Geographical features and History Santorini is a beautiful island in southern Cyclades in Greece. It is situated next to Anafi and Ios island. There is a long history of the island since the Bronze Age. There are ancient ruins in Akrotiri, the famous archaeological site and in its museum there are signs of Cycladetic civilization.
Population and jobs â—Ś The population is about 15.200,but in summer is increased a lot because of tourism. â—Ś The residents deal with tourism, fishing and agriculture.
