Letter from the Editor Summer is winding down and Fall is on the horizon... pumpkin spiced everything, warm apple cider, cozy sweaters, and fuzzy blankets. This issue is packed full of Fall goodness, from Back to School Celebrations to Halloween parties, and even a sneak peek at a Silly Turkey! As always it is a pleasure and an honor to share so many talented stylists parties with you. We are currently accepting submissions for the Winter 2015 and Spring 2016 issues, as well as seasonally appropriate content for the blog, www.everydaypartymag.com.

Super Hero Party by: B. Lovely Events
W
e had a super fun time putting together this superhero themed 5th birthday! We went with a fun vintage pop comic book theme for this superhero party. Sticking mainly to the reds, blues and yellows that the comic books have to bring the theme even more to life. This dessert bar was jam packed full of goodies plus a ton of really cute superhero printables that we made the shining star of the table. Who doesn’t love a good Ka-bang or splat added to your desserts to make them a little more awesome. We even matched the comic book pop out with the dessert to bring a little more fun to the table and really helps pull everything together too! For example, krunch was on the cookies, splat on the doughnuts, yum on the jello cups, pop on the gumballs and punch on sour punch. They turned out super cute. We also added in some cute flavored waters for the kiddos in the colors of the party and added the comic pop out to those too. We wanted a fun combination of candy mixed with our favorite treats like cookies, doughnuts and cupcakes but wanted to pull it all together on a tight budget. Overall the dessert table budget was less than $100. All of the desserts were homemade like the blue cupcakes or premade like the cookies, doughnuts and rice krispies to help keep on budget and they were all from the bakery at Target to save even more. We DIYed all of the details from the hand painted building background with chalkboard paint to the fun party printables we printed and cut ourselves. Also to keep within budget we used wrapping paper to cover the table instead of linen which added a really cool color and pattern to the table that we can’t couldn’t get from a typical linen. We also used wrapping paper as the backdrop for the table too with a fun polka dot theme to mimic the comic book look that we were really going for. We also used containers and cake stands we already had on hand to save money as well. All in all the party turned out lovely and have really darling details in it. Our favorite was definitely the superhero rice krispie treat men that we put together!

One Smart Cookie Back to School Celebration by: My Thrifty Sister
A
s each summer ends and we get ready to go of Back to School, I can’t forget the first time we dropped off our son, now 33 years old for his first day of Kindergarten. He stood at the top of the stairs on the slide. I wish I could say we took that picture but it was too fast. But that image is frozen in my mind to this day. Many Back to School mornings were always remembered by a photo even when he was in High School and the picture had to be taken in the back yard. When I decided on a Back to School party theme many ideas came to my mind. I’ve been invited to BOO HOO Breakfasts for Moms who’ve taken their child to school for the first day with mimosas and cheesecake, oh, and chocolate, lots of chocolate. Back to School parties where guests were invited to bring 24 of one particular school item, we then packed back packs with the items to help students first day of school. Our local school was able to give the full packs to students who needed one. It was such a good feeling. I chose my favorite idea for this year. I’m borrowing from Kim, a friend of mine and former Youth Pastor. Kim always hosts a Cookies and Milk party following the first day of school. Kim and her husband Mike invited students 6th – 12 grade to stop by their home on their way home for a fun treat and to talk about their first day. To this day with four kids of their own, student’s will ask “Miss Kim, are you having a cookies and milk party this year?” she responds “Of course, come on by!” Bb is for banner I printed my banner on a card stock and cut each letter out and secured them with scotch tape and three swags of colored twine. Grab the free printable banner on EPM in Early August! Bb is for Bookworms: gummy worms Cc is for Centerpiece: For my centerpiece of school supplies, I used a Slimfast base to tie my 3” x 5” cards and highlighters. A Small lemonade container for my crayon layer and inserted pencils into the center of my Elmer’s School glue. Cc is for Chocolate Chip
Ee is for eraser: I cut pink sugar wafer cookies in half for my erasers. Ff is Flash Cards: Flash cards are ready for each cookie flavor Ff is for frame: First day of School frame. I saw this idea on Pinterest and went to my craft supplies. I love letters and knew I had enough to add the letters with double sided Velcro to my frame. With the Velcro attachment I could easily change the 1st day to 100th day or Last day. Mm is for milk: I started with a mason jar for my milk, after my cookies were cooling on the counter I used a large firm straw to make a hole in the center of the cookie for my straw. I slid the cookie right on top of my jar, so guest’s could just pick one up. Oo is for Oatmeal Pp is for Pencil: I used a package of colored Twizzlers with a gumdrop, for my pencils. I inserted a tooth pick in the gumdrop, and the other end into the Twizzler. I chipped off the candy coating on a Good n’ Plenty and trimmed it into a point to look like my pencil lead inserted into the opposite end of the Twizzler. I wrapped just a bit of foil to secure the pencil top together. Pp is for Peanut Butter Ss is for Snickerdoodle Ss is for Salt shaker Cardholders: I made my card holders with thrift store salt shakers and wrapped a heavy wire around a ¾” dowel a few times and then had to drill the top hole of my shakers for the wire. I used spray glue right into the shaker then added a table spoon of glitter, shake it around and dumped out extra. Tt is for table runner: I torn a few pages from my dictionary for a table runner with assorted patterns of black and white composition notebooks, and primary color plates. o make Mason Jar Cookie Lids, you will need to bake cookies to about 2� round. Break and bake or cookie tubes bake to the right size. While the cookies are still warm, use a strong straw to poke a hole in the center. allow to cool completely before using as a lid. Simple, unexpected, and FUN! Labor Day by: DIY Mobern Hostess
T
he end of the summer season is bittersweet for our family. The kids are excited to start a new school year with their friends, yet, a little sad about the freedom of summer coming to an end. One last celebration for Labor Day Weekend always helps us with the transition back into homework and schedules. This year, we invited our friends, and it was a fantastic send off! We hosted the party in our backyard. Long tables were styled with gorgeous flowers and lanterns. Kids tables were set with coloring sheets and crayons in small buckets. Dinner and dessert buffet tables were on the porch, and styled beautifully! A naked cake topped with fresh blueberries was the focal piece, and it was a delicious as it was beautiful. The end of the night came too soon, but we released Chinese Lanterns into the sky as we said goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall! Ballerina & Top Hats Birthday by: Glitter Girlz Events & Designs

adies And Gents A Classy Affair
What makes a great party? Well, I would say food, friends and awesome dÊcor. Oh wait, don’t forget the glitter! Here at Glitter Girlz Events and Designs, glitter is an element we want to bring to every party, so when we had an opportunity to style a Ballerina and Top Hat party we jumped on it. My daughter loves to dance, so ballerinas were a natural choice. Her favorite color is pink so that made choosing the color palette super simple. In order to include the boys, without taking away from the girly elements, we included top hats, they are clean cut and represent gentlemen, and every good ballerina needs a gentleman at her side. My budget for this party was $300, therefore nearly everything was a D.I.Y. project. First, I went to one of my favorite graphic designers, Anabella Castro of InstaParties to design a few ballerina printables for me. Once we discussed printables, my color palette became light pink, hot pink, and white with hints of black and silver. On the main table, I opted for a more sophisticated look by using charger plates; they tend to take a children’s party to a different level. I then layered the tableware with hot pink dinner and white dessert plates. Silver cutlery was wrapped with a pink napkin and then held together with InstaParties printables. Because the party was outside, I also chose to use cups that had lids to help minimize drink spills. I chose these super cute plastic milk bottles and silver straws from 3SweetMemories. To stay true to the ballerina and top hat theme, I ordered the pretty pink ballerina and black top hat favor tags from my friend Blanca of Creativities Galore and. I then used these tags to bring a little more flair to the cups. TIP: Always order extra favor tags; you never know what you could use them for. On the dessert table, I wanted to mix different hues of pink. I opt-
ed for a lighter pink on the table overlay so that the dark pink would pop on top. Shakeya Levell of Elite Events and Kreations created the centerpiece, this was one of my favorite elements of the party because it also served as a cupcake holder. To keep it budget friendly, I made my own treats and purchased store bought cupcakes. I topped the cupcakes with mini ballerinas created by Creativities Galore. I made my own Rice Krispies treats and chocolate-dipped marshmallows. The rest of the candy was Hershey’s Kisses in silver to match the straws and to compliment the pink lollipops and pink jelly beans. Tip: Use extra straws for food items e.g. marshmallows to make finger foods mess free. For the food table, I kept it simple and again played with the pink hues. As a focal point, I wanted something sparkly so I created D.I.Y papier-mâché letters in silver. Then I added a little more ballerina accents to the table. The dance and twirl tags on the popcorn holder box, the utensil holder, and the ballerina dancing on top of the pink and white gum balls. Because this was an afternoon party and the kids had already eaten lunch, I served a fruit tray and some popcorn along with lemonade as a light snack for the kids. The cotton candy bags were perfect party favors and were ordered from My Sweet Servings. I used the same top hat and ballerina tags from the milk bottles to decorate them. Ceci est la partie parfaite for the little ballerina in your life! (This is the perfect party…)

Boho Beach Party by: Carmen Navarro Designs
W
e decided to take a simple yet fun approach to this Boho inspired birthday party at the beach. By using bright colors we able to create a very fun atmosphere for the girls! I continued the use of the bright colors through the use of throw pillows, which were not only pretty to the eye, they were also used for seating! We made it feel a bit more sophisticated with a bright floral centerpiece. We had several fun D.I.Y features; including the tissue paper tassel garland above table and hand made the balloon wands. y littlest man loves sports! All sports. So naturally, for his birthday he wanted a sports party. And by sports, I mean EVERY sport you can think of. He wanted tennis courts, volleyball nets, hockey rinks, baseball fields and even a skate park. As much as I love my little guy, that just wasn’t all going to happen. So we settled on four and got to work planning. We decided to keep our lunch simple, because as many of you know, six year olds can be picky eaters. We went with the traditional little people crowd pleasers of pizza, soft pretzels, fruit cups, carrots and go gurt. I set it all up on our basketball food court. I ordered a basketball court table covering and basketball paper lanterns. I also picked up a basketball net and a new basketball to add to the court. I hung the net from my kitchen light then added the basketball paper lanterns around it to create the basketball chandelier. Then I finished off the court with a real basketball. I love decor that doubles as a birthday present. For the dessert table, I ordered football, baseball and soccer paper lanterns. I used them to create a simple backdrop for our sporty treats. The table was covered in green fabric and filled with fun sporty treats including suckers, championship ring pops and homemade baseball and basketball cupcakes. Then I added sports balls to the table and my little man was as happy as could be. Now for my personal favorite, the stadium. While doing my online shopping I stumbled across the stadium backdrop and I had to have it! I’m not going to lie, I didn’t even ask my little man if he liked it, I just ordered it. I ordered the upper and lower deck and put it up all the way around my back patio. Then I covered the tables with football field table covers and added buckets of sunflower seeds and pompoms to finish them off. The kids loved hanging out in the stadium. No summer party is complete without some fun in the pool. I set up a
tailgate area for parents to sit and watch the kiddos in the pool and filled the pool with inflatable sports beach balls and bats. Who gives a group of small boys inflatable bats?!?! We finished off the party with a baseball pi単ata. A great time was had by all and my little man loved sharing his love of sports with his friends. Popcorn Party by 4KidsCakes

s our kids are getting older, do you find yourself facing more challenges? I sure do. It’s always a careful balance in making sure the theme & décor I come up with is ‘cool enough’ for my tween, without being cheesy. This year my son wanted to have friends over to watch a movie, but he didn’t want a ‘typical movie party’ – so we went with a popcorn theme. Lisa Frank Parties created a piñata as our focal point above the table. We used a vintage frame from our favorite shop – Vintage 109. They also provided a few of the crates/boxes we used to create levels & hold the cotton candy/popcorn boxes. They make the coolest furniture out of reclaimed wood – love them! I got a little crafty for this party. Cardboard letters spelling out POPCORN were decoupaged with scrapbook paper in our party colors (I even found a paper with popcorn all over it). The red shelves & apple crates were purchased at Hobby Lobby. Small Moments always knows how to interpret what I want and recreate it in print. Kim did just that for our Popcorn Party, from our Selfie Station, to our invitations, to labels, and t-shirt transfers – she created the perfect printables (and totally gets my sense of humor too). I think the t-shirts are my absolute favorite! We stuck to red/black/yellow/white for our colors. OhNuts.com provided the perfect selection of gourmet popcorns – you can shop by color, or by specific product. We chose red cherry, black cherry, yellow lemon, caramel, & kettle corn. They even had M&M’s in our party colors too for our candy mix-ins. If you’re like me & love Pinterest, I found a few recipes for homemade popcorns too, to add to our popcorn bar. The birthday boy’s choices were Churo, Cake Batter, & Oreo. I found butter & cheese flavored popcorn at the dollar store – not everything has to be fancy, & I love saving a few $ here and there where I can! Our local craft store had microwave popcorn that was still on the cob that made a fun favor for the guests too. Popcorn Stand boxes that looked like actual popcorn carts were made for each guest to take home popcorn. Black gable boxes with candy tubes from Lisa frank were available for each
to look at, they were SO yummy- she surprised us with a toffee flavor! For our Selfie Station, Small Moments created a poster with avatars of each of the party guests. It was so fun for each of the kids to come and figure out where they were on the poster. They used photo booth props from Kristyns Kreations when they took their selfies. For the movie reel table, I came across it at a garage sale. It was all gold, and very ugly. It had wire mesh in all the openings. I ripped all of that out, painted the
guest to fill with sweets to take home. To add to our sweet choices, we used clear boxes from Celebration Lane to hold our candy mix-ins. I made the cake to look like a large tub of popcorn. Cupcakes w/movie themed fondant topper’s were displayed on my new stand from CakePopStandCo. Their stand is awesome – it comes apart for easy storage. I will be using it again & again! French Macarons made in the shape of popcorn kernels were center stage for the guests and is the birthday boy’s favorite treat. Stunning popcorn kernel cake pops from Sparkling Sweets Boutique were a huge hit. Cotton candy from My Sweet Servings was a perfect touch to our display & the kids loved it during the movie. Now while I can make fun treats & am grateful for that ability to make a lot of this on my own – I do not have the patience to make sugar cookies. Michele from SweetTreatsByM. com is crazy talented in this department. She made the most amazing cookies for this party. I just gave her the theme & she ran with it. Not only were they so fun
whole table silver, then added all the black sections, and finished off the painting with the white parts of the ‘negatives’. I completed the table with vinyl circles from TellAllSigns. I love the finished look. We had the birthday boy’s best friend over a few days before the party to take pictures, and then used those photo’s as the pictures in the ‘negative’ spots on the table. The friend wasn’t able to be at the party, but this way he was still a part of it. We finished off the table with plates from Create Ur Plate. We had Small Moments create the design for us & then sent it to Create Ur Plate to have them printed. It’s so fun – they come as clings & you put them on the backs of these plates. We used their glass plates for this party & can reuse them again.
Overall it was a great, low key, fun party. The kids had fun, joked around, and were silly. Exactly what a bunch of 11 year olds want to do. Cowgirl Birthday Party by: Au Party

orses! That’s what my daughter had in mind for her sixth birthday. Rather than designing a traditional cowgirl themed party, I wanted to create a softer look to incorporate more of a shabby chic feel. We were able to find the perfect horse farm as a backdrop for the party. Delicate pink gingham and paisley, along with touches of gold highlighted the bold western accents of wood, hay and cowboy hats. The table centerpieces, framed ‘wanted’ poster, and buffet table all helped bring it all together. One of my favorite details of the party was the favor table, the highlight being the wood board with my daughter’s name written out in rope as well as the real horseshoes (provided by the farm) that were cleaned and spray painted a metallic copper. Party favors were presented in simple brown bags, embellished with a doily and closed shut with clothespins that had each child’s name stamped on. Of course I also loved the pink painted Mason Jars that were filled with baby’s breath as centerpieces and the gold glittered horseshoe table decorations. Our menu included pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, fruit cups, popcorn cups, sugar cookies and cupcakes. I think I pulled off the look I was going for, but more importantly my daughter and her friends had the time of their lives. Definitely a birthday to remember! o celebrate Rowyn turning two, her mom requested a sweets table fit for her farm animal loving little one!! I knew right away that I needed to incorporate pink and ruffles, two things that all girly girls love!! I created pink tractor lollipops and horse cake pops with pink roses! My favorite sweet on the table featured fondant pigs resting on top of mini chocolate cheesecakes!! Did you spot the mini donuts?? I stacked these on ruffled ring dishes!! To incorporate ruffles I decorated the cake to match to the tablecloth!! The favor boxes were my second favorite feature on the sweets table!! I created the animals using my Cricut, added a little ruffle to white gable boxes, and stuffed each box with little pigs for each party guest to take home!!! I hope you enjoy my girly barn yard sweets table!!! Carnival Baby Shower by Elegant Events
I love events; all types, birthdays, weddings, baby showers and it is an honor to be able to help facilitate and orchestrate these celebrations and create memories to last a lifetime. I wanted to be able to give back to my community that has blessed me with so much, so I host an annual contest on my Facebook page. Fans are encouraged to tag themselves or a friend and share a short story. This baby shower was the winner from my contest, and the mom to be’s only request was a soft color palette using the color pink. My creative juices were flowing, and my vision board was soon filled with touches of peach, whites, pinks, and gold. Carnival elements helped make this party stand out. I was able to work with fabulous vendors that helped make my vision a reality. The guest of honor and her guests were awe struck, and I will forever cherish being a part of this special event! Super Hero Birthday Party by:A Special Touch Event P lanning

his party is the party my son has be waiting on for a while so I had to make it awesome…He turned the Big SIX!!! And it was Super!!!! He was asked to choose the Super Heroes that he liked the best, and he choose Superman, Batman, Hulk, Spiderman, Thor and Captain America. That was all I needed to get the ball rolling. We decided to make the party like a Super Hero Obstacle Course; we had the Hulk Pillow Case Hop, Thor Bean Bag Throw, Batman Double Leg Run, Spiderman Jumper, Superman Ping Pong Toss (they won gold fish if it made in the fish bowl), Captain America Balloon Bust. This allowed the party guests to move around and have lots of fun. Each child got tickets after playing each game and were able to buy prizes from the prize table. How cool is that?! We also had a face painter who painted superhero logos on everyone’s faces. The Decor: Our centerpieces consisted of clear containers I bought from Target and filled with colored shredded paper that were the colors of the heroes. There were also some that were full of colored bubble gum balls from Party City (red and black for Spiderman, green and purple for the Hulk, yellow and black for Batman, white and black for Thor, red and blue for Captain American and red and yellow Superman.) To add a little height, the containers also had the colored balloons attached to the tops. The bright colors were awesome!!! The walls were covered with black plastic table cloths on a roll from Party City. Black linen table cloths from Linen Table Cloth were on the tables. Backdrop Picture for the sweets table was bought from my favorite store Hobby Lobby, of course. I got the Letters for Tre’s Name From Hobby Lobby and Spray Painted them black for his gift table. There was a Super Hero Photo Back Drop that My daughter, Molyia, Myself, and Tre, as well as our guests took several pictures in front of. The guests chose one of the capes that I bought from two Esty Stores.
The Favors: Each little super hero received a treat bucket with Tre’s Super Soda, regular soda bottles with custom super hero labels on them from Lavish Parties and Prints by Talia, stickers, bubbles and super hero cups. The buckets were for the kids to put treats from the table in, as well as the items they bought with their tickets. The Food: For Food we served Super Subs of course, Chips and Batman Wings We also had Super Hero Names on the disposable Cups with lids and colorful striped straws.
Hero Rice Krispy Treats. I was super excited when they arrived for the party! They where drizzled with white chocolate and had super hero logos on them. My favorite dessert is cake pops! I love, love, love, and use them on every table I style. These cake pops also had all of the super heroes on them. They were displayed in a base made by my favorite cake pop artist, Ronya’s Cake Pops and Sweet Treats. Ronya also made my second favorite treat, the Carmel Twisted Chocolate Covered Pretzels!These pretzel were the hit of the party! The colors on these pretzels were so vibrant, she did a super job!!! Ronya also made The Super Hero Six Chocolate Covered Oreos with Happy 6th Birthday Tre on them, complete with the Super Hero’s in the middle of them. Finally, the cookie bouquet from Valerie’s Customized Cookie Bouquet Creation’s. they were customized with Tre’s name, the number 6, all of the super heroes, sound they make (POW!) and their symbols. The Kids loved it! And, Valerie is amazing to work with.
The Dessert Table: Tre had A Super Huge Strawberry Cupcake that was made by Crème de le Crème Cake Tre’s Super Hero Six Candy Table was full of colorful candy, such as Laffy Taffy, colorful bubble gum, Blow Pops, Ring Pops, Tootie Fruities, rock candy, Twizzlers and Now & Laters. The Super Sweets Table had a Super Hero Six faux Cake that was three tiers. It had all of the super heroes on it. The cake was so colorful and the focal point of the table, we also served miniature cupcakes for the kids and larger ones for the adults instead of a real cake. It was so much more cost effective. The miniature cupcakes were topped with colorful buttercream icing, while the full sized cupcakes were topped with fondant toppers of each super hero. They looked amazing! o you have a tech-loving kid or a tot who likes to tinker with things? A robot themed party is the perfect way to celebrate their big day! You can recreate everything from this party easily and without spending huge bucks. I created this party table using printables that I designed based on a vintage robot wind-up toy. I pulled in colors like greys, aqua and red and incorporated nuts and bolts with a nod to space-age fun into the overall theme. If you want to incorporate a sweets table that won’t break the bank, try using store bought sweets and presenting them in unique ways. I purchased my cupcakes from the grocery store bakery and added red rock candy instead of basic sprinkles. Each cupcake was dressed up with a custom topper and wrapper to match my theme and placed on top of inverted aluminum cupcake pans, that I used as a stand. Working with a moderate budget? Try doing semi-homemade sweets for your robot party table! My favorite trick for ‘cake pops’ is to use doughnut holes and dip them in melting chocolates. Place your treats on a small chalkboard with scientific diagrams on them. You can also make use of other sweets like mini doughnuts and dress them up on a platter filled with candy. For a fun take on nuts and bolts, I filled a tin canister with Twizzlers bites and placed blueberry flavored licorice ‘wire’ into a glittery cardboard container that I decorated to look like a robot head. Printables can get an upgrade when you add a bit of embellishment to them. For this party, I used red glitter paper to make a paper rosette and attached a party dot to the center and then glued each rosette to a party hat. I also mixed my printables with a few handmade items. Robot favor boxes were made using my Cricut machine! Each box was filled with candy and decorated topped with shredded paper to match the color scheme. Looking for a fun activity for your robot party? Little guests can make

Braeden’s Pizzeria by: 4 Kids Cakes
E
very great party starts with a fun invitation. We had Swish Printables create our set for us. We had them include an invitation, backdrop poster, food tent cards, water bottle wraps, straw flags, silverware wraps, and pendant flag decor. What better way to gather friends together than a pizza making party? Using fresh ingredients from the local market & cute products from a few fun party companies, it was easy to pull together! The kids started at the photo booth, playing with props from Little Retreats. I used a photo booth back drop from Kate Aspen and added the circle garland by Tutus & Bowties. They had a blast being silly & goofy, like most tweens would. The girls wore cute bracelets & rings from an up and coming new designer, Stohnage. For the table setting, a checkered table runner by Ruffled Pretties fit the pizzeria theme. I added risers from Banner Events & we were all set. Simple was key - my son wanted it casual without having to get up and down to get his food - um, can we say picky much? Ha! Topping choices were put in the most adorable bowls from Tutus & Bowties with chalkboard labels that I could customize to my ingredients for the party. The menu Swish Printables made was adorable in a frame I had around the house. (Don’t be afraid to borrow from other rooms around your house for your parties!) Cups, plates, mustache stir sticks, & wax mustaches from Oriental Trading totally tied the party together. (I was given this product, not paid to promote it in any way). Now for the fun part. I absolutely LOVE finding new ways to use an existing product. The most important part of this party was to give the kids the chance to make their OWN individual pizza’s. Wilton now has these new pans that come in a set of 5. They are in the baking isle as their intended use was to make layered rainbow cakes easier......I totally don’t doubt that, being that I LOVE MAKING CAKES, but I used them for the mini pizza’s. It was GENIUS if I do say so myself. I found the most UH-Mazing home made pizza dough recipe EVER. There is this yummy
blog that I follow, here is the link to the recipe: Laurens Latest Fail Proof Pizza Dough. Massive props to Lauren! But we couldn’t stop there. We had to take their pizza’s to a whole new level! What would make these pizza’s even cooler? Remember the photo booth? Well, how about we put those pictures on the pizza? Yup - I said it! Ink Edibles has a new product that prints edible ink onto parmesan cheese! Crazy, right? Nope, it’s true! So we cut out those cute faces and put them onto
their pizza’s and popped them into the oven for 8 minutes at 425 degrees F. (My smoke alarms don’t like my oven hotter than that). That seemed to be the magic number for us with these small pans. Side note kids finger tips will make the cheese images tear while warm.....they just couldn’t help themselves and had to “feel for themselves”..... We made a few - we found you definitely need to put the pictures on before you put the pizza’s in the oven, not after...they don’t melt enough if you wait. After trying a few times, we found that it was best to get the pizza’s baking for 4 minutes, then pull them out real quick and put the pictures on them, and they had ample time to melt just right for the remaining 4 minutes. Below was our first try. Either way, the kids didn’t seem to care - they had a blast!

I found them searching by the colors of my party on their website. My kids LOVED these & begged for more when they were gone....I mean who wouldn’t it’s pure sugar. YUM. re you a Walking Dead fan? I have to be honest, I didn’t start out being a fan, but I wanted to know what my son was watching and be an involved parent. Over the past two years, the show has grown on me, and my husband, son, and I all look forward to each new episode. Knowing the new season was still weeks away, the guys and I decided to host a Walking Dead viewing party. We found an AMAZING, and completely spooky location for our party….there is a vacant warehouse near my home, and we knew it would be perfect for a Walking Dead Party! We just brought food, a saw horse table, some decor, a TV, and a generator. We had our party around dusk, so it was just dark enough to be creepy, but not so dark it would be scary. We served light snacks, and had popcorn and chips (not shown) on another table. We wanted to keep the food as Zombie Apocalypse-esque as possible, so we served canned foods, and grilled chicken on wooden arrows. We also had jello brains and fingers, fresh fruit, “blood splattered” cupakes with zombie toppers, and Carol’s Cookies from the most recent episode. We had bottled water and Diet Coke to drink, referencing several episodes. Instead of cake plates and fancy dishes, food was served on caned food, even a can of Carl’s famous 120oz of chocolate pudding. This was such a fun party! Here at Banner Events, we are huge Halloween fans! Planning a Wickedly Sweet Witch inspired Halloween Party was a dream come true. Conjuring up a mix of cute and creepy decorations, sweet & scary treats and spellbinding favors was so much fun! We hope you find delight from the spooky festivities captured by the talented Karina Rigtrup of A Fresh Take Photography. PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for: - Custom couture witch tutus, appliqued shirts and fascinator style hats for little witches - Oversized witch silhouette backdrop centerpiece - Witch broom candy kabobs - Gorgeous ruffled cake with edible chocolate topper and flower accents - Bottled creepy treats like “eerie eyeballs”, “bat droppings” and “magic worms” - Spooky forest and skull inspired poison apples & ghoulish Halloween cake pops - Bewitching Halloween tablescape including potion bottle beverage glasses & spider leg cupcake holders Setting the stage for a wickedly sweet “spell-abration” was easy using a new “Wicked Witch” printable invitation and party collection from Anders Ruff Custom Designs. We incorporated several elements inspired from the printable designs into our soiree! Some of our favorite inspired design items included the haunted ghost trees, faux bois backdrop, classic Halloween color palette and framed and glittered witch silhouette—a work of art by Ten23 Designs. Brewing up wicked fun started by helping little girls summon their inner “witch”. We accomplished this by helping them dress the part! Adorable witch inspired outfits were created by a talented trio with a few tricks up their sleeves. The gorgeous couture tutus and witch fascinator hats were designed by Atutudes and Cupcake Wishes & Birthday Dreams, respectively. Darling witch applique shirts were designed and personalized with each girl’s name by GreatStitch. Our little witches were then treated to “toad”ally sweet makeovers, including makeup and curls from my tal-
ented hair and makeup stylist friend, Ashley Parrish. With their boo-tiful new looks, our witches were ready to sit down for a spell and partake of the wickedly sweet dessert table offerings. Designing the dessert table was a highlight for me. Inspired by the gorgeous framed silhouette used in this exquisite Maleficent party by Michelle’s Party-Plan-It, I asked Lauren of Ten23 Designs to create a similar backdrop focal piece using the signature witch from Anders Ruff ’s wicked witch designs. Lauren’s work always impresses and made a striking centerpiece for our backdrop. I hunted for true faux bois fabric to use for my display, but didn’t find anything locally, so opted for something similar with the grey zebra fabric. It brought in a little bit of that creepy feel. Because I wanted to mix a little bit of glam with the creepy, I used my much loved ruffle tablecloth by Candy Crush and spooked it up a bit with some creepy cloth from Oriental Trading Company. Oriental Trading was my go-to source for most of the Halloween themed props and décor items used throughout this “spell-abration”. To reinforce the “wicked” theme, I hung a cute banner from the Anders Ruff collection. I DIY’d the paper rosettes which backed each letter to tie in more of the bright green color.
The tabletop was costumed for the party in a variety of spooky décor. I adore the haunted ghost trees (OTC), which even lit up using LED technology. We embellished glass bottles and added black candles, threw in some plastic rodents and feathered crows (both from The Dollar Tree). Tantalizing treats topped the table and were enjoyed amid cackles by our sweet little coven. Choosing a favorite proved difficult, as each had magical qualities enjoyed by guests. There were scrumptious “cauldron cake pops” masterfully crafted by Vypassetti Cake Pops
and gorgeously decorated “poison apples” by Roni’s Sugar Creations. Notice those beautiful silver trinket box stands? Those are from Maison du Bonbon. We loved how Roni took inspiration from the printable invitation and incorporated the haunted tree and owl on the caramel apples. To add a little creepy to our dessert table, rodent lollipops from Oriental Trading Company were displayed in glassware we filled with dried green lentils. Printable flags and food labels added a pop of color and helped guests identify the ghoulish delights Christina of 4 Kids Cakes has long been my cake designer of choice. She produced the impressive black and white ruffle cake, adding sweet fondant flowers and an edible chocolate topper to really wow guests and complete the look of the dessert table. She also baked up mouthwatering chocolate cupcakes embellished with cute fondant spider and bat toppers by Kima’s Confections. We loved displaying these atop our metal spider cupcake holders. In addition to all of the custom treats, apothecary jars dressed up in printable labels and ribbon provided homes for favorite treats from Oriental Trading. Candy is always popular and we love using it as an inexpensive way to add pops of color throughout our table styling. We carried some of the creepier candy into our neighboring hutch. There were “eerie eyeballs”, “magic worms”, “bat droppings” and even “eye of newt”. A safer alternative for our timid witches was presented in the form of Hershey Kisses embellished with colorful Halloween printables from Anders Ruff ’s collection. Also on display were custom witch and witch broom candy kabobs by Sweets From Heaven, Outlets at Orange. These were by far one of the most sought after treats! I may have seen a hex or two issued to keep other ghouls and goblins from running off with them. Witches dined in style with place settings created from spider web placemats, layered chargers & spooky soiree themed tableware. We loved using Via Blossom’s vintage glass bottles as our potion bottles with purple elixir! We thought they looked especially bewitching with their custom beverage wraps and party flag topped straws from Hoopla Events. Every witch needs a broom, so each place setting included a miniature broom to add that wicked touch. Our table was accented with spider web candelabras and a spell book & skull centerpiece. For party favors, burlap bags were on hand to be filled with small “hocus pocus” magic powder bottles, test tubes full of candy and custom Halloween printable
crayon boxes--so many fun take home items that were definitely too cute to spook! This was definitely one wickedly sweet Halloween “spell-abration” with the cutest witches on the block! reston’s birthday is very close to Halloween, and we wanted to plan a birthday celebration for him that would focus more on his birthday and less on the Holiday, but still wanted to incorporate some seasonal elements. I re-tooled my circus / carnival printables using Halloween colors and we turned it into a Happy Boo-Day costume party for him and his buddies. I could not have pulled this party together without some of my go-to vendors who created custom sugar cookies (Salsa Sweets), glittered apples and caramel apple cake pops for me (Sparkling Sweets Shop). The ghost pops from Sweet Indulgence were just perfect for the sweets table. Cupcakes, cotton candy, candied popcorn and chocolates rounded out the sweets. Halloween Treat Box DIY by ELA Design Co. My name is Erin Amelung and I own a craft business called ELA Design Co. Wanted to share my easy “Halloween Treat Boxes” with you. -First I used the “We R Memory Keepers Popcorn Box Cookie Cutter Die” to make the boxes using orange cardstock. -Second I used my “Jack O’ Lantern” stamp to stamp each one. Any rubber stamp or saying will work. -Next I punched a hole in the sides of each box for ribbon holes. -Assemble the boxes, then attach any ribbon you choose. -Lastly, fill the boxes with candy and you’re all set. hen my little pumpkin Lucy was turning 2, we decided to hold her birthday party at a local farm and pumpkin patch, Thomasson Family Farm in Enumclaw. It is a real working dairy farm that they convert to a pumpkin patch for the fall season. I didn’t want to go with the typical pumpkin patch theme, so I decided to take inspiration from her favorite song Itsy Bitsy Spider and combine the two. The party space is in an old barn. With limited set-up time, I enlisted help from family to do a quick transformation, adding an easy streamer backdrop, balloons, pumpkins and lots of spiders! We served sack lunches for the kids. A dessert treat table featured fall favorites, caramel apple bites, sour pumpkins, pumpkin shaped popcorn bags and donuts. The specialty treats, spider cake pops, mini donuts and glittered candy apples, were from Autumn-Sparkling Sweets Boutique. I opted to keep things simply by purchasing a plain store bought cake, adding a fondant 2 and pumpkins from Candy & Cake Sugar Designs. It was a cold fall morning, but we lucked out with the weather. The kids had a blast playing in the Kids Korral, riding the cow train and most of all in the corn box. My daughter loved this party and has requested her party to be at the pumpkin patch again this year! If you have a little girl with big dreams of being a Superhero when she grows up, then this party is for you. I styled this Girly Superhero Party for my daughter’s 4th birthday. The birthday girl requested that everything be pink, purple and black. The table was set with custom plate-ables from Create Ur Plate, designed by Morsels Party Planning. Printables from Funky Monkey Design added the perfect detail to our milk glass bottles, straws, centerpieces, dessert table and more. Each guest received a superhero mask at their place setting to decorate. Each chair held a satin reversible Superhero cape in either pink/purple or black/silver. My favorite feature of the party, and I’m sure you aren’t surprised, is the fabulous dessert table! We superpower popcorn and various pink and purple candy. These sweetly perfect cookies are from Auntie Bea’s Bakery. They were delicious and beautiful, perfectly matching our theme. We created the custom name letters for the birthday girl inspired by all of her favorite superheroes. The centerpiece to the dessert table was a three tier pink, purple and black Superhero cake. The first tier designed to look like the city at night, the second tier inspired by Spiderman who is the birthday girl’s favorite Superhero. The third tier featured a Super K logo and the cake was topped off with a custom cake topper by Pink Poppy Party Shoppe, designed to look like the birthday girl. The backdrop of the dessert table was a simple diy project of a city skyline with buildings. These buildings were also used as an activity for the kids, as they enjoyed putting their capes on and breaking through them like superheroes!

he inspiration for the Silly Turkey Printable Party Theme is from my son, Austin. He enjoys silly characters that keep him entertained. I gave the Silly Turkey wonky eyes and festive fall colors for that eye catching appeal. I had Sister Teresa’s Custom Cookies bake and decorate sugar cookies to coordinate. This printable party set is perfect for children of all ages and a super fun way to celebrate Turkey Day!
