In 2019, 149 applications from 34 European countries were submitted for the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards. 25 winners from 16 countries (photo collage 1) were chosen by juries of experts from across Europe. Their outstanding achievements were awarded in four categories: Conservation, Research, Dedicated Service, and Education, Training and Awareness-Raising. In addition, one Europa Nostra Award was awarded to a remarkable achievement from Turkey, a European country not taking part in the EU Creative Europe programme.
En 2019, 149 candidatures de 34 pays européens ont été soumises pour les Prix européens du patrimoine / Prix Europa Nostra. 25 lauréats de 16 pays (photo collage 1) ont été sélectionnés par des jurys d’experts issus de toute l’Europe. Leurs réalisations exceptionnelles ont été récompensées dans quatre catégories : Conservation, Recherche, Contribution exemplaire, et Éducation, Formation et Sensibilisation. De plus, un prix Europa Nostra a été décerné à une réalisation remarquable de la Turquie, un pays européen ne participant pas au programme Europe Créative de l’UE.
The winners were celebrated at the Grande Soirée du Patrimoine Européen on 29 October at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris (photo 2). More than 1,000 people from all over Europe gathered to celebrate these inspiring heritage achievements. The European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics, and the President of Europa Nostra, Maestro Plácido Domingo, co-hosted the ceremony and paid tribute to the laureates.
Les lauréats ont été célébrés lors de la Grande Soirée du Patrimoine Européen le 29 octobre au Théâtre du Châtelet à Paris (photo 2). Plus de 1 000 personnes venues de toute l’Europe se sont réunies pour célébrer ces réalisations inspirantes liées au patrimoine. Le Commissaire européen à l’éducation, à la culture, à la jeunesse et aux sports, Tibor Navracsics, et le Président d’Europa Nostra, Maestro Plácido Domingo, ont présenté ensemble la cérémonie et ont rendu hommage aux lauréats.
