Stay at Home The current trend of our lives today – do we really know what lies ahead? Can we comprehend on this thought for a while? What are we supposed to think? What are we supposed to do? How do we respond to ourselves when we feel trapped in our own abode? So many thoughts cross our minds. These are those times where ‘staying calm’ is of utmost necessity. With all the fun the world generally has at a ‘frightful situation’, if we only stop to think and slow down our regular daily thoughts, it simply gives us to understand the importance of accepting our lives moment by moment as they are. Just stop and think about what the future holds for us had every individual been told that our lives will now be ‘rationed’ in every sense of the word. What’s the next step? How will you ‘personally’ respond to a mandate of this type? What is your order of importance in a situation like this? Generally speaking, anyone would live fearfully without thinking twice. But instead, if you can simply evaluate your situation calmly and fearlessly, those fearful or paranoid thoughts will eventually decrease. If you know how to understand your current requirements and ‘accept’ your situation, knowing that there’s nothing you can do about it, it gives you a tremendous insight and calm perception of so many thoughts that would otherwise drive you up the walls...so to speak!! A cup of tea or coffee with a good book to read or some light music in the background would perhaps, brighten your moments and ‘cool down’ your current and ongoing concerns, to help you understand what’s to be done next. There’s absolutely no practical use worrying over issues which are completely out of your personal control. The more we accept our daily circumstances the way they are presented to us, patiently and calmly, in spite of feeling the ‘suffocation’ of our freedom, this is what makes or gives us the ‘freedom’ and ‘peace’ we’ve longed for. These should be those occasions you can reflect upon all those moments you didn’t have time to concentrate on yourself or your family. The calm and concentration you put into every step you take, to do anything while your in ‘lock-down’ mode in silence or with your family or friends, can give you a better comprehension and a fresh perspective about your future. In saying that it’s easy to preach than to practice, everything that needs to be done, has to be done. But the healthier action to do take would be to what needs to be done with calm and present concentration on your job in hand.
