The Taste of China In order to cater to the rising demand of the Hong Kong market, Moutai has selected Hong Kong local restaurants for the first time to promote Chinese culture and national quintessence. In the crush of Chinese and Western cultures, food and wine, Moutai is opening a new journey of taste. What is the real Chinese flavor? Everyone has a different answer. Hong Kong, as a famous food capital among the world, has gathered more than 15,000 restaurants in the 1105-square-kilometer city. There are Michelin restaurants, and also street shops that look ugly but with astonishing food, as well as the ancient cuisine that has been passed down for centuries. In the previous Moutai Magazine, we introduced 10 restaurants that participated in the “Taste of China” promotion. In this issue, we will offer you:

Lao Xue Yuan 老雪園

Lao Xue Yuan first opened in 1986 as Snow Garden

Restaurant in North Point. Its exceptional service and

exquisite Shanghainese dishes including pan fried pork

bun, braised pork knuckle and xiao long bao had made it

an institution with diners, including Macau casino magnate Stanley Ho and late Hong Kong entertainment mogul Sir Run Run Shaw.

In 2017, Lao Xue Yuan found its new home in Wanchai

and is delivering a modern twist to traditional Shanghainese cuisine. Signature dishes such as Wuxi style crispy eel, stir

fried river shrimp, and smoked camphor tea duck, delight the palettes of all generations.
