Attention Arthritis Sufferers...
Exclusive Arthritis Workshop Reveals The 3 Keys to Feel Younger and Feel Stronger Naturally Without Aches, Pains and Stiffness Do you feel like your life is on hold because of everyday aches and pains? Do you have trouble walking, doing stairs or standing for long periods? Do you feel like you need to take a rest when you’re trying to keep up with your family (kids and grandkids)…or even keep up with your dog? Have you been told that your stiff, swollen, achy joints are “bone-on-bone” and there’s nothing you can do about it? Are you looking to stay active? Feel normal again? Feel younger and stronger naturally without medications, injections or surgery? If you are looking to feel younger and feel stronger naturally, then going to the Arthritis Workshop may be one of the best decisions you make. Arthritis can cause you to feel pain, stiffness, and achy…making it difficult to move… even with everyday activities. Arthritis can stop you from feeling normal. • It can force you to take pain medications, Ibuprofen, or even get cortisone injections (which are known to cause other health problems). • Everyday activities like walking, driving, doing stairs, housework or even sleeping can feel difficult to impossible to perform. (Especially in the morning when you first get out of bed). • You can feel irritated, upset or uncomfortable trying to keep up with your family or friends. • You might feel like you’re neglecting your yard, house or garden… • Arthritis can distract you from focusing on what you’re doing (forgetting why you went to the store…or what you were going to do). • And it can take away from your ability to live a normal life…feeling like you have to depend on other people…or having them wait on you while you “just sit for a minute.” Less movement and less living can lead to depression, stress and a life of sitting. Not good. Here at Madden Physical Therapy, we’ve helped thousands of arthritis sufferers from right here in Harrisburg…and the rest of Central PA…who have suffered needlessly with arthritis…it’s our specialty. Most were experiencing pain, aching or stiffness in their back, neck, hips, knees and shoulders…and were looking for natural treatments… By request to help arthritis sufferers, I’m hosting an Arthritis Workshop right here at Madden Physical Therapy in Lower Paxton on Wednesday, October 21st at 7:00 p.m. If you’re confused about what to do and looking for answers, here’s some of what you’ll learn: • The Single Biggest #1 Mistake arthritis sufferers make which actually stops them from healing… • The 2 Most Common Types of Arthritis… • A Sure-Fire Way to Pick the Right Treatment for the Cause of Your Pain (and save you a ton of time and money) • Why your joints feel stiff in the morning…and what you can do about it. • What successful treatment and permanent relief looks like without the side effects of medications, injections or surgery. How Do I Claim My Seat for the Arthritis Workshop? Call 717-210-9945 to Register for the Arthritis Workshop and Claim Your Seat. When you register, we will mail you The Arthritis Worksheet which you will bring with you to the event. Because of limited space, we only have 20 seats available for the event…and this announcement will be going out to over 9,000 people who’ve been treated at Madden PT PLUS sent to an audience of 41,000 people on Facebook. So if you would like to attend, be sure to register now…Call 717-210-9945. How Much Is It to Attend the Arthritis Workshop? The event is FREE. No cost to you… ***PLUS as a Special Bonus, all attendees of the Arthritis Workshop will receive a Special Report: “The 7 Secrets to Permanent Relief for Arthritis.” Looking forward to seeing you there, Chad Madden, Physical Therapist – Paid Advertisement –

Care-A-Van Volunteers Needed The Middletown Care-A-Van has an immediate need of volunteer drivers to transport senior citizens and qualified disabled residents within the Middletown Area School District to and from doctor appointments and the grocery store. The Care-A-Van is an all-volunteer service. Volunteers must have a current driver’s license and a good driving record. They may choose the weekdays they would like to help for either half days or full days between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The van is disinfected after each use, and hand sanitizer is provided to riders. A face mask is required for entry into the van. Volunteers currently transport one passenger at a time with enough time between riders to disinfect the van. The drivers socially distance themselves from the riders, who are in the back seat. Drivers also take their own temperature and those of the riders using the provided touchless infrared thermometer. Chatter from pg 2 Random Thought Why do my dogs always race for the door when the doorbell rings? It’s hardly ever for them. Recipe of the Week Apple Crumble Ingredients: Filling: 4 large Golden Delicious apples (about 3 pounds) 1/4 cup sugar 1 lemon, juiced 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Topping: 1 cup walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 1/4 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Pinch fine salt 8 tablespoons (1 stick) cold butter, cut into small pieces Vanilla ice cream for serving, optional Directions: 1. Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. Peel, core, and slice apples into 1/4inch slices. Place apples in a large mixing bowl and toss with sugar, lemon juice, flour, and cinnamon. Pour into a lightly greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish, and spread out into an even layer. Set aside. 3. In another large bowl, mix together the nuts, flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the topping. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, gently work in the cold butter until pea-sized lumps are formed. 4. Top apples evenly with mixture and bake until apples are bubbly and topping is golden brown, about 45 minutes, rotating once halfway through cooking. 5. Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream. Joke of the Week A family had twin boys whose only resemblance to each other was their
looks. If one felt it was too hot, the other thought it was too cold. If one said the TV was too loud, the other claimed the volume needed to be turned up. Opposite in every way, one was an eternal optimist, the other a doom and gloom pessimist. Just to see what would happen, on the twins’ birthday their father loaded the pessimist’s room with every imaginable toy and game. The optimist’s room he loaded with horse manure. That night the father passed by the pessimist’s room and found him sitting amid his new gifts crying bitterly. “Why are you crying?” the father asked. “Because my friends will be jealous, I’ll have to read all these instructions before I can do anything with this stuff, I’ll constantly need batteries, and my toys will eventually get broken,” answered the pessimist twin. Passing the optimist twin’s room, the father found him dancing for joy in the pile of manure. “What are you so happy about?” he asked. To which his optimist twin replied, “There’s got to be a pony in here somewhere!” Tip of the Week Grapefruit and coarse sea salt make a great cleaner. With the help of the citric acid from the grapefruit and the scrubbing action of the salt, you can kill stains in your sinks and showers instantly. Just cut a grapefruit in half, pour some coarse sea salt onto a plate, dip the grapefruit in the salt, and scrub away!

Fact of the Week Contrary to popular belief, squirrels that have spent the entire autumn collecting acorns and other foods do not hibernate for the winter. Rather, they spend the majority of their time in nests they built to shelter them from harsh weather. When squirrels do come out in winter, they are usually tunneling under the snow to find the food they buried during the fall.

Giant Foods Launches “For Today’s Table”
Students Learn About Asian Cultures, History Hershey Christian Academy middle school students have been learning about other countries in their World Tour class. The first stop on the itinerary was Asia, specifically Korea, Japan, and Thailand. Topics have included Japanese plastic food replicas, known as sampuru; how one becomes an English teacher in Asia; and Operation Kiddy Car, in which U.S. servicemen rescued thousands of orphaned children during the Korean War. Cooking projects such as Korean sushi and Japanese rolled omelets and rice balls have also been included. Melinda Marquart, educational programs coordinator with the JICC of the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C., was a recent
virtual guest. She presented a lesson on greetings, festivals, and respect in Japanese culture. Hershey Christian Academy is in its second year of instruction for 4-year-old kindergartners through 10th-grade students at 99 Valley Road, Hummelstown. For more information, including mid-year enrollment, readers may contact the school office at 717-312-7595 or email info@ hersheychristianacademy.org.

Varying by store, these remodels include the addition of more Beer & Wine Eateries, new amenities, refreshed departments and updated modernized décor both inside and outside the stores. In addition, the company will reveal plans for additional stores across Pennsylvania later this year, expanding its presence in key markets while also investing in its e-commerce business. As part of the brand relaunch, the company will introduce new work wear for store team members as well as name badges inspired by the For Today’s Table branding.
