ProBase™ stocks have concentrated flavors, derived through the slow cooking of bones and trimmings. This process releases their authentic properties which provide taste, aroma and a viscous mouthfeel.

The stocks provide an easy natural umami addition for use in a multitude of savory applications.

They are available as a convenient liquid paste. However, selected stocks are also available in powder form.

ProBase™ specialty fats are derived from bone marrow, tallow and fatty belly tissue.

ProBase™ mixes easily and are storage stable with a shelf life of up 3 years in ambient temperatures (1 year for selected versions and 6 months for fish/seafood).

ProBase™ fats are ideal for frying and give the result a crispy golden exterior, which is tender and juicy on the inside.

They are an excellent choice for frying or cooking at high heats, because they do not break down and oxidize to create harmful free radicals and toxic fumes like vegetable oils tend to do.

They are also higher in monounsaturated fats but have no trans fats which are good attributes for cardiovascular health.

Upcycling natural raw materials

Using by-products obtained from livestock and seafood as the only ingredients in our stocks fits perfectly with the philosophy of nose-to-tail eating. This is done by using trimmings, bones and rendering the animal fats. The process enables the most use out of the entire animal, thus creating less waste and lowering our carbon footprint.
