Feel Good Yoga will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays, Jan. 9 to March 9, in Carpenter Chapel at Masonic Village, 1244 Bainbridge Road, Elizabethtown.
Classes will run for one hour on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 9 a.m. The program is designed for people age 14 and up of all fitness levels. Attendees should bring a yoga mat and yoga block.
Let’s Line Dance will take place on Tuesdays, Jan. 10 to March 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at Donegal Intermediate School, 1177 River Road, Marietta. Lessons are open to individuals age 14 and
older and are designed for people of any skill level, including beginners.
Tai Chi classes for adults age 18 and older will be offered on Tuesdays, Jan. 10 to March 14, at the Masonic Village Carpenter Chapel. Beginners will meet from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. An advanced class will run from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Classes will feature a simple 10-step Taiji form to introduce students to the basic postures appearing in many tai chi forms. Attention will be given to relaxation, basic alignment, and how to move safely.
Flow Yoga will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 11 to March 8, in the cafeteria at Donegal Intermediate School for people age 14 and older. The program is designed for people of all fitness levels and abilities.
GEARS Swim Lessons will provide opportunities for achievement and allow smooth transition between levels of instruction. Classes will be held on Saturdays, Jan. 7 to Feb. 25, at the Patton Pool at Masonic Village. A variety of classes for people of different ages and abilities will be offered.

Etown Grace Posts Holiday Service
Etown Grace Church will host a Christmas Eve candle-lighting service on Saturday, Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. at 305 Anchor Road, Elizabethtown. The event is open to the public.
The service will include the singing of traditional Christmas hymns and more current Christmas songs, along with special music. An actor portraying a temple shepherd will share his experiences. The service will end with the lighting of individual candles.

Messick’s To Present Christmas Light Show
Messick’s Christmas Light Show is celebrating its 10th year open to the public to raise money for local charities at Messick’s new store at 1475 Strickler Road, Mount Joy. The light show will run every evening from 6 to 9:30 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 28.
The show features thousands of Christmas lights and video displays choreographed to music and broadcast over FM radio so visitors can enjoy the entire show from the comfort of their cars. Volunteers from Messick’s will collect donations to benefit local
charities again this year. One hundred percent of the proceeds collected will be split between Mennonite Disaster Service, Elizabethtown Community Housing and Outreach Services (ECHOS), Paxton Ministries and Water Street Rescue Mission.
Last year, Messick’s collected $48,818 in donations during the event, bringing the nine-year total to more than $366,000.

Rathsam Earns Athletic Honors
Julia Rathsam of Elizabethtown just finished her senior year at Penn State Berks. She assisted Penn State Berks to the conference playoffs for three seasons, missing the opportunity to compete in playoffs one season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School,
Rathsam ended her volleyball career at Penn State Berks as the top assist leader with 2,958, which is 945 more than the second-place finisher. She also holds the top five spots for assists in a match. Rathsam was also second in service aces, f ourth in digs, and fifth in block assists.
