Cubic Orbit 20 The Orbit 20 from Cubic Aquarium is not your average aquarium for keeping goldfish, this tank has been specifically designed for keeping jellyfish, whether it is in your home or on your desk at work (probably best to check with your boss first though), this will look spectacular. With a 23 litre capacity (6 Gallons) the Orbit 20 has been created for the use of juvenile or smaller jellyfish species and makes a good tank for beginners. With LED illumination it provides a beautiful and hypnotic scene. The Orbit is made from a tough acrylic and measures up at 380mm x 205mm (15”x 8”), it will house up to ten juveniles (2.5cm/1”) or three small (8cm/3”) jellies, the LED light can be operated with a remote control, so you can change the scene at a push of a button. Skull Shaver Pitbull Platinum With a brand name ‘Skull Shaver’ you may be able to guess what the Pitbull Platinum might be specifically designed for, but just to eliminate any room for confusion: it is here to give you a close, angry doorman-style shave on your head and face. Air Hogs Sonic Rocket Sometimes the oldies are the best, I remember making bottle rockets in our back garden and the anticipation of either it zipping up over the neighbours fence or it falling over in a with an anticlimactic flop. The rocket is a good size at 9 x 4.25 x 2 and the base measures 5.75 x 5.5 x 1.3, it is recommended for outside use (large open areas are best) but due to its lightweight it is best to keep out of the wind. The rocket is made from a crash-resistant EPP foam to help keep it in once piece when it comes back down to earth, but again because of its lightweight it lands rather gracefully, no crash landings here. The rocket is suitable for ages 8 years and over but it is recommended that it is always used under the direct supervision of an adult. Senz˚ Automatic Deluxe I don’t think I could have asked for better weather to test out the Senz˚ Automatic Deluxe than what we experienced today: with winds reaching 46mph, we had rain, snow, and everything in between! The Automatic Deluxe from Senz˚ isn’t just a pretty package, it has been thoughtfully designed to withstand windspeeds of up to 100km (roughly 60mph) without the frustratingly embarrassing event of it turning inside out, making you look like you have been dragged through a wet hedge backwards in seconds. This excellent attribute is down to the umbrellas unique aerodynamic shape which, unlike traditional round umbrellas, has a longer shape which stretches out in one direction. This lets the

wind pass through without flipping it inside out, and it really does work, even in the nastiest of winds. Senz˚ provides a little diagram on the label to demonstrate the correct way to hold the umbrella for the best protection based on the direction of the wind. You don’t have to worry about catching your fingers in any mechanisms as this brolly is fully automatic and pops open with a push of a button. The button is a little stiff for my small fingers, but it may loosen up over time, and to collapse it back down simply
press the button again and both ends together to reset ready for next time. All details seem to have been considered here with smooth plastic caps (‘Eyesavers’) covering the pointed metal ends, so you don’t have to worry about stabbing someone in the eye or getting it caught up in their hair, and the Automatic Deluxe also has a SPF 50+ coating to keep you protected from the sun. As if just being an awesome brolly wasn’t enough, the Automatic Deluxe looks beautiful: it has leather trim on the handle and sleeve and a glossy highquality canopy that wouldn’t look out of place at any event. The
canopy is quick drying; one good shake will get most of the water off and then you can pop it in the sleeve. Even the sleeve has been considerately designed, with a magnetic fastening which means you can easily slide it in the wide opening rather than wrestle it into a narrow sleeve like cheaper umbrellas. I never thought I would be so smug at owning an umbrella, but the Senz˚ Automatic Deluxe truly is the best! Thule Urban Glide The Urban Glide from Thule is an all-round sports stroller - did you even know sports strollers exist? If, like me, you thought a stroller was just for transporting your child/shopping from one location to another, then think again! The Urban Glide has been created to allow you to lock out the front wheel, so you can go jogging; you may struggle to see the positives over the negatives of running with a stroller and a demanding little person. However, you may be surprised to discover that as well as providing a good cardio workout with the extra weight and steering the stroller can tone up your arm and shoulder muscles too. Having the stroller in front of you can prevent over-striding, plus the extra storage option makes it easier to bring water, sunglasses, cake, or whatever you might need. As for jogging with the Urban Glide, it is really good: the locked front wheel doesn’t affect steering unless you go around a very tight corner, in which case you may need to raise the front wheel off the ground, but its lightweight makes this easily achievable. Skandika Saturn 6 During the gloomy winter months, my mind often turns to making plans in the summer and seeing as how I’m floating between post-wedding and premortgage money is understandably a little tight, so a budget camping trip is looking like the only chance of a holiday this year. Luckily, I LOVE camping! If you are camping with a family, have friends too lazy to set up their own tent, or just like lots of space, the Saturn 6 from ‘Skandika’ could be exactly what you need. This 6-berth family tent is plenty roomy, with its highest point reaching 200cm and with two sleeping compartments with room for three people. Now we know these numbers often represent the maximum capacity it will sleep, so if you like a bit more room and don’t fancy being noseto-nose with your camp mates, it will be more comfortable with four people. Alternatively, you can kick everyone out, roll up the room divider and have one massive bedroom all to yourself. A tent of

this size can be a bit daunting to set up, however the Saturn 6 will become quick and easy to erect after a few practises, but it’s best to have two people just to speed up the process. The shatterproof fibreglass poles pop together and slide through the integrated sleeves; the outer layer pops up first with a sewn-groundsheet, then the inner compartments are then attached inside and the porch groundsheet can be pegged down. For protection against the elements this tent has waterproof
sealed seams, and the outer shell offers a 5,000mm water column protection - the highest available quality for family tents. There are guy ropes provided but annoyingly they don’t come pre-attached, so you will have to put your knotting skills to the test (they are also red which isn’t very visible in low lighting). The tent seems well made, with reinforced eyelets and tabs, and the excess of doors and windows makes for excellent ventilation. The inner lining is breathable and the mesh on the sleeping pod and main entrances keep out the bugs. The side entrance can be used as an extra porch for storage or use as a sunshade. Mophie Juice Pack Air iPhone 7 Myself and a group of friends went out for a birthday lunch last week that quickly degenerated into an all day drinking session. We spent the night swapping stories and taking a few stupid photos, then just like Cinderella, it all went wrong as the clock struck 12! With the Kaldbakur jacket from 66 Degrees North, it was love at first sight, a rare experience for me that usually only happens around cake. The majority of my wardrobe is black, it’s a great colour, it goes with everything and matches my soul so it was great to see a coat available in Black, it is also available in Storm Blue for better visibility, not a hint of pink or purple in sight, yes! The Kaldbakur is versatile jacket with a slim fitted profile and no bulk to battle, it is extremely light and with GORE-TEX technology, it is also both waterproof and windproof whilst still retaining breathability. To ensure you stay dry the waterproofing has minimum 28.000 mm, the seams are all taped up, even the pockets have water repellent Aquaguard zippers to keep your possessions dry. walking the dog, commuting to work or shopping around the city the Kaldbakur has got you covered. If the weather clears up it won’t add any extra to your pack weight and GORE-TEX Paclite 100% Polyamide folds up into an impressively compact piece. The bands come in a smart looking box, similar to what you would expect from a high-end jewellery brand, however when you handle to box it doesn’t feel as high quality as it looks… although no one ever buys anything for the packaging it can often be an early
indicator of the quality of the product inside. At least the box can be recycled but the same cant be said for the foam padding inside which appears to be the only reason the box is as large as it is. The seam on padded cushion the band was wrapped around had split open with the stuff exposed which immediately rang alarms bells as the potential quality of stitching on the band. However, the band and metal clasp appear well made with a tight, clean stitch, the leather is soft and doesn’t crinkle or crease when wearing it. It is easy to attach to your Apple Watch by simply sliding into the connecting ports on either side of the watch and when attached it feels secure, our impression of the Casetify Double Tour Apple Watch Band is that it will bring a traditional and elegant look to a modern device, just ignore the cheap packaging. Sphero Spider-Man One of the latest additions to the Sphero family is Spider-Man - with his animated LCD eyes, he is expressive and a little cheeky. Like all the best superheroes, he is Bluetooth enabled, with a 30m range. Together you can go on missions and fight crime! Spider-Man’s Wi-Fi capabilities allow for automatic updates of the latest missions, villains, and other content. Like his comicbook counterpart, he has a quick wit and will take you on with his cheeky banter. He is voice activated with a good, clear quality speaker and integrated microphone. He connects over the free iPhone and Android compatible app, allowing you to team up with Spidey and decide the best way to defeat infamous baddies including Doc Ock, Venom and Vulture. The ‘Rose’ has a VLT of 48%, making them best suited for lower light conditions such as overcast days; these provide clear visuals in and out of the shadows. The Attack are frameless glasses designed for attaching the entire temple pieces to the lens with an easy clip attachment. They
have a hydrophilic ‘Megol’ cover which helps keep the glasses secure, even in raining or sweaty conditions. The nose piece has two positions to find a comfortable fit and has the same ‘Megol’ coating to prevent them sliding down your nose. The lenses also have a ‘Hydroleophobic’ coating to help the rain bead off. The Attack comes in a rather large hard case, which is mostly foam lining with specific cut-out sections for both lenses and temple pieces and a microfibre soft case. The Attack glasses performed well during our test: the wrap around lenses completely cover your eyes and give you excellent visuals without any peripheral blind spots. There is good ventilation, which works well at keeping any fogging away, and they feel light and secure on your face for the duration of wear. They are a little on the pricey side, but I think (for once!) you are getting what you pay for here! RRP £195.00

Somfy One The Somfy One is an all-in-one home security device with a full HD video camera, 90+ dB siren, motion detector and active privacy shutter. It is easy to install: place the Somfy One in the desired location and plug it in, download the app and with a few clicks it is installed and ready to go! You will only need to set it up once, so if you decided to move the Somfy One it will be ready to work straight away. The HD camera has a 130° wide-angle lens with night vision and an 8X digital zoom. The motion detector sensor activates and starts recording as soon as it detects movement, and the intruder-deterrent siren will activate if someone enters your home uninvited, with the 90+ dB acting as a warning to scare off the intruder, or you can set the siren off manually from your smart phone. The sensor is activated when two changes in your home occurs at the same time: a significant temperature change (body heat) and movement. This means it won’t be triggered by movement outside or when the central 56
heating comes on. As soon as an intruder is detected the Somfy One takes a photo and records a few seconds to capture the moment of break in for evidence. One of the things I immediately liked about the Somfy One is the privacy shutter, this is a motorised shutter that automatically closes when you return home and opens when you leave, so you don’t have to worry about you being watched in your own home. You can also open and close it at will from the app. In the event of power failure, the Somfy One has a sixhour backup battery and is compatible with
alarm accessories to better protect your home including the ‘IntelliTAG’, an indoor motion sensor, an indoor and outdoor siren, key fob and security camera. Although Somfy claims that the One has “Accurate detection. No false alarms”, we did have one false alarm in the short time we have been using it, and nothing will ruin a lunch out as your phone telling you your home is under attack! When we checked the feed absolutely nothing was happening and when we got home we still couldn’t identify the issue - hopefully it was a one off. On the plus side, we have two cats that occasionally like to treat the house like the Ninja Warrior assault course and this didn’t trigger false alarms. This is thanks to the selective detection which allows you to define which areas you
want to protect and which ones to ignore. If someone moves or attempts to destroy your device the Somfy One will activate the alarm. You can speak and listen to your home through the app, which is good for saying goodnight to children left with a babysitter or telling your dog to get off the sofa. The Somfy One recognises the sound of your smoke detector and sends a warning directly on your smartphone, there is even access sharing available which means your neighbours, friends or family can also help protect your house. It is also compatible with Amazon Echo (Nest and IFTTT), allowing you to tell Alexa to activate the alarm on your way out. Except for the one false alarm the Somfy One worked well, the picture quality was clear, and it did a good job picking up motion, automatically activating and my god that alarm will scare off intruders, neighbours and invading countries; it is that loud! However,
for this price tag it is rather limited; I think it is being deliberately awkward to encourage you to upgrade to the subscription service. For example: if you forget to download the video footage, which is highly possible if you have suffered the stress of a break-in, it will be automatically erased after 24 hours - losing your evidence forever! The app is still intermittent and not very user friendly, which isn’t ideal if you are trying to turn the alarm off at the time. It needs work before it is worth the money but has good potential of becoming an awesome product. RRP £229.00

However most airlines allow children to remain on the lap until two years old, but at this age children can sit in their own seats if you choose to pay. The issue is that all the seats on the planes have seat belts that are designed for adults and don’t hold their little bodies in place as well. The CARES aims to help keep your child more secure during the flight. CARES is the first and only harness type Aviation Child Safety Device to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an alternative to a car seat, it is a beltand-buckle design that works alongside the belt already available on the chair, providing

a chest harness as well as the lap belt. Weighing just one pound it won’t add too much to your hand luggage, however it is a little bulky, even in the stuff sack it is about 6” which may not sound a lot but anyone travelling with children will know they already need an entire house worth of stuff leaving you with room for your passport and that’s about all. It can be used on any seat except the emergency exit row, however a word of warning, we have
found a few reports of some companies and flight attendants restricting the use this so always check with the airline before booking. The CARES has a good quality of construction, but it is not without its issues, first you need to attach a strap around the back of the chair which means, interacting with the person behind the child, opening their tray table, fastening it and closing their tray table, it doesn’t really affect the person behind but for someone who feels self-conscious reclining their seat the thought of having to ask permission to invade their minimal personal space fills me with fear. The second issue is one that would
put me off purchasing it entirely, as most economy seats are made from that pretend leather they can be quite slippery and as the CARES doesn’t have a leg harness the child can slip down in the seat resulting in the chest buckle becoming positioned around the neck. The CARES is a good idea, it best suited for older children to prevent them slipping in the harness, however the older they are the more likely it is they will be comfortable in just the lap harness rendering the CARES an expensive and unnecessary purchase. Snakehive Slimline 8+ Based in the UK, ‘Snakehive’ has been designing and crafting phone cases and accessories since 2009, using vintage, genuine leather and FSC certified & sustainably-sourced wood for a wide range of phone models. The Slimline comes in a huge range of model compatibility; we received our sample in the iPhone 8+ size, featuring smartstitching in a matching shade to the leather and a subtle embossed ‘Snakehive’ icon in the bottom right hand corner on the outside and the ‘Snakehive’ logo on the inside. The Slimline has a wallet case design and has a strong, hidden magnetic closure to secure it in place. The outer covering is made from ‘Premium Dappled Leather’ and it has a ‘Kickstand Function’ for viewing videos or movies. The ‘Kickstand Function’ works by the back cover of the 60
case folding in on itself horizontally, creating a viewing stand for your phone without having to remove it from the case. The case, as you would expect, has been designed around the sockets and ports to allow for charging and camera functions access. On the inside of the front cover there is a single slot for a bank card (you can get away with two cards before it ruins the profile of the case). The leather on the slot is very soft and even with one card in you can see the shape of the card underneath, which makes me think it will easily stretch out over time. There is also a larger compartment behind the card slot to store bank notes.
The case is adequately made; I would argue with the name Slimline it isn’t any slimmer than your average case, and the way the card compartment is designed it will quickly become bulky if you use more than one card. However, it is a reasonably priced case that will protect your device and look good at the same time. RRP £24.95

Petzi Treat Cam With a name like ‘Petzi Treat Cam’ it doesn’t take a lot of effort to guess what it does this product does, but, just in case, let me clarify that it is a pet camera/treat dispenser. This allows you to check in on your pet when you are not there and (if they are being well-behaved) reward them with a treat or two from anywhere and at any time. The Petzi was much larger than any other pet cameras we have tested: at 14 x 8.25 x 6.25 inches it is quite a beast! The benefit 62
of this is that you can fill it with larger treats suitable for dogs and get more in in one go than some of its competitors, however
it’s not the most attractive design; it reminds me of a soap dispenser you might find in your local pub. It can be wall mounted with the included kit or simply placed on a shelf or table. The angle is perhaps slightly wider than your normal camera lens but it’s not huge, yet there were still blind spots even
in our little living room. The image quality is sharp, and the automatic night vision produces an equally impressive picture. The Petzi was easy to set up: simply download the app, connect over Wi-Fi and fill up with treats by removing the entire front case. The plug was a USA-style plug so you will need an adaptor, which is always a bit of a disappointment and for some reason you need to set up a social media style account with a photo before it will let you complete the instalment, something that I wasn’t a fan of. We found there was a few seconds delay on the image but it wasn’t an issue - the app loads up quickly and is intuitive, with a microphone icon that you can hold down to talk to your pet. The voice comes though clearly with little distortion, you can also take photos and activate the treat dispenser function. The treat launcher was unexpectedly hilarious the first time we

the surprisingly low weight of 7.71kg empty, 9.07kg with foam. The 1560 isn’t going to win any beauty contests, although it is tough and scratch resistant we found that it doesn’t take much force to scuff it up. This adds to its tough appearance and doesn’t affect the performance but could bother the more ‘precious’ consumer. The 1560 has an automatic pressure equalisation valve to ensure the appropriate pressure inside the case - the latches are easy to open but the hinge to the lid is stiff, the rubber ‘O-ring’ seal ensures no water
or dust will creep in through the seams. The retractable handle is difficult to operate, as it takes an awkward manoeuvre to pop it out and doesn’t retract smoothly, which can slow you down when on the move. The handle itself also doesn’t appear to be very strong and bends quite easily. The wheels provide an effortless movement however they are a little small, which makes moving up and down curbs more difficult. However, you could always buy the 1560M which comes with bigger wheels for irregular terrains. All in all, the Peli 1560 is a trusty companion to keep your gear safe and protected. I would like to see improvements to the wheels and handle to make travel slightly easier, but other than that it is one tough cookie! £196.56

KitSound Kinetic Wireless Neckband Headphones The quickest way to get me in a physical mood is by listening to my favourite tunes and forgetting about 20-40 sweating bodies around me…I am of course talking about working out (sorry to disappoint). Whether you are running outside, lifting weights or listening to a guided workout, the last thing you want is to be tethered to your phone or mp3 player and tangled up in cables. The Kinetic from KitSound is a wireless, Bluetooth enabled set of headphones with a neckband. Designed to be the ultimate in sports headphones, the Kinetic has a flexible silicone neckband that supports the earpieces to prevent them accidently hitting floor if you take them out. The neck piece is comfortable and stays in place even when sweating, there is a seam on either side

which has the potential of causing irritation and the overall finish would be better without it. The ear pieces connect with a satisfying magnetic closure, however they only fit together one way which is impossible to see, so you need to twist it until it snaps in place. The charger has the same magnetic feature, it is small and compact and connects to a USB plug, taking about two hours for a full charge - you will get about seven hours playtime. Pairing the headphones up to your device via V4.0 Bluetooth is straightforward and intuitive, the box boasts a connectivity range
of 8 meters, but we struggled to get over 4 at times. For the best sound make sure you remain close to your device. The ear pieces house 9mm drivers that deliver an acceptable sound quality, the bass could do with a little more punch and there is a slight hiss from the Bluetooth connection, but it’s no more than I’d expect from the price range. Due to the magnetic connection the two ear pieces often connected to each other around my neck forming a necklace, this might not happen to everyone depending on the size of their neck (mine is rather slender), this actually straightened out the ear piece wires, when they weren’t connected the wires bend up and touch the side of my face which
I found rather annoying and may be an issue for other users. I tested out the Kinetic over a variety of activities including, yoga, high intensity interval training, running and simply enjoying the music about the house, I found they performed well during all exercises. The neckband soaked up the movement and prevented and pull on the earpieces, it obviously moved about but remained comfortable even during burpees and jumping jacks, which surprised me. The neckband has three buttons that control volume, skip track, call handing, on/off and Bluetooth activation, they are responsive and can be easily identified just by touch. The Kinetic is a great choice for an active headphone on a budget, the sound quality or connectivity strength won’t win any awards, but they are more than good enough to get you through a sweaty session, whilst remaining comfortable and looking good at the same time.
