The senior exhibition, “Sincerely Yours, the Resilient, the Perseverant, the Tenacious, the Tired, & the Determined,” is on display at PCA&D’s Main Gallery at 204 N. Prince St., Lancaster, and features one work of art by each senior in a physical exhibition. As part of a gallery internship, this exhibit was co-curated by five members of the Class of 2021: Nicole Denzler, Mandi Hall, Alexis Lebesco, Regina Marie Mehaffey, and Rachel Stork. Visitation can be arranged through a time-ticketed system at www.PCAD.edu. The concept of a digital thesis exhibition premiered last year to spotlight the Class of 2020. The digital platform was launched as a new annual tradition and innovative approach to providing a greater online presence and exposure for the graduating class. It will also serve as an ongoing archive of alumni work. This year, the digital
exhibition highlights the thesis work of 58 seniors from the animation and game art, fine art, graphic design, illustration, and photography and video departments. The work is available to view online at https://pcad.edu/gallery_exhibit /sincerely-yours. The student co-curator model, introduced with the Class of 2020, expanded this year into a class in which the co-curators explored the history and theory of exhibitions. It aims to display the individuality of its members within a coherent exhibition that reflects these unusual times. The exhibition is accompanied by a 137-page catalog designed by Kelly Phan, Class of 2022. Rugby Team Competes Senior Food Voucher In Tournament Program Posted
PA Classics’ Knightmare Rugby boys’ team competed in the Bishop Shanahan High School 10s tournament in Downingtown on April 18 against Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia and Montgomery/Bucks Rugby Club. The Knightmares won 27-0 against Roman Catholic and 5-0 against Montgomery/Bucks, dropping one
match 12-21 to Bishop Shanahan. Scoring for the Knightmares were Donegal senior Taj Younger, Penn Manor junior Leif Heckaman, Hempfield seniors Luke Kreider and Nate Berger, and Hempfield juniors Jackson Pidcock and Jack Mulroney. The Knightmares will continue to compete in weekend tournaments through Sunday, May 16. Knightmares Rugby is open to all high school students, currently drawing players from Donegal, Eastern York, Hempfield, Penn Manor, and Pequea Valley school districts. Lancaster County Office of Aging announced dates for voucher distribution in the 2021 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Voucher Program. Each eligible participant will receive vouchers to be used at approved farmers markets to purchase Pennsylvania-grown fruits and vegetables beginning on Tuesday, June 1. To be eligible, seniors must be age 60 by Friday, Dec. 31, live in Lancaster County, and have a household income less than $23,828 for one person or less than $32,227 for two people. Seniors living in personal care or nursing homes are not eligible. Distribution of vouchers will take place in several locations throughout the county. Distribution will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on all dates listed. All sites will be drive-through, unless otherwise noted. Due to COVID-19
and safety requirements, senior centers will not distribute the vouchers at any other time this year. Eligible seniors may pick up vouchers on Wednesday, May 19, at Pavilion 3, Long’s Park, 1401 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster; Thursday, May 20, at Next Gen Senior Center, 184 S.
