Pemex recovers fuel in the gasoline sector

Despite opening the gas sector to the private sector five years ago, Pemex remains the leading brand in the liquid hydrocarbons market.

OxxoGas concentra la mayor cantidad de estaciones de servicio, con 574 puntos de venta; seguido de ExxonMobil con 535 gasolineras; mientras el tercer lugar le pertenece a G500, con 509 estaciones. En cuarto lugar, se ubica BP con 463 estaciones de servicio, seguida de Petro Seven con 276 estaciones.

El Top Ten de los particulares lo completan Repsol con 261 estaciones, Hidrosina con 245, Shell con 244, Corpogas con 238 y Total Chevron con 237.

Estados con mayor combustible

La entidad federativa con más permisos vigentes es el Estado México con 1,202, seguido de Jalisco con 964 y Veracruz con 800. Sin embargo, Baja California Sur es el estado que tiene más permisos vigentes en relación con su población, con un permiso por 4,486 personas; seguido de Sonora con un permiso por 5,335 personas y Sinaloa con un permiso por 5,544 personas.

Respecto a la superficie de cada estado, la Ciudad de México es la entidad federativa que tiene más permisos respecto a su superficie, con un permiso por cada 4 kilómetros cuadrados de superficie, siguiéndole el Estado de México con un permiso por 18 kilómetros cuadrados y Morelos con un permiso por cada 27 kilómetros cuadrados.

Las expectativas apuntan a que el número de estaciones de servicio distintas a la marca de Pemex se estabilizará en el presente año. Lo anterior, por el incremento de la demanda de combustibles y la estabilidad de los precios internacionales del petróleo.

Brands other than Pemex
