One top cow in this commercial herd peaked at 190 lbs on target for over 56,000M and the oldest cow at 9th lactation 25,000M 134,000-SCC.
“Other products never did what this one does. We spray Udder Comfort™ on every fresh udder, typically for each of the first 6 milkings after calving,” says Angela Bright, parlor and calf manager at Strack-View Farms, Random Lake, Wisconsin. She earned her dairy herd management degree from Lake Shore Tech, and has used Udder Comfort in her job at Strack-View for 2 years and for 8 years before that on the farm where she grew up. Milking 500 cows at two locations, Strack-View Farms, operated by the Ken Strack family, milks 400 at the main farm, producing 85 lbs/cow/day of high quality milk (85 - 105,000 SCC). “For any sign of mastitis, we spray that quarter after each milking (3x) for one day before doing anything else.
“Udder Comfort gets the edema down, so fresh cows and heifers are more comfortable. They also milk out better and faster, and have a lower SCC. “It works wonders on edema, swelling and hard quarters. Cows recover faster, and we love the spray’s convenience.”
