Cavod To Produce “The Secret Garden” and at 4 p.m. on Sundays, Feb. 24 and March 3. “The Secret Garden” is based on the children’s classic of the same title by Frances Hodgson Burnett, published in 1911. The musical version premiered on Broadway in the early 1990s. The original Broadway production earned seven Tony nominations, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. The show tells the story of a young girl, Mary Lennox, played by Mckenna Donaldson. When Mary’s parents die of cholera in India, she is sent to live with her reclusive uncle Archibald Craven, played by Alexander Weaver, and his brother Dr. Neville Craven, played by Dan Lawback, in a secluded British manor. Upon arriving, Mary finds that the her uncle is still grieving the loss of her Aunt Lily, played by Alicia

According to Monica DePaul, director of the upcoming musical “The Secret Garden” at Cavod Theatre, the show is much loved among actors because of the strength of the musical score. “The music is so powerful it is like its own character,” remarked DePaul. “The music tells the story so well.” Cordell Huyard, director of Cavod Theatre, said he had been waiting for an opportunity to do the show since he first heard the music in high school. “As soon as (DePaul) mentioned (‘The Secret Garden’), I was on board,” said Huyard. “I love the music.” “The Secret Garden” will be staged at Cavod Theatre, 685 W. Main St., New Holland, at 7 p.m. on Fridays, Feb. 22 and March 1; at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturdays, Feb. 23 and March 2;

Burton. Lily, Archibald’s late wife, had died giving birth to their bedridden son, Colin, played by Lincoln Everett. Colin, who feels guilty about his mother’s death, is hidden in a room inside the manor, which Archibald only visits when the boy is sleeping. Mary also discovers her Aunt Lily’s garden, which is locked up and overgrown with vines. She and her friends Dickon, played by Joseph Kelly, and Martha, played by Lauren Groff, are determined to revive the garden and the house as well. Because of the sobering subject matter of the drama, DePaul said that it has been challenging to stage the show without letting the presentation become too dark. “To pursue the direction we wanted to go without changing lyrics or lines, (we have been) instilling in the cast that this is See “The Secret Garden” pg 2

A Christmas postcard sent out by A Woman’s Concern shows a photo of double purple doors decorated with holiday wreaths and an “open” sign. “Our purple doors mean ‘love, compassion, and support,’” said Jill Hartman, executive director of A Woman’s Concern, which relocated from Duke Street in Lancaster city to 1102 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, in July 2018. “We painted the doors purple so our clients could find us.” These clients are the more than 600 women who benefit from A Woman’s Concern services each year. Those services include pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, and education on healthy relationships, pregnancy, parenting, and more. “We create a loving, compassionate, nonjudgmental environment See A Woman’s Concern pg 9

Songs Of Inspiration from pg 1 Servant Stage will kick off the new year with concert titled “A Million Dreams: Songs of Inspiration.” The original revue will showcase vocals, tight harmonies, and original arrangements of a wide variety of uplifting songs, ranging from Broadway and pop tunes to sacred songs and spirituals. “It’s a diverse program, but each song has an encouraging or inspirational theme,” said Servant Stage executive director Johnathan Bauer. “This is a great show to beat the winter blues. The arrangements, vocals, and harmonies are just exquisite, and the costumes are gorgeous.” The cast includes Lancaster performers Ric Zimmerman, Sarah Poague, and Kat Prickett as featured vocalists, with Kayla Klase as female vocalist - swing. Zimmerman directed the vocals, with original arrangements and musical direction from Andy Roberts. Roberts and Scott Williams take turns as accompanist for the show, which is directed by Servant Stage’s artistic director, Wally Calderon. “Audiences will love the amazing vocal blend of the trio, as well as the individuality of each singer,” said Prickett. “Finding voices that blend so tightly is not an easy task. The best part is that the three of us are actually friends; we all care very much about each other, and I think this will translate to the audience clearly and add another layer to the show.” The show will tour to venues across Lancaster County with 30
performances through March. There will also be three featured weekends of performances. The first of these weekend performances will take place at The Junction Center, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16. The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster, will host “A Million Dreams” from Friday to Sunday, March 1 to 3, and Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster, will host the show from Friday to Sunday, March 15 to 17. To reserve tickets and view the full list of performances, readers may visit www.ServantStage Company.com or call 717455-0255. All performances will feature pay-what-you-will admission as part of Servant Stage’s goal to make quality performances accessible to everyone in the community. The performances at The Junction Center include dinner with the show; there is a fee for dinner tickets. Servant Stage is a nonprofit theater that has served Lancaster County since 2011 and that brings entertainment to more than 50,000 audience members each year. “The Secret Garden” from pg 1 about searching for God and trying to figure out what is blessing them,” said DePaul, who noted that symbolism and other techniques will be employed to lighten the mood and find joy even in the face of death. Both DePaul and Huyard are excited to be working with the musical cast in bringing the show’s score to life. “They are well balanced and great musicians,” said Huyard. “I think people will be very impressed with the music coming out of this cast.” DePaul noted that one of her favorite numbers is “Lily’s Eyes.” “(The song) is this beautiful duet sung by Weaver and Lawback, who play the Craven brothers,” she said, adding that “A Bit of Earth” is another standout
musical selection. The message of the show, according to DePaul, focuses on love. “Love is life,” she noted. “Without love, we have nothing.” Huyard agreed, calling the garden Mary discovers a metaphor for bringing love back to a dark and desolate place. “(Mary) loses her family, and she comes into her uncle’s life,” he said. “He’s living in a very dark place, and she brings life back into her uncle’s home.” Tickets, which are discounted for students age 17 and under, may be purchased in advance at www.CavodAcademy.com or by calling 717-354-3355 on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets may be available at the door for a higher price.

The Home-Based Head Start program that recently opened in Strasburg is currently accepting new students for individualized kindergarten readiness services.
“(Home-Based Head Start) is perfect for my child,” commented Nedra Rohm, whose 5-year-old daughter, Leah, participates in the program that recently opened in Strasburg. Once a week, home visitor Melanie Bird spends 90 minutes with Leah and Nedra at their house, working together to help Leah make a successful transition to kindergarten next fall. “Large crowds are too much (for Leah),
and there’s less stimulation in a one-onone at home,” Nedra said. “She’s getting what she needs. It’s awesome that they provide this.” Head Start offers a free, high-quality prekindergarten program for 3- and 4year-old children from income-eligible families. It is parent-based and uses the Parents As Teachers curriculum. “Parents are the child’s first teachers,” Bird explained. “I teach the parent, who teaches the child, and when they go to

school, these are the parents who will be involved.” In addition to weekly home visits, students who enroll in the Strasburg-area Head Start program are also encouraged to attend two socialization days a month, which are held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 40 W. Main St., Strasburg. Between the individualized and group instruction, students will be assisted in developing fine motor skills, as well as literacy and cognitive skills. They will also learn about health, nutrition, and safety. Nedra noted that while large groups are difficult for Leah, she has done well in the group meetings. “There’s not a big crowd here,” Nedra remarked. “It gives her another outlet for social interactions that she needs.” Along with educational resources, Bird connects parents and students with social services that can provide things like food, home heating fuel, and weatherization, as needed. Students also have access to health and development screenings and help for challenging behaviors, and parent workshops will be held periodically. Home-Based Head Start is offered by Lancaster County Head Start, which is a program of Community Action Program of Lancaster County. The program is funded by federal grants. Bird noted that the federal government wants a Head Start to operate in every school district in the country. Because the Strasburg-area Head Start is located in a church, not a school building, enrollment is not limited to children who live in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District. Bird currently has openings for five children and will create a waiting list. Parents who would like more information or would like to enroll their children may call Bird at 717-333-1939.

Lancaster County Christian School (LCCS), 2390 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, will host an early childhood and kindergarten open house on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 9 a.m. Families with students entering preschool, prekindergarten, or kindergarten are encouraged to attend. LCCS provides an academic program to students in a nurturing Christian environment. LCCS offers two kindergarten program options. The traditional elementary kindergarten students come to campus five days a week. The objective of the fullday kindergarten program is to build a solid foundation upon which students grow academically, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. The program is designed to be academically challenging, as well as developmentally appropriate. Kindergarten classrooms at LCCS are organized and structured to support all areas of development, and a variety of materials are used to stimulate students’ curiosity, initiative, and inquiry. LCCS offers an alternative solution for parents desiring both the gift of time with their elementary children as well as the services of a Christian school. This additional and costeffective program is called The University Model. The University Model was developed to preserve and strengthen the family relationship and achieve a high degree of academic excellence. The University Model kindergarten model meets two days in the central classroom (on campus) and three days in the satellite classroom (at home). University Model students are on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Early Childhood Education program at LCCS aims to

Kinsey’s employees, saying, “Interaction between Kinsey’s employees and participants has been excellent.” According to Mueller, integrating participants into community businesses is an ultimate goal for ODC. Strine agreed, saying, “All (participants) have designated disabilities, but I like to look at what they can do.” Russell added that ODC crew members have been willing to try new tasks, following instructions compiled in a binder. “The binder was made up so that each crew could work independently, making the final projects consistent for Kinsey’s and giving (the participants) a feeling of success and independence,” said Russell. “We’re so proud to be working with such a wonderful organization.” Emerson said he likes the work, but he also enjoys receiving a paycheck. His favorite thing to spend his money on is pizza. ODC is actively seeking more employers who could benefit from the talents and abilities offered by participants. and work side by side with employees of the local business, (where they) are paid at minimum wage or above,” explained Richards, who added that businesses may utilize a crew for seasonal work or on a regular basis. Strine said that ODC participants were carefully selected for the program based on skills. Over the course of a year, Strine worked to cull a list of 40 possible participants down to eight workers and four alternates. “They were competing for positions,” noted Strine, who added that the participants work four hours per day, clocking in and out and working alongside other Kinsey’s employees. Ken Mueller, public relations and development manager for ODC, said that the skill set of participants has been a good fit Kinsey’s, which makes ofwith Gloves archery supplies and outdoor gear. Mueller added that many businesses have a variety of tasks that might also be a good fit for ODC individuals, including light assembly, collating mailings, and putting kits together. Strine
participants’ skills and work ethic. At the warehouse, part of Strine’s job is to move the boxes groups of up to four participants make as one of a variety of duties they complete, from the area where they are constructed to another location in the warehouse. The more boxes the participants complete, the more trips Strine makes. “They keep me moving,” he said. “On a busy day, I do 20,000 steps in four hours.” According to ODC executive director Gregg Richards, the program is designed to give participants a chance to work in an integrated environment. “Small group employment is a crew of program participants who go to a workplace with a program supervisor
noted that the ODC participants in the small group program have also folded and packed items such as T-shirts, archery equipment, traps, and gloves. Emerson, one of the small group participants, said that his favorite job is making boxes, especially the large boxes. “We try our best (to make as many boxes as we can),” said Emerson, who also folds T-shirts. Emerson appreciates the excitement of meeting new people, but he said he does get nervous sometimes when talking to people he does not know. That is where Deb Russell, who serves as a liaison between Kinsey’s and ODC comes in. “Our crews interact throughout the day and during lunch breaks,” said Russell, who first suggested ODC participants help with box production in early 2016 based on her sister’s 40 years of experience at ODC. “The crew from ODC arrives with a positive attitude that’s contagious throughout the building,” Russell continued. “The way they support one another to accomplish the goals we’ve laid out for them is inspiring. We should all learn a lesson from them.” Strine complimented

The Rose & Shamrock Festival will be held in downtown Lancaster city on Feb. 15, 16, and 17 and will feature a celebration of Irish music, dance, and culture. The Meduseld Meadery will also host festival components. “We outgrew the Marriott,” Pujols said. “We want to move in the direction of (even) more venues next year, similar to Lancaster Roots and Blues. We’re assuming people will get out and about. People on social media seem excited about getting to the other venues (that we have announced).” In the Marriott itself, the number of stages devoted to bands has been increased to two. Welsh Choir and the bagpiping competition sanctioned by the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association have been moved to larger spaces with more seating. “The organizers were shocked that people came to watch (the bagpipers),” Pujols said, explaining that piping competitions tend to be attended primarily by the musicians, but the interest of spectators was a welcome surprise. In addition to piping, competitions will include Irish music, Irish dancing, Irish baking, and Celtic art. Pujols said that as of Jan. 30, almost 700 dancers have entered, and more are expected to register by the deadline of Saturday, Feb. 9. The feis is governed and sanctioned by An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (the Irish Dancing Commission), the North American Feis Commission, and the Mid-Atlantic Region. “ We offer every level (of dance),” Pujols said. She noted that competitors range in age from single digits to 60s. “(Some of these dancers) are the caliber that are being scouted for Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. People don’t realize there are these super-talented kids (and young adults) right under their noses,” she added. Admission to the festival will be free of charge, thanks to

sponsorships from local businesses and individuals. Thanks to an anonymous donor, $600 will be divided among the winners of the youth division of the Irish music competition. “The money will be paid directly to music teachers so these kids can continue their lessons,” Pujols said. She praised the quality of the musicians that participated last year, relating that the festival is part of the circuit that gets instrumentalists and vocalists ready for the competition that leads up to All-Ireland. For All-Ireland the best Irish musicians from all over the world converge on a town in Ireland to compete for the highest honor in Irish music. “I’m not as familiar with the music scene, so this has been exciting for me to learn about it,” Pujols said. Professional musicians will perform throughout the festival and will include The Celtic Martins, Down By the Glenside, Charlie Zahm and Tad Marks, Fire in the Glen, Across the Pond, and Seasons. “Last year turned out to be even bigger than we thought it would be,” said Lancaster Celtic Arts Foundation president Esther Pujols, reflecting on the Rose & Shamrock Festival, which she chaired for the first time last year. “We had more than 2,500 attendees. People from 20 different states and Canada competed, but we had people come all the way from Ohio to attend the festival and see the bands.” Pujols was pleased with the community response, noting that as a result of the high turnout, improvements have been made to the layout for this year’s festival, which will be held on Friday, Feb. 15; Saturday, Feb. 16; and Sunday, Feb. 17, in downtown Lancaster city. Students then design their own parachute, incorporating a greater variety of materials. This requires the students to take their initial research elements and apply it to the final product. Third-graders at Hinkletown Mennonite School (HMS) recently investigated the variables that affect the drag and speed of the parachutes that they built. The project was part of the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) challenge that HMS intermediate students took on this year. Its purpose was to teach them not only about parachutes, but also about teamwork and critical thinking. Third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade teachers Renita Denlinger, Anette Raiser, and Matthew Moyer, respectively, collaborate on the annual STEM project, bringing the grades together to build cooperation and community. The parachute project was chosen through the professional development work of Moyer in a summer STEM workshop offered by the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 and taught by instructors trained at the Museum of Science in Boston. Moyer was intrigued by the way the project encourages students to think like engineers while incorporating both math and literacy. This STEM project highlights the focus that HMS puts on hands-on learning and connecting

sionate, nonjudgmental environment for clients, so they get all the support they need,” explained Hartman. The move nearly quadrupled the space that A Woman’s Concern could utilize, and staff and volunteers are planning to offer more services in the future by partnering and collaborating with other community organizations. Among those services are a program called Redefined, which will aid in healing for women, and a fatherhood mentoring program called The Fatherhood Journey. Matthew Neff of Family of Restoration Ministries has already run a fatherhood workshop, and Neff will soon become the first volunteer male client advocate for A Woman’s Concern. “I think that will make a huge difference in reaching the boyfriends, fiancés, and husbands,” added Laura Kline, marketing and communications director. Other services that the organization will offer will include working with a local market to provide dietitians to teach prenatal and postnatal nutrition to
clients. In addition, a volunteer will help the organization expand lactation services, and the Knights of Columbus has funded a part-time medical position for 24 months, along with purchasing materials to expand the CPR program, which is a family safety initiative A Woman’s Concern provides. Offering services in both Spanish and English has been an important goal for the organization. One paid and one volunteer staff member are bilingual, and Kline has reworked the website, www.pregnancy lancaster.com, to include basic information in Spanish as well as English. Of course, more space means more opportunity to offer clients medical services as well. A room to conduct ultrasounds and space for client advocates, along with meeting and business space and offices, were all made possible by the larger, newfacility. According to Hartman, the nonprofit has been available to local women facing unplanned pregnancies since 1972, when it opened as Birthright. As A Woman’s Concern outgrew its
Duke Street location, an East Chestnut Street facility was opened, but in July 2017, Harvest Bible Chapel offered its administrative offices, including two buildings on Millersville Pike to the organization. A successful 2018 capital campaign provided funds to renovate the main building. A grant from the High Foundation will help remodel the carriage house, called Hope House, which is located behind the building, for meetings and classes. Hope House also offers large items that clients may need, such as cribs and strollers. A boutique for smaller items is found in the front foyer of the main building. Hartman explained that as a “hand-up” organization, A Woman’s Concern allows clients to work with client advocates and receive points, which they can redeem for items they need for their babies. “Many of the items come from (area) church (members) who hold baby showers (for us),” explained Hartman. “We have a wish list on our website.” The baby items are one more

CV’s Boys Top Cocalico For Section Swim Title by Leah Sintic
The race for the L-L Section Two season title couldn’t have been much closer for the boys teams. Coming down to the final regular season meet, CV outswam Cocalico, 85-83, last Thursday to take both the meet and the title. “I’m very proud of the boys and so excited for them,” celebrated head coach Barb Raasch. “They did the work, got really excited, and never gave up.” The final victory gave the Bucks a perfect 6-0 league sweep for the regular season, and propelled them to the top of Section Two allowing them to win the title outright, and avoid having an identical record with Cocalico. With such a close scoring differential, every single event and swimmer was consequential to the outcome, with all ten CV boys adding to the score tally in some way. Auden Block had a huge night, with first places in both the backstroke (59.08) and the butterfly (56.8) a personal best time, and a leg in the winning relay for the Bucks. Robbie Krasinski was just a tenth of a second behind Block in the backstroke, giving CV much needed second place points in the event. Nick Lynam won his 100 free with a time of 47.74, as well as the 200
The Conestoga Valley swim team celebrates after sweeping Cocalico (boys - 85-83; girls 107-52) last Thursday at the Ephrata Rec Center. Leaman, Josh Proch, Felipe Garate, and Block, teamed up for that 400 free, and their collective 3:37.17 sealed the win in the event, the meet, and ultimately the Section Two title. The CV girls also ended the regular season with a triumph, making their way past Cocalico with a commanding 107-52 final score to give them an evenly split league record of 3-3. their impressive point total. Touching first in two events, Karli Raasch powered through the 50 free in 25.25, and the butterfly in 1:00.68. Lauren Nedrow took home the 100 free in 58.8, as well as the backstroke in 1:09.17. Three additional wins were supplied by Sarah Marston in the 200 free (2:07.1), Aubrey Lester in the 500 free (6:17.75), and Jordan Holmes in the 200 IM (2:30.26). BOYS’ BASKETBALL Despite hard work and a team effort, Buckskin basketball was dealt two losses last week. Nine CV players chipped in points in last Wednesday’s 69-32 loss to Warwick, but the contributions were just not enough to overcome the Warrior onslaught. Jordan Ransing tallied the most points for the Buckskin cause, posting seven, supported by five from Sawyer
Shertzer, and four apiece supplied by Ethan Bredeman and Parker Graff. The previous Friday, Conestoga hosted Elizabethtown, and fell to the Bears by a difference of 75-51. Though not enough to close the gap, the Buckskins long-range efforts were on display in the contest, accumulating almost half of their 51 points from beyond the arc, netting eight treys.
Ransing and Bredeman knocked in two apiece while J’Vhante Perkins, Nathan Scheid, Nolan Rishell, and Luke Rumbaugh accrued the remaining four. Ransing was once again the Bucks’ high scorer, totaling nine. Will Stone netted eight, Perkins supplied seven, and Bredeman and Wertz put added six each. WRESTLING Buckskin wrestling celebrated more milestones last week with Josh MacNamara’s performance at 160 earning him the top spot in his weight class at the L-L League Wrestling Championship, while Austin Rider worked his way through the 138-pound bracket to reach the podium as a second-place runner-up. After securing the regular season Section One title, the CV grapplers headed to the two-day tournament where they placed fourth in the team portion, while pulling in 12 individual place winners-a record for the Buckskin wrestling program. “We had a great first day and competed well,” praised head coach Trent Turner after his squad entered day two leading the race in the team standings. Unfortunately, the second day of the tournament did not result in the finish the matmen were looking for-ultimately falling behind Manheim Central, Northern Lebanon, and Penn Manor for a team fourth. “Too many close matches where we lost or came up short kept us from holding on to the lead that we

the coming week. BOWLING A team win might be eluding the Buckskin bowlers this season, but they are focusing on valuable aspects of athletics such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-improvement. “I am extremely proud of the team and their attitude and work ethic,” praised head coach Doug Davidson. “There has been consistent improvement throughout the team.” As the regular season winds down, the bowlers look next to L-L singles championships held in mid-February. Sophomore Robbie Jack has led the team, rolling the highest numbers for the Bucks all season, and hopes to continue that pattern in post-season play. Jack rolled a 651 series (268-182201) in last Wednesday’s loss to Hempfield. “Robbie has been a model of consistency for the team,” noted Davidson, encouraging all his bowlers to dig deep for their individual best. Leadership stemming from the maturity of senior players is a quality that can be recognized in the contributions of Abbey Bowman, Nick Zimmerman, and Tana McFeat.
“They have embraced the coaching and improved 1000 times from November,” emphasized Davidson. McFeat rolled a game-high 168 against both Manheim Township and Warwick during late January matches, demonstrating her improvement. Bowman and Zimmerman each stepped up their game in the recent Township match with Bowman hitting her stride in a 171 game and Zimmerman rolling a 144. GIRLS’ BASKETBALL After dropping a 52-36 loss at Elizabethtown, the Lady Bucks bounced back with a close 42-40 home court win over Warwick for their third league victory last Wednesday. Paced by point guard Kenzie Reed’s 15 points, CV edged ahead of Warwick in the opening half, holding a six-point lead, 19-13 at the break. A dead locked third quarter, in which each team added nine points to their total, allowed the Bucks to hold that same lead heading into the final eight minutes. Though the Warriors came on strong, registering their best quarter and outscoring CV 18-14, the Lady Bucks held on for the two-point victory.
Elizabethtown, had another strong the win over the Warriors, while regular season schedule with two offensive showing, knocking in three Alexis Goldsborough and Sydney more league opportunities, hosting field goals and three free throws to Bouder each supplied four points in Ephrata and heading to Lebanon.

held after day one,” explained Turner. “The sport of wrestling can deal you some pretty tough lessons, but if we’re going to enjoy the success of the first day, then we can’t make excuses for why we came up short on the second day.” Though collectively not where they had hoped to end up, the team continued to make history registering a dozen individual place winners in top eight rankings. MacNamara’s journey to conquer the 160-bracket included three falls, and two decisions to earn the title. First, MacNamara took down Garden Spot’s Ethan Eberly with a pin at 1:20, and his second opponent, Evan Heilman of Annville Cleona, suffered the same fate at 3:12. Next up, MacNamara passed Dylan Bard of Hempfield in a 6-3 decision, before picking up his third fall of the tournament pinning Alex May of Cocalico. The first-place match pitted MacNamara against Donegal’s Garrett Blake, in which he trumped Blake by a 6-0 decision to be named the champion. CV’s 138-pound Austin Rider had the second most successful individual performance for the Bucks, making it all the way the championship bout before succumbing to Kayde Althouse of Ephrata. After advancing on a bye, Rider overcame Trevor Hale of Cocalico with a technical fall, followed by a 13-4 major decision over Dylan Coleman of Penn Manor, and finally earning his way past Hayden Funck of Annville Cleona by a 4-3 decision. Ten additional Buckskin matmen worked their way into top eight standings in their respective weight classes; Keaton Fisher (113), Cameron Kistler (126), David Dariychuk (145), and Taylor Sheaffer (152) all posted sixth-place finishes; Trenton Ruble (106), Andrew Dariychuk (132), Eddie Lopez (195), and Yodhe Desta (285) each claimed seventh place honors; and Rafael Rodriguez (120) and Isiah Gantt (182) each finished in eighth. The following Wednesday, the teams began their hunt for District III post season success with a match against Cumberland Valley held at Dallastown, where the CV grapplers found themselves on the wrong end of a 42-17 final score and will seek to rectify their post-season record in
