St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus, 329 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, will host a fish fry in the school cafeteria on Fridays, March 29 and April 12. Dinner will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu will feature fried or baked fish, french fries or macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw or applesauce. Beverages and desserts will also be available. Proceeds will benefit Knights of Columbus charities.
DISCUSSION FORUM
A Town Hall to Stop Hate will take place on Thursday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mohler Center, 25 Hope Drive, Hershey. Ball Scouts Plan Spaghetti Dinner Heart Raises $270,000 Boy Scout Troop 65 Hershey will hold its annual spaghetti dinner on Saturday, March 23, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 212 Cocoa Ave., Hershey. The church is located at the corner of Cocoa and Granada avenues. The menu will include spaghetti with homemade meatballs, as well as Grandpa D’Amico’s homemade sauce; his grandson is a former Scout. Also included will be salad, rolls, and beverages. Gluten-free meatballs and spaghetti will also be available. Desserts will be offered by donation. Dine-in and takeout options will be available. Separate prices have been set for adults and for children ages 5 to 12. Children under age 5 may eat for free.
Several hundred business, health care and community leaders from across the Harrisburg area came together at the annual Capital Region Heart Ball on Feb. 23 at the Hershey Lodge. The event raised more than $270,000 for the American Heart Association, which focuses on heart and brain health. The Hershey Lions Club received $3,150 from 68 contributors for its annual Sight and Service Campaign. The recent campaign was launched in November and raised funds to help Derry Township residents in the form of service projects and donations. Since 2009, the club has collected $23,842 through the campaign. Through the support of its donors and other fundraising activities, the club has been able to address needs in the community, including eye exams and glasses for residents in need, local student scholarships, sponsorship of youth sports teams, medical equipment assistance,

AACA Museum To Hold Trip The AACA Museum is sponsoring a trip to the New York International Auto Show on Saturday, April 27. DeMolay Chapter Kicks Off Celebration The Elizabethtown Chapter, Order of DeMolay, is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Order of DeMolay. The monthlong celebration, which will continue through Sunday, March 31, began when Master Councilor Holden Green and members of the chapter attended the the Mount Joy Township supervisors’ Feb. 18 meeting, and the supervisors approved a
proclamation recognizing March as DeMolay Month. At the Feb. 21 meeting of the Elizabethtown Borough Council, Mayor Chuck Mummert read a similar proclamation, and he and the council members congratulated the DeMolay members for their community work. State and federal government officials have also issued proclamations recognizing Elizabethtown Chapter’s observance of
March as DeMolay Month. During DeMolay Month, Elizabethtown Chapter will present a Sponsoring Body Recognition Program, a Senior DeMolay program; visit DeMolay chapters in Carlisle, Greensburg, Harrisburg, Reading and York; and hold a Prospect Party at the Carlisle Sports Emporium on Saturday, March 23, for young men interested in joining DeMolay. On March 17, members and advisers were scheduled to attend a church service at the Sell Chapel at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown in observance of the DeMolay International Devotional Day. The Order of DeMolay is a fraternal organization initially started in Kansas City, Mo., in 1919 by Frank S. Land, for young men ages 12 to 21. Through its varied activities, the Order of DeMolay teaches the principles of good citizenship, fraternalism, and leadership.
