Our Team

NETA not only provides training courses to industry and commerce, but is also heavily involved in government initiatives such as work-based training for young people and adult skills.

Our instructors are recruited from industry and have a wealth of experience within each of their specialist fields of training delivery. All staff hold relevant occupational qualifications, they have competency assessment and verification qualifications, as well as a wide range of teaching and learning knowledge and skills. Our people are at the heart of what makes us different and why our clients continue to use NETA as their preferred engineering learning partner.

Our electrical department operates from our outstanding facilites at Lustrum Industrial Park, Stockton. From this location, we are able to cover the whole spectrum of courses to meet the needs of various industries, including domestic and commercial, through both light and heavy industry requirements.

Our mechanical facility has been developed and built with the future in mind, and our training centre will allow personnel to become competent in a range of mechanical engineering disciplines which are essential for today’s industries. These industries include oil & gas, renewables, offshore wind and process plant operations. We have a state-of-the-art Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI) facility where we train delegates in the safe use of torque tightening and tensioning of mechanical joint connectors using both hydraulic and manual tooling. This can be carried out at our Lustrum Industrial Park facility

or on site at the client’s workplace using our portable MJI Rig which was built and supplied by Hydratight. Alongside our MJI provision, NETA Training Group also delivers bespoke training in hydraulics and pneumatics and all of our courses are carried out by time–served instructors with up-to-date industry knowledge so you can be assured that what we deliver is first class. We are an ECITB accredited centre and we work closely with them and industries to ensure our provision delivers specifically what the industry demands.

NETA Training Group is an industry leader in the field of welder training and testing, covering a range of applications including MMA, MIG, TIG & Flux Cored welding processes. We are a preferred supplier to many organisations requiring welder training and testing. Working very closely with Lloyds Register and TWI we can deliver procedure and qualifications to ASME 1X, BS/EN 15614-1 and 2, BS/EN 15613, BS/EN 9606-1, BS/EN 9606-2, AWS D1.1 and EEMUA 158. All training and testing can be carried out at our purposebuilt welding centre, which is well supported by state-of-the-art welding equipment and highly skilled and competent staff with up-to-date industry knowledge.

We are also able to provide welder training that satisfies the entry requirements for the CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector examination. Our welding trainees can add a CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspector certificate to their course achievements. No specific experience is required but it is recommended that candidates possess a minimum of six months’ weldingrelated engineering experience and two years’ industrial experience. NETA Training Group has always been regarded as a leader in the fabrication trades, and in addition to our welding facility, we are able to offer a range of plating and fabrication courses in our fully equipped workshop.

Our purpose-built Scaffolding Training Centre opened in 1996, and since then we have been a leading provider in the North East for the Construction Industry Scaffolders Scheme (CISRS) and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).

NETA Training Group works very closely with construction and engineering organisations in the development of competencies for employees engaged in rigging, lifting and slinging activities. The inherent nature of these activities carry a high degree of risk should the loads not be managed correctly, therefore safety is at the forefront of these activities which is reflected through our courses. Our aim is to enhance the skills for personnel who perform rigging, lifting and slinging activities using lifting equipment and lifting accessories to the recognised industry standards, including the current rigging/moving loads regulations and legislation. We promote best industry practice in rigging, lifting and slinging methodology and inspection of equipment and work to the requirements of Safe Use of Lifting Equipment (LOLER).

NETA offers a wide range of rigging, lifting and slinging courses to suit all levels of experience and knowledge such as Basic Rigging Skills and Appointed Person. We pride ourselves on being able to offer tailored courses to suit clients’ requirements such as refresher training, slight adjustments to our standard courses or completely new bespoke training courses to suit operational needs. NETA Training Group is accredited through the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) which enables us to offer internationally recognised qualifications. LEEA has been the leading authority and representative body for those involved in lifting operations for over 70 years across the world.
