I have had many, many 100,000 to 250,000 lb lifetime cows, I would say over 200 plus. Remember back then, BAA was on all cows in the herd, and not just 90% of them, for whatever BAA is worth. And herd average is for real, and not ME average like they have in the Holstein Pulse. My two top cows for milk records, all Roughway, were: 2E-91 365 2x 39,651 3.8 1491 3.0 1106 • 2E-91 306 2x 44,340 4.4 1973 3.1 1395 There have not been photos of the Holstein classifiers and where they’re from in the Holstein Pulse for ten years, why is that?? I think I might know why, from what I have seen in the past five years. Who is paying their wage? Breeders should know them a little beforehand. Others say the same thing, hello, Holstein. Over the years I sold many bulls for breeding in grade herds, and the last ten to fifteen years more and more grade breeders would say to me, I want a bull that does not have certain bulls in the pedigree, at least the first three or four generations, because I have too many of these bulls in my herd. It was real good to hear that from grade people, even some of them have realized that there is a limit to that. We live in an age that has rejected God, and has thus rejected truth. When a man and woman stop believing in God, they then believe in nothing, they then believe anything. It is no wonder we live in a society in which millions are unable to decide whether an unborn baby is a human being, whether one man and one woman are required for a marriage, or whether the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria is Islamic. President Obama thinks our founding fathers also thought truth was relative and slippery, claiming in his book, The Audacity of Hope, that: “Implicit in the U. S. Constitution’s structure, in the very idea of ordered liberty, was a rejection of absolute truth, the infallibility of any idea or ideology or theology or ‘ism,’ any tyrannical consistency that might lock future generations into a single, unalterable course.” In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Embrace of absolute truth is the only way there can be ordered liberty. The great founders of this nation would not even recognize the America presided over by President Obama, in which the Constitution works like an Etch-a-Sketch, erased and written anew each time the Supreme Court meets to issue its rulings or President Obama hands down another executive order.The founders would look in disbelief at a nation where things as basic as maleness and femaleness are switched at a whim.They would be stunned to find a nation in which mention of God is locked inside the four walls of the church, while a gay pride parade takes place in the public square. It has become a truism in our culture that all religions, at their core, are really the same. Such a viewpoint can only be the result of theological and historical ignorance.

Later that summer we had a very bad wind and lightning storm. All my cows were outside, and I was gone at the time. I lost two of those cows, plus three other very outstanding Roughway cows from my herd.That was a sad day, to say the least, and the other two did not have any heifer calves for me. Whatever, weather and nature can be rough at times, wherever you’re at.

We are letting the raising of the flag of Islam at the White House. It’s happening now, signs are here, red, yellow, green, evil sin more and more than ever before. Russia working on South America now, more and more Christians are hated in the Middle East than ever before. There are 49 different kinds of Ices people in our country. Most people will accept most anything today. Christians in the USA have gone down 78% since 2007. Real Christian pastors need to wake up and speak out to people; there are too many false religions. It’s not difficult to swallow an aspirin when you do it the right way. It is ghastly when you do it the wrong way. So it is with virtually everything in life. It isn’t that difficult when we do it right in the first place. Take more time in life, etc. A few months ago, the world watched in horror as Islamic militants in ISIS burned a Jordanian pilot alive and broadcast a video of it around the planet. Two days after the horrific video was released, President Obama took the podium at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington and criticized Christianity. It is extraordinarily telling that President Obama’s reaction--in the face of heightened terrorsitic activity from radical Islam--is to ignore the problem and attack Christianity. It almost seems as if he only has bad things to say when the topic is Judaism or Christianity, but when the subject is Islam, he only has good things to say. President Obama has a long history of riduculing or criticizing Christianity, while repeatedly extolling the supposed benefits of Islam. This is dangerous ground. The Biblical prophet warns, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.” Isaiah 5:20.

Years back I purchased four cows at different times, and Bryce Fisher of Warman, Saskatchewan, Canada found them for me. He was the one who bred RF Goldwyn Hailey 3E-97, twice World Champion. I met him once at the World Dairy Expo.The four cows were super, really outstanding cows. One was a Hanover-Hill Inspiration and she went EX-94 at six years of age; another cow was also an Inspiration, and she went EX-93 at six years of age, also.The third cow was a Carnation Counselor that went EX-92 at four years of age, and the fourth cow was a Bridon Astro Jet that went EX-92 at five years of age. At the time when I classified, Scott Courtney was here at Roughway, he was our Holstein field representative for Iowa and Illinois, and he was the last real good Holstein fieldman that we have had, to say the least. Scott said to me, “Larry, those are really really super outstanding, great cows that Bryce got for you.”

There is a war raging, but this one is not in the Middle East, as you might expect. It is right here at home. The attack on Christians in America is unprecedented. The First Amendment has been turned upside down. In the Basics, there were four different kinds of Muslims in the world; now there are 49 different kinds of Muslims. Russia and China are working together more and more, and our President is working the the very wrong way with them, plus many government people all across our country are doing the same. Fire is closer and closer.
