EDUCATION
In many countries the challenge is now to increase the levels of participation and to strengthen and extend the organisational and competitive structures. In a few countries such as USA, Canada, England, Germany and Japan this process is clearly happening. There are lessons to be learnt and ideas to be exchanged even though social and educational systems vary from country to country. English Lacrosse would like to work with the FIL Development Committee to organise a Development Conference alongside the World Championships where experience and knowledge can be shared.
The Event organisers will work with the FIL Development Committee to produce an educational and instructional programme designed particularly to create a unique opportunity for players, coaches and officials to attend courses and clinics held in conjunction with the World Championships and Festival. This would involve obtaining the services of top class coaches and experienced officials who would have a working holiday at the FIL World Championships, encouraging the development of knowledge and skills amongst the emerging Lacrosse Nations in particular.
