Behind The Wheel With THE KING (Arthur Prayther)

2015 SIERRA DENALI 4WD CREW CAB Dallas, Texas-Here we go again and this time we were behind the wheel of the all-new GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Crew Cab 4 X 4. Let me say right off the bat I now understand why the Cowboys feels so good in their trucks. Having driven 2,000,000 safe miles at the wheel of a big rig it is pleasant to know the HD trucks built right here in the USA can stand up to anything built anywhere in the world. For those of you who aren’t following closely GM is coming back and their truck

plant in flint, Michigan is leading the way. Simply put everything is bigger in Texas man this truck lived up to its billings and then some. First of all the vehicle sits high off the ground and that big 6.6 L V8 Turbo Diesel (820-capable engine with a Allison 1,000 six-speed automatic transmission is one of the World’s best combinations. Producing 397 horse power and 765 pounds per foot of torque the big truck handles like a luxury touring sedan. The unit tows 13,000 pounds with a ball hitch

and 17,100 pounds with a 5th wheel pulling set up. With a 36 gallon fuel tank making fewer stops along your way. The Max payload is 2,793 pounds and the GVWR 10,000 pounds on the new Heavy Duty truck. But driving this vehicle is more fun than you could imagine in your wildest dream.

GMC stands behind this truck with a 5-year/100,000 mile power train limited warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance please see your local dealer for details. Scheduled maintenance 2 year/24,000 miles oil filter def, 4 wheel tire rotation see www.GMC.Com or your local dealer for details on this as well. Taking care of their owners is a good thing and GMC is doing just that as they roll this baby off the line. With an auto-locking RR differential and transfer case with electronic rear axle 4.10 ratio this gives the trailering equipment package an A in my book. Safety comes in a good quality as well with driver and front passenger air bags along with front and side impact along with head curtain. Throw in stability control and trailer sway control plus Hill start assist and antilock brakes with four wheel disc and tire pressure monitoring system. Along with all of this is 6 month Onstar with directions and connections with automatic crash response and turn-by-turn Nav plus 5-year Onstar basic

plan. On the outside you a faced with a bold face chrome filled grille with a massive sporty look. Power rolls aggressively to the pavement on 20” All-Terrain Blackwall Tires with Forged polished aluminum wheels inside them. Those power outside camper mirrors realy set the vehicle off from others and gives it a more professional approach look! On the inside a full featured leather appointed bucket seat with heated and cooled features and the memory for driver and front passenger. The rear seat is 60/40 with folding bench good for extra passengers are a great deal of cargo. A Bose audio system provides the sounds and yes the big 8 inch diagonal color touch screen with Intel link and navigation offers the driver all the info you could want or need. In closing please allow me to add this vehicle is like a luxury touring sedan with a truck bed behind it. Our test vehicle came in at a little more than 64 Grand!

HOME GROWN GMC YUKON XL 4WD SLT OFFERS GREAT DEAL OF FEATURES By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View After test driving the new 2015 GMC Yukon XL 4WD SLT we have come to the conclusion this is like a moving house. Let me make it clear we mean that is a good kind of way. Here we have a truck with luxury car feel behind the wheel but yet has off road capabilities way beyond your average SUV, still it gets 22 miles per gallon on the highway and 15 MPG in the city. It would appear American have finally gotten over the days when automobiles were being built small. Big is back and it is beautiful as is the new 2015 Yukon XL. To begin with it’s built at GM’s Arlington, Texas plant with both the engine and transmission from the United States. The unit has 60 per cent of its part from the U.S. and Canada while another 28 per cent of its content are from Mexico. Power for this unit comes in the form of a proven 5.3 Liter V-8 VVT with active fuel management and direct injection (E85-capable. This is mated to a Hydra-Matic 6180 six-speed automatic transmission. This bad boy cranks out 355 horse power at 5600 RPM and 383 lbs-Foot of torque at 4100 RPM. With a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds on the 4WD models plus it comes with a 31 gallon fuel tank. Great for long trips because it reduces the number of times you have to stop for fuel. Keep in mind when you are behind the wheel of this baby stopping doesn’t cross your mind, because you want to keep right on rolling! Equipped with Max Cargo room of 121.1 cubic feet the new Yukon XL is ready to roll with the best in class. Front head room peaks at 42.8 cubic inches and has 39.1 inches of space in the second row, while the leg room in front is 45.3 inches and the 2nd row offers 39.7 inches. Man the saying everything is bigger is Texas is a true statement when it comes to the new Yukon XL. We are talking about a 130 inch wheel base and 224.3 inches in over all length wit the width of 80.5 inches this truck is ready to move whatever you have in mind and even some things you haven’t thought of yet. Please don’t be fool by all that roominess in the new Yukon and forget about all the luxury components that comes with this package. Safety is on the upswing in large

vehicles as the new Yukon had air bags, frontal and side impact for driver and front passenger, front center head curtain and side impact for all rows in outboard seat positions. Forward collision alert and side blind zone alert with lane change alert, plus lane departure warning and rear vision camera along with rear cross traffic alert. There’s no way you can find a longer list even on Luxury Touring Sedans that cost a great deal more than the 67 Grand this vehicle is listed for. Stabilitrak electronic stability and tire pressure monitoring system rounds out the standing safety equipment for the new Yukon. A premium smooth ride suspension takes you from point A to point B in this vehicle and 20inch polished aluminum wheel covered by All-Season tires helps to stabilize the ride. Warranties for the new Yukon are 5-year/100,000 miles power train limited warranty with scheduled maintenance 2year/24,000 miles oil & Filter and 4 wheel tire rotation, please see your local dealer for details or visit www.GMC.com. A Bose sound system with premium audio system complete with 8-inch diagonal color touch screen with Navigation and intellink. There’s rear seat entertainment center, talk about a thrill for the kids on a long vacation trip. It will certainly appear GM has taken a step forward again in 2015. As is the case with all GM models it is equipped with Onstar and you can simply push the button or visit onstar.com for details on that. Le met say in closing if what

we’ve seen so far is indicative of what we are going to see, then GM is all the way back!

FIAT 500L HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING HARD By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Oh my how time truly flies, man it has been years since we ran across a Fiat but we like what we saw from the new 2014 Fiat 500L. Oh yes the automobile built in Italy has a new feel and man at a price tag of under 21 grand very well equipped you would have to say they are priced to move. With 19 per

cent of its parts from Italy and 21per cent from Serbia with Kragujevac, Serbia as the finals assembly point. The engine and transmission are both built in Italy. The vehicle enters the U.S. at the Baltimore, Maryland port, but it is taking the country by storm. Fact is the unit we tested had a solid fit and feel to it and sits up kind of high which is great for Houston are traffic. Without a doubt the new 500L

The 2014 Fiat 500L

turned some heads, with most people simply wanting to know what kind of vehicle it was. Under the stylish hood is a 1.4 Liter In-line four cylinder with Multi-Air turbo engine. It’s mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Power rolls to the ground on P 205/55R 16 inch All-Season tires wrapped around 16 inch alloy wheels. This baby cranks out 25 miles per gallon in the city and 33 on

the highway. That came in handy because we never had to add fuel during our weeklong test period and you know we stay on the go! The front fascia and grille takes on a bold yet friendly approach and the way the head lamps sort of gives you the eyebrow affect, the new 500L had a style of its own. The rear cargo area had plenty of space and even the rear seat leg room was at a high premium. Advance multistage front airbags with supplemental front seat-mounted side airbags and side curtain along with driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags. Reactive head rest and child seat anchor system latch ready helps to add to a full array of safety features. Throw in four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes with electronic stability control and tire pressure monitoring system rounds it all out nice and neat. Other features include such things as front and rear 1-touch up/down power windows. Power door locks and remote

keyless entry along with hill start assist and speed control. Keep in mind we are not talking about a high end luxury vehicle but an entry level product that’s loaded with standard features that sounds a lot like High End Luxury! Once you are inside the new Fiat 500L you are greeted to a user friendly layout with large easy to read gauges. A 5.0 AM/FM/Bluetooth integrated voice command with Bluetooth and 6-Premium Speakers supported by Media Hub with USB and Aux ports. The Steering wheel had mounted audio controls and is leather wrapped for a steady feel. The Warranties for the new Fiat 500 is 4-year/50,000 miles basic warranty, with a 4-year/50,000 miles power train warranty and roadside assistance with certain restrictions applying. In closing allow me to add the bright exhaust tips and deep tint sunscreen glass help to add a flare to the vehicle!

Out and About with John Engel THE DESTINATION - JOHN ENGEL The next destination was also our farthest north. We arrived in Skagway on a beautiful spring day. The town was a way from the terminal and we bought bus passes for the day. Also we discovered that this area receives a tidal change of over 20 feet from high tide to low tide and this happens twice a day. The ship had to change the deck we used to get on and off a couple of times to accommodate this surge. There was a lot to see in Skagway. This is where the gold miners of the gold rush would arrive by ship and begin their journey for gold. Here we took a walking tour of the Red Onion Saloon. This is a brothel that accommodated the miners and is over 150 years old. Our walking tour was guided by a “Madame that gave us a lot of information about the gold rush and how few men were actually successful in their quest for fortune. Although a tiny bit bawdy, it was very humorous and educational. To see the conditions the people of the area had to endure makes me thankful for everything I have. From Skagway we sailed to Glacier Bay. This is the home of the most active glaciers in the world. We discovered that only three cruises were going to the bay this year and we were lucky enough to be on one of them. The ship took on several park rangers that gave us running commentary during the entire day. At the Glacier we stopped and drifted for about an hour. During this time we were able to see the ice break off the glacier as it moved toward the water. When this happened it exposed beautiful blue ice. The water surrounding the ship was covered with small ice flows. On many of the flows were sea lions that were as amused to be watching us as were watching them. As we were leaving we saw ice flows that were stranded by the tidal changes. When the tide comes back us they will be freed and allowed to go back to sea. Our last port was Ketchikan. This is a logging and fishing town. It bills itself as the salmon fishing capital of the world. A beautiful little city we were able to take in a lumberjack show. It

was funny and informative. After the show the participants lingered and we were able to talk to them. We also were able to enjoy a fantastic fish dinner before heading back to the ship. By the time we boarded we were all ready to relax and enjoy the cruise back to Seattle. On the trip back to Seattle we enjoyed some more entertainment and great food. Every night on this trip we dined at the formal dining room. We were blessed with a table at the rear of the ship with a great view of the sea. Our wait staff entertained and served us well. The fun part of shipboard dining is that you get to eat what you want. On one night lobster was served. As my lady is a lobster addict, she ordered (and devoured) three lobster tails. If you wanted two starters and three desserts, no problem. The ship offered a bag check service that would take your luggage from your cabin and check it all the way to your destination. As our bag count had grown to six checked bags, we took advantage of this offer. This

allowed us to take local transportation from the cruise terminal all the way to the airport. A city bus took us about six miles to downtown then we transferred to the light rail that took us directly to the airport. Houston could learn a lot about public transit from Seattle! Our corner of Texas is very flat and the mountains with their snow caps and the ice were a true experience. One I will never

forget. This trip was quite expensive, but not too overpriced. I feel that I received a good value for the money spent. Alaska is a once in a lifetime experience for me. I will never forget this trip and am very glad I was able to make the journey. An eight day cruise with the amount of ground transportation involved is not for everyone, but

if it intrigues you it may be worth looking onto. Cruising is a great way to see the world and is not a bad value. Your cruise expense covers all dining, entertainment and ship board luxuries except premium dining and spas. The cruise line does try to sell you extras and every corner, but you can easily avoid these and work within a budget.

STUDEWOOD COBRAS OPEN CAMP FOR THEIR 39TH SEASON By Dr. Victor Keys A King-Size View As the football season rolls around again it’s year number 39 for the Studewood Cobras little league organization. Year in and year out the Studewood Cobras have made their way to many super bowls over the years. Walter Penrice senior is working just as hard as he was when he joined the Cobras 37 years ago. The Cobras Family mourns the loss of James (Big Daddy Pen) Penrice who passed away in April of this year. The Cobras following were on hand in Ben Wheeler, Texas to pay tribute to one of their former coaches. Big Pen coached the Cobras to more than 6 Super Bowls Titles during his stay before his job took him to Tyler, Texas. But staying on the phone with is brother Walter he kept in touch with the Cobras as he and his wife (Brenda) built a new home in Tyler. Keeping his Christian life going strong Big Pen was a member at Mt. Zion C.M.E. church and served on the Usher Board and the Male Chorus. We are certain the Cobras will name an award in his honor beginning this fall!

With two great pitchers coming back and even though she’s been coaching 30 years she had no plans on retiring soon. STUDENT OF THE WEEK

LYRIC MCCOY While going out to cover the opening camp of the Studewood Cobras 39th year we ran into an interesting little girl. Lyric McCoy is a cheerleader for the Super Bowl Champion Cobras cheerleading squad. After joining the Cobras 5 years ago this third grader is the charming daughter of Veatrice and Erick McCoy and had near perfect report card to close out her 2nd grade year at Highland Heights

Elementary school. This year she will attend Southwest Elementary and favors Math because she feels she can do very well in it. Taking a liking to Ms Perkins at Highland Heights Lyric says other than her parents Ms. Perkins is her most driving force in life. She credited Perkins with using a professional way of teaching and getting the most out of her students. Admitting she didn’t follow politics that closely Lyric said she feels President Obama is doing a pretty good job in the White House. But when we asked her if she thought a female would ever be President of the United State she replied No at first. But she later added she feels if Michelle Obama would run she could probably win. “Well I think since she was in the White House with Mr. Obama all this time she should be able to do the job when he leaves”. Guest so that is a point to take into consideration. Lyric has goals of becoming a pediatrician as an adult. “I’ve always wanted to be a doctor and work to make sick children well”. On Sundays you’ll find the McCoy family over at Brown Chapel Church on Washington Avenue. “Yes sir I like going to church over there, all the good singing and preaching is good

for you”. When it comes to school changes Lyric says she would do away with the dress code. “I just think you should be able to dress the way you want too when you go to school”. She

also added sometimes the lesson is a little too hard and some students can’t seem to keep up. Describing herself as a Brave and good person who can easily get along with most people. In closing Lyric says she had

Byron is currently 5 years old and will be celebrating his 6th birthday on Monday, June 23, 2014. This young man stays busy, when he is not practicing football with

the Studewood Cobras; he is training with the rest of his class learning the techniques and skills of Martial Arts. His mother and grandmother stated that for his birthday, he will also join a youth track team this summer. According to young Byron, he is the fastest boy at his school. I had an opportunity to see him practice his football skills and I

was extremely impressed by his efforts and knowledge of the game at such a young age. Currently, Bryon is attending Harris Academy and is in kindergarten. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Bryon stated that “he wanted to be a professional football player and the fasted man in the world”.

I am very proud to see this young man doing so many positive things for his young age. I am also elated to see that his parents and grandparents are so supported of him and knowing that, I can only see good things for him along with a very bright future.

WHAT IS TRUTH? CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD BE NOT WAR I G….WAR I G! There are many in the religious world today proclaiming to be “Christians”. Many believing that the afflictions/sufferings/tribulations Christians must bear are only sicknesses, troubles, and being talked about. Think about it, who in this world does not feel pain because of some sort of illness? Who in this world have not had some sort of troubles in their lives? Most if not all, get talked about at some point in their lifetime. We believe the pre-stated conditions or common to all men, and are if you will, just the tip of the iceberg. We believe the whole iceberg is this, the uncommon SUFFERINGS of Loving not the World Neither the Things that are in it (1John 2: 15-17); and to present our bodies a LIVING SACRIFICE (Rom.12:1-2), to be not conformed to this world; Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. CONFORMED BE NOT CONT. Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.(KJV) Rom 12:2 ... be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, (KJV) Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. ow if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.(KJV) 2 Cor 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.(KJV) 2 Cor 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.(KJV) 2 Cor 10:7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to him-

self that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.(KJV) Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,(KJV) Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.(KJV) Phil 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.(KJV) Phil 3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. 17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:(KJV) Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;(KJV)

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.(KJV) Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;(KJV) 1 Pet 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, (1)arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh (2)hath ceased (3)from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable (4)idolatries: 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Definitions: (1)arm yourselves3695 hoplizo (hop-lid’-zo); from 3696; to equip (with weapons [middle voice and figuratively]) 2) to provide 3) to furnish oneself with a thing (as with arms) 4) metaphorically, to take on the same mind: KJV— armself…..(2)hath ceased-3973 pauo (pow’-o); a primary verb (“pause”); to stop (transitively or intransitively), i.e. restrain, quit, desist, come to an end 2) to restrain a thing or person from something 4) to have gotten release from sin; no longer stirred by its incitements and seductions: KJV— cease, leave, refrain……(3)from sin-266 hamartia-1) equivalent to 0264 a) to be without a share in b) to miss the mark c) to err, be mistaken d) to miss or wander from the path of uprightness and honor, to do or go wrong e) to wander from the law of God, to violate God’s law, to sin 2) that which is done wrong, sin, an offence, a violation of the divine law in thought or in act…(4) abominable idolatries 1495 eidololatreia-1) the worship of false gods, idolatry b) used of avarice, as a worship of Mammon 2) in the plural, the vices springing from idolatry and peculiar to it. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.(KJV) Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.(KJV) Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.(KJV) Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.(KJV) 1Thes 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to (1)walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, even your (2)sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the (3)lust of (4)concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: (KJV) Definitions: (1) ought to walk4043 peripateo (per-ee-pat-eh’o); from 4012 and 3961; to tread all around, i.e. walk at large (especially as proof of ability); figuratively, to live, deport oneself, follow (as a companion or votary) 1) to regulate one’s life 2) to conduct oneself 3) to pass one’s life: KJV— go, be occupied with, walk(about)……(2)sanctification-38 hagiasmos (hag-ee-asmos’); from 37; properly, purification, i.e. (the state) purity; concretely (by Hebraism) a purifier: KJV— holiness, sanctification. THE A-NOTE with Aaron Watson

PIECE BY PIECE We have 24 hours in a day and it seems as if that is not enough to do whatever it is we need to do to make our lives better. When you include work, sleep, taking care of the kids this is the biggest deturrent of success as many would tell you. But why? we are taught that completing something is the only way you can feel accomplishment. You have been taught to only see the final product before you receive credit or even worse if you change your mind about your goal, you couldn't do it or you failed. That could be the only

articles is to share with you some scriptural truths, thereby exposing error, as we search for “What is Truth”. Thank you so much for your interest in the WORD of TRUTH; GRACE and SALVATION; John 17:1721; Acts 20:29-32; James1:2125. After all it is our MAP to HEAVEN and away from HELL, and the continuance in it, is the O LY thing that allows the man of God to be perfect, 2Tim.3:12-17!

reason why you didn't carry it out, right?

I'm sure with all of your activities you feel you don't have time to do the things that you want to do, but have you ever wondered how when something comes up unexpectedly you were able to get it done? Let's take more of a mathematical approach. We have 24 hours in a day we work 9 hours including travel to and from, we should sleep 8 hours (Many of us sleep less than 6). After this everything else is choice, so that leaves 7 hours a

E-mail: bibletruth1@sbcglobal.net - P. O. Box 21667 day, 35 hours a week, 140 hours a month and 1,680 hours a year unused. That's right 70 DAYS and that doesn't include weekends! So what's the problem? The problem is the same problem that we have with our money, we don't budget. If we do budget we use a cookie cutter or a one size fits all approach. Everyone is different so you can't look to imitate someone else. Well, how do I budget my time? First step you have to outline what you want and make sure that is something that you are willing to sacrifice to get. Secondly, you must be willing to do it piece by piece and have patiences because you don't have hours upon hours to spend on this everyday. Third, budget time for everything you have to do and if it don't fit in the budget, just like with money, you can't do it. Fourth, stick to your budget and look at your goals as loan payoffs know how much time, as close as you can, you need to pay it off.

The guilt of status quo - we sometimes feel guilty if we don't volunteer for things that we are asked to do or if our child is not in every activity that he/she wants to be in. This is not a factor if what you have in mind is to truly help the position of yourself and your family. Example, if a family that pays $120 for cable can sacrifice for one year that's $1,440 in the bank, lets get say you just cut your cable package in half that's still $720 a year. Statistics show we spend 4 to 5 hours a day watching TV, so actually if you set goals and follow though you won't have time to watch that much TV anyway. Wait did you just read that last line? out of the 7 free hours a day we have statistics showing that 4 to 5 of those hours are spent watching TV……. WOW. Examples of how to work this time thing out. So you cook for about and hour everyday, ok take one day out and cook for the week. That will not save you time for the week but that goal is done and you only do it once

a week. Go grocery shopping only once or twice per month. You don't waste time and gas running back and fourth to the store. Make important calls during your breaks at work or to and from work, use this time to your advantage. These are a few of many ways you can give yourself the time you need to be successful with the time your already have. Your time is like investing money you should want a return on your investment. Invest in your family, your career, extra streams of income, or even on getting your body in shape. There are all sorts of things you can invest you time and that will pay dividends over time your job is to find out what's most important to you. P.S. still don't have enough time? Well, if you give yourself just the 7 hours a day on the weekend that you give yourself during the week that's and extra 30 days added to the 70 you already have budgeted.

were off. Two races for both sexes-boy was it exciting to watch. Not just the winners but for all that competed. They were given a heroe’s welcome; a standing ovation! Well-deserved. It was something to see. I can't descibe how viewing these young ladies and men compete at the state meet was like. Wheelchair athletes have compted in other states for years but to do so in Texas was still something to witness. One athlete stated it wasn't about winning and losing but being able to compete like everybody else. Watching all the races reminded our photographer Victor Keys of Houston Wheatley playing in state title games in 1967 during integrationn in Texas. People just wanted to see the game. It was the place to be to see this black school from H-Town agaunst a white school in the state capitol Austin. I can tell you this was quite a moment for me and many fans in attendance. We encourage our readers to observe the photos of these athletes. They are great human beings and are great athletes. The UIL made the right decision.

TRUCKER MICHAEL ROBINSON TO RELEASE GOSPEL SINGLE By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View When the late great Little Willie John released his hit song “Fever” in 1956 his first cousin Michael Robinson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. As the years went by Michael went to Detroit and later sang with Raymond Jones and a group named Love Portions. Then moving closer to his family tree he worked on some projects with Keith and Kelvin John the sons of the legendary Little Willie John before they joined

After more than 17 years as a Driver Sales Representative for Con-Way Freight, Michael teamed up with famed producer Chris Lieck of C L Productions and put a song he wrote more than 8 years ago to tracks. “This Life” is the title of his single and it will be on the soon to be released Greg Robinson CD “A Man of God”. Greg is Michael older brother who is scheduled to release his

second CD in late July or early August. Over his life Michael has stayed in touch with the legendary Mable John sister of the later Little Willie John and currently operates a Community Center in Los Angles, California. Having been the a receptionist at Mo Town back in the day Mable John was the first artist on the Tamla Label and ahead of acts such as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and many others. In this song Michael talks about the second coming of Jesus Christ and it’s time for people to get their house in order. Robinson went on to say it was an honor to see Chris Lieck produce his brother’s Greg Lee Robinson CD a while back. “It’s an honor

to be working with a producer like Chris who has worked with Janet Jackson and other big name stars”. In addition, Michael was sure to let me know that Barbara SappRobinson, his wife of 30 years, has always encouraged him to stay with his singing. The new CD will be available on CD Baby.com and you can follow the Robinson Brothers careers by reading A King-size View Newspaper or simply visit www.kingsizeview.com for more information!
