> Wild Rose Hotel & Casino
With the success of the Mississippi Belle II, Wild Rose Entertainment sought out to build a premier “Vegas Style” gaming resort facility on a 28.6-acre parcel just off the main highway in Clinton, Iowa. Iowa’s first 100% land based casino, the property features a 28,000 SF casino, an appealingly themed restaurant/tavern, buffet, 60-room boutique hotel, and 15,000 SF event center.
Wild Rose Casino, with its prairie-style aesthetics, drew inspiration from the architecture of the region in the early 20th century. Playing on the design elements from this era such as flat or hipped roofs with broad overhanging eaves, windows grouped in horizontal bands, and horizontal lines that meld the building with the prairie landscape, the design evokes a sense of place and regional heritage.

A departure from the glitzy restaurants that pepper the Vegas strip, Estiatorio Milos is a retreat to the rustic beaches of Greece. The design team sought to create a space that flattered the simple and sophisticated culinary concept of the restaurant, which offers fresh and authentically prepared Greek seafood.
Located inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel, the expansive layout required careful planning. Generous seating is dispersed over a number of intimate dining areas, including a private dining room and outdoor patio.

Sammy’s Woodfire Pizza
> Sammy’s Woodfire Pizza
The area around Green Valley Parkway and Pebble Road consists of several office buildings and low to medium density residential. This new restaurant enhances the neighborhood by providing an upscale dining experience to both area residents and office workers. The contemporary building vernacular, lighting systems, color palette and materials used bring excitement to the corporate masterplanned business park.
The design approach was centered around the idea of how pizzas are traditionally prepared and cooked. Wood elements were used on the walls around the bar to relate to the wood used in the ovens while metal elements relate to the iron grills used for barbecuing. Lastly, faux stone walls (inside and out) reminisce the old stone ovens that were historically used to cook pizza.

> Tenaya Creek Resturant & Brewery
Tenaya Creek Restaurant and Brewery is a highenergy facility that is inviting to both families and adults. Stone walls, wood floors, exposed ceiling trusses, and glass walls provide a light, open environment in the bar. The dining room is more subdued and quiet, using softer finishes. Metal sun shades were used to diffuse light, and the use of lower ceilings, carpet, and faux finished walls create a sense of intimacy. A private party area is created with the use of wood and glass folding doors hidden within the walls, and finally the functioning brew vats are beautifully sheathed in copper and concealed in glass for patrons to view.
