HARD WORK PAYS OFF FOR ACCOUNTING STUDENT LAURA The course was amazing, I was able to study in the evening which worked well around my work and family life. Dave, the tutor, was great, I studied the level 2 and level 3 with him, his experience and knowledge was a real inspiration.

Next Steps:

Laura has started her own accounting company and already has a number of clients. She is also looking to complete the Accounting Level 4 qualification in the future.

Success stories

TINA PROVES THAT IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS Without the support from the tutors I would have really struggled. It was scary being out of my comfort zone but when I started getting things right, my mindset changed. I really thought I was too old to learn anything new, especially English and maths but I really surprised myself.

Next Steps: After completing her English and maths course, Tina is looking to pursue a career working in a primary school.

SARAH ENJOYS A NEW FULL-TIME CAREER IN THE CLASSROOM With my children being a bit older now I wanted to do something for me. As a dinner lady I could see the amazing work the teaching assistants were doing and I knew I could do it! Thanks to tutors at the college, I now have my qualifications and a new full-time role as a teaching assistant, I wish I had done it years ago!

Next Steps:

Sarah has now been offered a full-time level 3 teaching assistant position at her current school.

Success stories

SCOTT CHANGES CAREER PATH AND SETS UP HIS OWN BUSINESS For about seven years I worked in front of a computer screen and I just wasn’t enjoying it anymore. My brother recently retrained as a plumber and I felt like it would be good fit for me also. The college was local to me and the lecturers seemed great so I signed up.

Next Steps: Since completing his plumbing course, Scott has set up a successful plumbing company - Pearson Plumbing & Drainage.
