COMEDY MUSIC THEATRE LOCAL THEATRE FAMILY DANCE ENTERTAINMENT FILM
3
Dear Theatregoers, The Epstein Theatre is proud to announce its new season of entertainment for September 2017 – March 2018. We have a wide variety of wonderful shows for the whole family to enjoy! We start the season as we mean to go on with the World Stars of Magic getting things off with a bang, on 15th & 16th September; a once in a lifetime chance to see the biggest names in magic all performing together for two shows only! Comedy begins with the award-wining Irish Hip-Hop duo Abandoman on 27th September, Liverpool legend Stan Boardman returning on 29th September and Jason Byrne on 18th November. The razzle dazzle continues on Thursday 5th October as Jerry Sadowitz shows off some of the best close up magic skills around - along with some of the edgiest stand-up comedy in town. However, if you’re in the mood for dancing then we have plenty of brilliant music acts to get you tapping along. 10CC’s very own Graham Gouldman is here on 3rd October, with Heart Full of Songs, the ideal night out for or lovers of perfectly-crafted music performed by the composer. Following hot on his heels, Darkside return after a critically acclaimed 2016 gig to bring the songs of the legendary Pink Floyd to life; along with a light show that will make you swear you’re at an authentic Floyd concert. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg with the likes of The Pies, Judie Tzuke and Hazel O’Connor crammed into the space of just a few months!
There’s also a brilliant line up to keep our little Epsteinees entertained with the likes of Brainiac Live! bringing a little bit of mayhem (and a lot of education) on 26th October followed straight up by Regal Entertainment’s critically acclaimed The Wizard Of Oz from 27th – 29th October. The Night Pirates, Crafty’s Creepy Castle and The Jungle Book all conclude a stellar few months of fun for the little ones. And as if this wasn’t enough, we have dozens of other shows lined up from all imaginable genres. Whether it’s the Now Festival in February, encouraging young people to talk about mental health through art, or the red hot Dreamboys in November, we guarantee that we will have something to pique your interest. And what Winter season would be complete without the Epstein’s now legendary panto; one of Liverpool’s most beloved. This year it will be the timeless tale Peter Pan from 8th December 2017 – 1st January 2018. Join Another Level’s Dane Bowers and Radio City’s Claire Simmo as they whisk you off on an incredible journey full of hilarious jokes and brilliant dance routines. The team and I are confident we will be welcoming you back once more to this delightful theatre in the heart of Liverpool. We thank you for the ongoing support in regards to our restoration levy which has allowed us to keep improving the theatre to make your visit here all the more enjoyable. Best wishes, Rebekah Pichilingi & The Epstein Team

10CC’S GRAHAM GOULDMAN & HEART FULL OF SONGS Tue 3 Oct Starts: 8:00pm Tickets: £27 Graham Gouldman formed what became Heart Full of Songs six years ago, purely for the pleasure of playing his songs in their simplest form, acoustically. Then backed by fellow 10CC band members and opening the show at 10CC concerts, Graham performed a selection of the hits he’d written for other artists. The format became so popular that it adopted a name and undertook its first stand-alone concert tour in April-May 2013, touring again the following year. For lovers of perfectly-crafted music performed by the composer, a Heart Full of Songs concert is truly an exquisite experience.

DARKSIDE PERFORMING THE PINK FLOYD SHOW Sat 7 Oct Starts: 8:00pm Tickets: £18 After clocking up over 120 performances, at theatres stretching from Brighton to Glasgow, Darkside return to The Epstein Theatre with the Any Colour You Like Tour. Seven musicians will deliver with empathy and passion a brand new show with tracks from the massive backcatalogue of Pink Floyd. From the early magical days of Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett, through to later iconic albums renowned for their complex structures such as Dark Side of The Moon. As would be expected the show incorporates a spectacular and dramatic state of the art laser light show.
Enjoy gutsy and imaginative arrangements of Cohen’s most powerful works driven by D’Arrietta’s raw vocals. This is Cohen’s music as you’ve never heard it before.
