Door het gebruik van een vacuumlift wordt de fysieke belasting verminderd. Het blijft echter de vraag of elk risico op overbelasting verdwijnt. Door middel van de NIOSH methode, de OWAS en RULA methode wordt hierop een antwoord gegeven.

No day occurs without its good behavior at work new method. But whom to believe ? How to compare ?

And where ?

Yes, it is proven : each worker with a sedentary repetitive activity should stop 5 minutes every hour. No grouping of these 5 minutes to organise a longer break every two or three hours, this does not work.Therefore, it is necessary to work 55 minutes per hour, then to take a break or have another activity. For example, I am typing on my keyboard since 8 in the morning : at 8.55, I rise and make photocopies or I go to get the mail. Then I work on my computer again during 55 minutes and there I take a nibbling break, because smoking kills and kills the others around me, but obviously not any kind of nibbling, because there, the obesity tax is watching me, therefore I nibble frugally : radish, fruits, cereals without sugar, a yoghourt, etc. and I start working again during 55 minutes. And now the so called lunch time is coming.

Happily, I will spend less than one hour at the Self-service or the canteen, because beware, bad quality of life is still watching for me. Saved by the gong, here comes again the time to go back working on my keyboard. And the cycle starts again.

Therefore, I am a worker in good health, protect myself against RSI (Repetitive Strain Injuries), I have no stress, except to regulate my life at work in 55 minutes long sections.What should I do ? To install un metronome on my already packed desk, to program my PC so that it stops every 55 minutes ? Or to choose to be a work traumatized worker ? These solutions seem a little excessive indeed, but of course you will have understood that what make life unbearable for us in the office or in the workshop, driving a truck or eyes rivetted on a scanner or IRM screens, are all the repetitive tasks, but what should we do ?

It is sure : whether you are end-user, prescriber, industrialist or distributor : come and visit ERGONOMA BRUSSELS (4th edition), and it will help you to think about and find solutions to improve ergonomical conditions on professional sites.Your interlocutors : experts, researchers and industrialists who every day assist companies and institutions, and try to set up a better quality of life at work with their actors. But also a better way of apprehending work, by installing user-friendly processes, by integrating components that differentiate us, because we are far from equal on a physical level as well as psychically. And finally isn’t working under good conditions a step to a better quality of work ? Who said it could be a step to more work ? …yes, yes, I heard it…

Plus souvent… moins longtemps ?

Oui c’est prouvé : chaque travailleur qui a une activité répétitive sédentaire devrait s’arrêter 5 minutes par heure. Pas de cumul des 5 minutes pour disposer d’une pause plus longue c’est mauvais. Il faut donc travailler 55 minutes par heure et faire une pause ou avoir une autre activité. Exemple je suis sur mon clavier depuis 8 heures du matin : à 8h 55 je me lève et je vais faire des photocopies ou je vais chercher le courrier. Si je dispose d’un logiciel de gym je le mets en marche et fais quelques exercices devant mon ordi. Je retravaille alors 55 minutes sur mon clavier et là je prends la pause grignotage, car fumer me tue et tue les autres, évidemment pas n’importe quel grignotage, car là, c’est la taxe obésité qui me guette, alors je grignote frugal : radis, fruits, céréales sans sucre, yaourt… et je retravaille 55 minutes. Et là arrive, l’heure dite de « table ». Heureusement, je resterai au self ou à la cantine moins d’une heure, car attention, là encore l’obésité, le cholestérol, les sucres ajoutés me guettent etc.

Sauvée par le gong, c’est l’heure de la reprise du travail sur mon clavier. Et le cycle du changement d’activité reprend.

Je suis donc un travailleur en bonne santé, je me protège des TMS (Troubles Musculo-Squelettiques), je n’ai pas de stress, si ce n’est celui de régler ma vie au travail en tranches de 55 minutes. Que dois-je faire ? Installer un métronome sur mon bureau déjà encombré, régler l’ordi pour qu’il s’arrête toutes les 55 minutes ? Ou faire le choix d’être un travailleur traumatisé par le travail ? Oui ce sont peut-être des solutions un peu excessives, mais vous l’aurez compris ce qui nous rend la vie impossible au bureau et à l’atelier, au volant du camion ou les yeux rivés sur les écrans, de scanner ou d’IRM, ce sont toutes ces tâches répétitives, indispensables, mais comment faire ?

Le plus sûr, que vous soyez utilisateur final, prescripteur, industriel ou distributeur : c’est de venir au salon Européen ERGONOMA BRUXELLES (4e édition), Cette visite vous aidera dans votre réflexion, pour trouver les compléments indispensables à l’application de solutions d’amélioration des conditions ergonomiques du poste de travail. 2006 : European Year of Workers mobility “ Workers’ Mobility : a right, an option, an opportunity ? ” 2006 Année européenne de la mobilité des travailleurs here are two aspects to workers mobility : job mobility relates to the frequency that employees change jobs ; geographical mobility refers to the movement of workers from one region to another in the same country or movement between countries.

The Year will provide a unique occasion for people to exchanges of ideas and experiences of mobility. Hundreds of events will be organised at local, regional, national, cross-border and European level. On 29 and 30 September, job fairs and meetings will be organised in over 70 European cities By designating 2006 as the European Year of Workers Mobility, the EU aims to achieve three concrete objectives : - To raise awareness of : • the rights of workers to free movement between the Member States ; • the existing possibilities for geographical and job mobility and of the services which exist to support them ; • the barriers faced by potentially mobile workers, both within and between Member States and the need for action by support services ; • To promote the exchange of good practice between the stakeholders concerned, in particular public authorities and institutions, the social partners and the private sector ; - To promote deeper study of the scale and nature of geographical and occupational mobility within the EU.

« La mobilité des travailleurs : un droit, un choix, une opportunité ? » La mobilité des travailleurs comporte deux facettes : la mobilité professionnelle, qui concerne le changement d’emploi, et la mobilité géographique, qui renvoie aux mouvements des travailleurs d’une région à une autre au sein d'un même pays, ou d’un pays à un autre. Un des événements majeurs de 2006 organisés sous l’égide de l’Année sera la première Bourse européenne de l’emploi.

Les 29 et 30 septembre, plusieurs bourses de l’emploi se dérouleront simultanément dans plus de 50 villes européennes.

Les objectifs de l’Année européenne pour la mobilité des travailleurs sont triples : • sensibiliser tous les acteurs aux droits des travailleurs dans le domaine de la libre circulation ainsi qu’aux possibilités existant dans ce domaine et aux instruments mis en place pour promouvoir la libre circulation (par exemple les Services européens de l’emploi - EURES) ; • renforcer l’échange de bonnes pratiques en matière de mobilité ; • approfondir les connaissances (études et enquêtes) relatives aux flux de mobilité européens et aux raisons qui poussent les travailleurs à envisager une période de mobilité dans un autre État membre.

Every citizen of the EU has the right to work and live in another Member State without being discriminated against on grounds of nationality.

Free movement of workers - what does it mean ?

Free movement of persons is one of the fundamental freedoms guaranteed by Community law. It is perhaps the most important right under Community law for individuals, and an essential element of European citizenship.

For workers, this freedom has existed since the foundation of the European Community in 1957. It is laid down in article 39 of the EC Treaty and it entails : • the right to look for a job in another Member State, • the right to work in another Member State, • the right to reside there for that purpose, • the right to remain there, • the right to equal treatment in respect of access to employment, working conditions and all other advantages which could help to facilitate the worker's integration in the host Member State.

The concept and implications of this freedom have been interpreted and developed by the case-law of the European Court of Justice, including the concept of worker itself. You can find detailed information on the case-law in the Communication from the Commission: “ Free movement of workers - achieving the full benefits and potential ” (COM(2002)694).

Community rules on free movement of workers also apply to Member States of the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).

The right to free movement of workers is complemented by a system for the co-ordination of social security schemes and by a system to ensure the mutual recognition of diplomas

Qu'est-ce que la libre circulation des travailleurs ?

La libre circulation des personnes est l’une des libertés fondamentales garanties par le droit communautaire. Il s'agit sans doute du droit le plus important octroyé aux personnes par la législation communautaire et c'est un élément essentiel de la citoyenneté européenne.

Les travailleurs jouissent de cette liberté depuis la fondation de la Communauté européenne en 1957. La libre circulation est inscrite à l'article 39 du traité CE et implique : • le droit de chercher un emploi dans un autre État membre, • le droit de travailler dans un autre État membre, • le droit d'y résider à cette fin, • le droit d'y rester, • le droit à l'égalité de traitement en ce qui concerne l'accès à l'emploi, les conditions de travail et tous les autres avantages pouvant contribuer à faciliter l'intégration du travailleur dans l'État membre d'accueil.

Le concept - y compris le concept de travailleur lui-même - et les implications de cette liberté ont été interprétés et développés par la Cour de justice européenne dans sa jurisprudence. Vous trouverez des informations détaillées sur cette jurisprudence dans la communication de la Commission intitulée : « Libre circulation des travailleurs - en tirer pleinement les avantages et les potentialités » (COM(2002)694) . Les règles communautaires relatives à la libre circulation des travailleurs s'appliquent également aux États membres de l’Espace économique européen (l’Islande, le Liechtenstein et la Norvège). Le droit à la libre circulation dont bénéficient les travailleurs est complété par des dispositions prévoyant la coordination des systèmes de sécurité sociale et la reconnaissance mutuelle des diplômes.

The table top height goes from 68.5 cm to 135 cm.

5 A useful accessory : The GoodUse Microdesk - writing platform for use with the computer keyboard.

This product was developed as a solution for call centre staff who had to key and write simultaneously. The available document and copyholders were not positioning the paperwork in a relaxed working position and upper limb musculo skeletal dysfunctions were commonplace.

Many staff were having physiotherapy treatment which was of short term benefit only. The Microdesk allows papers to be worked on above the rear one third of the keyboard so the tasks of reading, writing and typing can be performed without reaching, stretching and straining.

The centre lip allows right or left handed use to either side whilst supporting papers centrally.
