I guess I’ve been following the news and politics far too much recently. I think it has made me even more cynical about the world. I have wanted to compose an elegy for quite a while now and I came up with the idea for this one night while trying to fall asleep. The next morning I composed “Elegy for the goddamned world we live in”. It is a short expressive work for tenor saxophone and piano.
