), study (2Tim.2:15) and strive to obey (2Thes.1:7-9; James 1:21-25; 2:17-26; 1Pet.4:12-19) the commands of the apostles (Acts1:1-4; Acts2:41-42; 2Pet.3:1-2; 1John 4:5-6; Jude 1:16-19), this and only this makes us all ONE, right (righteous) with God. Now let us examine the origin of this tradition. Christmas: Date (Dec. 25), was established in (A.D. 336), by the Western Church, based at Rome. The Eastern Orthodox and the Eastern Rite churches within the Roman Catholic Church chose (January 6). There seems to have been some confusion on the date of which this day was to be observed. God is not the author of confusion (listen 1Cor.14:33), this only happens with man’s traditions. This is why Christians MUST observe all things that Christ has commanded the Apostles, (Matt.28:20). Again you will not find the word “Christmas”, or the traditional practice of it, by Christ nor his Apostles. So, there is no such custom in the Church of God
(1Cor.11:16), which he purchased with his blood (Acts20:28), which is the Church of and by Christ (Matt. 16:16-18; Eph.3:21; 5:23-33; Col.1:18). As we can tell by the dates given, this tradition came MUCH TOO late to be of Christ or his apostles. According to Christ Himself, Christians MUST believe on Him through his Apostle’s word, (John17:2021) and continue STEADFAST, in the apostle’s doctrine, as those before us (Acts2:41-42), this is SAFE. The TREE is one of the main things GLORIFIED in this tradition, which man has WITHOUT AUTHORITY; thereby without success, tried to make Jesus the reason for. After all, this is where the so called “GIFTS” are laid, and so much time is spent in the DECORATING of it. The children of Israel were warned of a similar custom; “Jeremiah 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.” Now man has introduced the tradition of the “Christmas Tree”, that many Professing to be Christians, “followers of Christ”, observe. How can this be, when this tradition cannot be found in the apostles’ doctrine or in the inspired WORD of the bible, at all? Man himself proves the fact that Jesus is not the reason for the season, and that he is not in it. For when the, so-called, Christmas season starts, what is truly thought of the most? Is it Christ or is it the time off, the vain carnal trees and decorations, the materialistic gifts, the glutinous foods and drinks, the carnal games and the fleshly family gatherings? Where is Christ? Let your conversation be ONLY about Christ, the scriptures, and soul salvation while at these gatherings and see how popular you will be, (Philp.1:27; 1Tim.4:11 -16; 1Pet.1:13-19; 2Pet.3:8-12). Take the carnal, fleshly wants of man out of the equation; there would be no observance of these carnal days that Christ has not authorized to those that are his. The proof is in the pudding; our GOD is truly our BELLIES Phil 3:16-20, because it seems nothing can be done without carnal food. Today, even buildings that should O LY be built for worship, which include the serving of SPIRITUAL food, for the spiritual edification of the body of Christ, must have KITCHENS. ATHLETES OF THE WEEK JOHN GIBBS JR. ALCORN STATE Junior Quarterback John Gibbs Jr. hit on 20 of 30 passes for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Alcorn State Braves past the Southern Jaguars 38-24 in the 2014 Toyota SWAC Championship game. The NRG Stadium was rocking right off the bat as Gibbs broke one for 51 yards and went on to finish the game as the leading rusher with 137 yards on 16 carries. He found Jordan Payne from 13 yards out to open the scoring and later hit Billy Shed with a 3 yard strike. But Southern scored twice after blocked punts and tied the score with about 10 minutes left in the third period. The Jags defense stiffen and Gibbs was smacked on a crushing hit on third down. “All I’ve been hit harder than that when I played with the Studewood Cobras, man that’s good football Southern played hard”. But Gibbs guided the Braves to two more scoring drives to put the game out of reach. His 51 yard bullet to Brandon Vessell covered 51 yards early in the fourth and the Braves defense took charge from that point. “This was a team win our defense had two 3 and outs while we got out offense back on track, plus our Offensive line played great all game long”
When asked about the fact he is sort of carrying the banner for HISD players on the next level. “This shows there are a lot of former HISD players who came make an impact, here we are winning the Toyota SWAC Championship game with a Booker T. Washington graduate”. Gibbs went to praise the coaching staff for having faith in him when he started out on the journey. “Our staff has worked with me man I tell you they have been coaching me up on the little things that means a lot”. In closing Gibbs made it clear he considered himself blessed to be at Alcorn and to be surrounded by so many good people. Coming home to play for the championship and get the MVP as well, man I’m truly blessed”!

Murray went on to say the Allen community, parents, school administrators and the entire student body share in these championships. “We do everything together and sure I’m going to miss these guys”. All along Murray said he simply plays his
game and if it turns out to be the best to have played so be it. “It’s like sure anyone would want to work hard and be the best not only at this level, but the next level as well”. In closing Murray says he wanted to be able to really enjoy this championship, because we had a lot of close games this year, but tonight we were able to see our backups get in the game and that’s great”.
KYLER MURRAY-ALLEN Arlington, Texas-The sensational Kyler Murray won for the 42nd time as a starter and closed out his high school career with his third state championship. The fleet footer senior hit on 22 of 32 passes for 316 yards and five touchdowns in a big 47-16 win over Cy-Ranch in the state’s first ever class 6A Division I title game at A T & T Stadium. Murray opened the scoring with a 51 yard toss to Cody Butler and closed out the scoring with a 31 yard scoring pass to Lee Morris. He hit Kerry Hall with three more touchdowns passes in

By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Arlington, Texas-Junior defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike had a hand in 7 tackles as well as put pressure on Cy-Ranch offense all game long. The talented lineman helped Allen to a big 47-16 win over Cy-Ranch to win the class 6A Division I title. It’s the first of it’s kind in the state of Texas and he was a happy camper when we talked. “Yes sir we watched a lot of tape this week on the Mustangs and
other than a couple of big plays we kind of knew what to expect for them”. He went on to praise Cy-Ranch’s Charlie Booker who had 115 yard rushing in 24 carries in the loss. “Yes sir he has good feet and a strong grip on the ball as well as a load to bring down”. It’s always good to see good line play on either side of the ball. Allen had plenty and did fine job as they rolled to another perfect season!
