2017 is the Year of the Rooster. The description of rooster can be traced back to "The Classic of Poetry", dating from the 11th to 7th centuries BC. In the Tang Dynasty (618-907), rooster is frequently described as a symbol of diligence. According to archaeological data, six or seven thousand years ago, the rooster is treated as an important poultry by ancient Chinese. It is said that the ancient emperors Yao and Shun worship the "red bird", which is shaped like a rooster and can chase the beast. In ancient China, rooster is a repetitive of art, valiance, bravery, benevolence and faith. Chicken is edible poultry, and it is also ancient people's timekeeping tool. Rooster is also a symbol of culture and favoured by people. Moreover, the pronunciations of rooster ( 雞 ) and lucky ( 吉 ) are same in Chinese. Chinese people believe that rooster can call out fortune. 2017 年是丁酉雞年,而中國古人有關於雞的描述可以追溯到《詩經》裡的「風 雨瀟瀟,雞鳴膠膠」,再到後來的「三更燈火五更雞,正是少年讀書時」,關於「雞」 的詩文描述自古就不絕於耳。而據考古資料顯示,早在距今六、七千年的仰紹文 化時期,雞就是重要的家禽。傳說堯、舜時供奉「重明鳥」形如公雞,能博逐野獸。 在中國古代,雞被稱為有「文、武、勇、仁、信」五德的「德禽」。雞既是可食 用的家禽, 還是古代人們的報時工具,同時也是一種文化的象徵, 深受人民的喜 愛。而且,雞與「吉」同音,金雞報喜,寓意好運降臨,大吉大利。

The Cockfighting The cockfighting is an entertaining tradition in the world, and people use chicken in the estrous period to fight in the game. It was also a popular game in ancient China, which was first developed by the Thai people. Cockfighting appeared since Indus Valley Civilization around 3300 B.C. to 1300 B.C. Two ferocious cocks are put together and they will not only be fierce pecking each other, but also use cockspur to hit the opponent. If they fight for a long time, and they are both tired, people should use water to wake them up, and let them re-enter the battle till there is a cock defeated. Cockfighting scenes are quite intense. Two cocks are fighting hard, so that they usually have comb blood and cry. In China, this activity was first seen in the " Commentary of Zuo ". It described that there were two

The rare Chenghua pieces are small, but of very high quality, so that they're very expensive. Because of the cups’ rareness, decedents have been imitated it endlessly.

獨具慧眼 盛智文出生於加拿大蒙特利爾,是一位德裔猶太人。他十幾 歲起便開始做生意。很多人認為猶太人善於經商,但盛智文認為 自己的理念跟是否受猶太文化的影響沒有必然的聯繫,只是思想 比較開放。 早期由於工作原因,需要在海外進口服裝,盛智文 20 歲出 頭就常到香港出差。「那時候來香港出差,從世界的一端來到另 一端,這種感覺就像去月球一樣。」他笑說。當時,與自己成長 迥然不同的文化,給他帶來極大的衝擊,這種挑戰讓他非常興奮。 他隨後決定定居香港,懷揣 100 萬加拿大元,更於 26 歲的年 紀(1976 年)創辦了服裝公司。 1980 年代初,他敏銳地察覺到香港缺乏具有特色的西餐廳, 許多外國人到了香港晚上缺乏休閒場所,即選中了離中環寫字樓 區很近的蘭桂坊開設了這裡的第一家餐廳「加利福尼亞」。此後, 蘭桂坊逐漸成為了香港休閒生活的中心,至今擁有過百家餐廳、 會所、店鋪、休閒設施,成為了香港人乃至世界各地遊客慕名而 至的娛樂熱點。 近年來,中國內地娛樂產業的興起也給蘭桂坊捎帶了新的機 會,蘭桂坊的品牌開設輻射至中國內地的多個城市。盛智文說, 他幾乎每天都能接到內地政府或企業的邀請,請他到內地不同城 市開設蘭桂坊。目前,成都蘭桂坊已落成,並受到當地的歡迎, 未來,海口、上海、無錫等地也即將落成蘭桂坊。 由於互聯網的行業蓬勃發展,中國內地實體經濟受到一定的 衝擊,對此,盛智文感到很幸運:「人們始終需要外出消遣,吃 飯、 娛樂都是人們必不可少的一部分, 而且中國內地在刺激內 需,所幸我的行業並沒有受到什麼衝擊。」
將「有趣」融於事業 2004 年至 2013 年,盛智文在香港前特首董建華「六」顧 茅廬的盛情邀請之下,出任香港海洋公園主席,搭救這家充滿香 港回憶的主題公園。除了讓公園改頭換面增加新的項目內容、策 劃不同主題的活動以外,盛智文還常常親自上陣,在萬聖節喬裝 自己,他扮演過「跳舞女郎」、「巨型水母」、「殭屍人」等, 每當他以如此打趣的造型出現,各大媒體總是爭相報導,也為海 洋公園爭取了不少人氣。於是,如此滑稽的一面,讓盛智文在香 港又多了一個花名——「扮嘢文」(「扮嘢」在廣東話中意思是 裝模作樣)。而當時,海洋公園的競爭對手香港廸士尼樂園同期 業績連年虧損,更讓盛智文贏得了「米奇老鼠殺手」的稱號。

raised in Hong Kong, Antonio Lai has worked all over the world: Singapore, Malaysia, Beijing, Japan, Germany and Paris. Now he co-owns five bars. The bar scene of Hong Kong has changed greatly in the late 90s when Antonio Lai was flairing at Planet Hollywood, and later he became a part of the change. Antonio and Charlene Dawes co-founded molecular bar Quinary, hotel bar The Envoy, gin bar Origin, tasting restaurant-cum-bar Vea and Whiskey bar Angel’s Share. Especially Quinary, the postindustrial style and other-worldly drinks make it become one of the best bars in the world. Once on a trip to Italy, Antonio read a book of the father of Italian molecular cocktail Dario Comini and got inspired. Suggested by Spike Marchant and Angus Winchester, Antonio
went to London and became a student of Tony Conigliaro’s Drink Factory. He spent two weeks in London, learning a lot of advanced technologies such as rotary steam distillation, vacuum and vacuum cryogenic cooking. This apprentice experience gave him plenty of motivation to open a molecular cocktail bar, which is Quinary. When he returned to Hong Kong and helped Charlene to do the cocktail menu for a whiskey bar, he wanted to create something different, so he asked for some molecular cooking equipment for cocktails. Charlene suggested that it would be better to open a new bar, so Quinary was founded. April 1, 2017, one of the world’s top 50 bars Quinary launched a special drink made of Moutai - Dear Jade. This is a playful ode to a girl named Jade, who is as fragrant as ripe pears and as electrifying as pink peppercorns. Dear Jade is created with Moutai, and mixed with Poire Willian, cardamom tincture, pear puree, pink peppercorn syrup, and lemon juice. The aroma of Moutai merged with the sweet of pear and spicy of pink peppercorns, and served in ancient-China style cup, which bring up novelty created by the collision of western and oriental elements.

Every moment is right moment relieving the beautiful scene, and I feel glad I had witnessed every important moment.

Art Central, another art fair, is also one of the most wanted events in Hong Kong, which pours the fresh blood in Hong Kong Art Weeks and becomes the cannot-missing art event in Hong Kong.

Poet He Zhizhang, who has a poor eyesight, is riding a horse as fast as taking a boat trip. He falls in the well and sleep in the well. Su Jin is a vegetarian but he often forgets the commandments when drinking. Li Bai can write one hundred poems after drinking one dou of Chinese liquor and he always sleeping in the liquor shop in Changan City. He refuses the King and calls himself the fairy of liquor.
八仙歌是唐代現實主義詩人杜甫初到長安時所作。 李白、賀知章等「酒中八仙人」 都在長安生活過,在嗜酒、豪放、曠達方面頗爲相似,這首詩是杜甫爲這八人描寫的 「肖像」。
Zhangxu takes up the brush and writes a book after drinking three cups of Chinese liquor. He is not very polite to the royals while he often takes off his hat. Jiao Sui stays conscious after drinking five dous of liquor and he impresses others by his amazing thesis.
This poem was written by Du Fu, the realism poet of Tang Dynasty, after he just arrived in Changan City. All the eight drunk celebrities including Li Bai and He Zhizhang lived in Changan City. They all love drinking and were bold and unconstrained. This poem described vivid portraits of these eight people.

Truthfulness exists, Though I want to argue about this, I find myself lost for words.

The Tsin poet Tao Yuanming was overlooked by other royal members and officers since he was not from family with powerful background though his grandparents were government officials. With the intention of living in the seclusion, he wrote this poem after resigning from the position of county leader of Pengze. Even though the world is unset, we still can live a good life if we keep a balance of our inner world.
