Project Information

Credit One Bank, the fastest-growing credit card issuer in the U.S., continues to redefine its presence with the expansion of its Las Vegas-based financial services corporate campus. Phase Two marks the latest evolution of the bank’s dynamic 22-acre campus, introducing a striking four-story, 157,000-square-foot office complex that seamlessly integrates with the existing headquarters while asserting its own architectural identity.

Downtown Summerlin

Project Information

EV&A was commissioned by the Howard Hughes Corporation to solve a pedstrian and vertical transportation issue that has concerned ownership since the project was built several years ago. The design team’s charge was centered on imagining an elegant sweeping new staircase ascending to mid-level landing that splits both ways to arrive at each of the second leval retail concourses.

To help accomplish this goal, EV&A focussed on design and venacular cues from the existing architecture to fully integrate the new element into the mall environment giving observers the feeling that it had been there from the beginning.

Republic Services - MRC

Project Information

The Republic Service’s Materials Recovery Center in North Las Vegas recycles more than 140,000 tons of materials annually. The facility is composed of a 100,000 SF recycling center along with a two-story, 6,500 SF commons building that houses administrative and dispatch functions as well as conference rooms and a learning center.

EV&A’s design approach focused on community and sustainability. Floor-to-ceiling vision panels on the second floor allows visiting school children and others to comprehensively view how the recycling process works. The exterior of the main building rests upon a base of site cast concrete panels designed for longevity and ease of maintenance, while the top fourth of each wall is composed of translucent panels to bathe the interior with natural light. Overall the design helps minimize heat gain and save on energy.

The City of Las Vegas

Symphony Park Bridge - South

Symphony Park Bridge

Project Information

The Symphony Park Bridge became the first of its kind providing easy pedestrian access from downtown Las Vegas to the Symphony Park Development and the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The site (a former Union Pacific rail yard) is a reclaimed browns field project and part of the City’s 61-acre master plan development.

The cast-in-place trio of supports were designed to receive the entire length of the yard constructed bridge which had to be flown into place in a 45 minute span of time between train runs. Twin elevators coupled with an exterior helical stair serve the vertical transportation needs of the bridge, while opposing metal clad awnings that gently rise from the core, provide essential shading for pedestrian users. Custom graphic metal perforated panels were installed on each side of the walkway providing a windbreak as well as outwardly expressing the interior function.
