Letter from the Editor I
recently had the opportunity to attend SNAPConf in SLC, Utah. It is an awesome conference for creative bloggers. Prior to the conference, the founder asked the attendees if anyone needed help with their elevator speech. I definitely needed help...it is so hard to know what to say to sell yourself and your brand to a company you want to work with, and be memorable without being memorable for the wrong reason. Tauni checked out my blog, and noticed I really didn’t share a lot of about myself. After I answered a few questions, she sent me an amazing elevator speech...I really don’t share a lot about myself or my family, but with Tauni’s encouragement, I am going to share it here, and on the blog. You could say my blogging journey is a little bit Erin Brockovich, a whole lot creative mom. Life took a crazy turn with the birth of my third child, who had so many health issues we weren’t sure if he’d live. Eventually he and his younger brother were both diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that mimics disease found in Asian children exposed to Agent Orange. We believe ground water tainted by a chemical testing facility near our home is likely to blame. I wasn’t about to let health challenges get in the way of CELEBRATING life with my children and started planning fairly elaborate, themed events in the security of my home. Today I am an established party blogger looking to partner with brands on budget-friendly, DIY home celebrations.

Fiesta

hese girls love to fiesta like there’s no mañana…and who doesn’t love a fiesta? Just the word brings thoughts of warm days, cool drinks, tasty food and the possibility of a spicy good time. It’s a versatile theme that can be fun for any occasion: a girl’s night in, a Cinco de Mayo get together and so much more. We recently threw a fiesta to remember and it was a blast! Festive decorations really set the mood for any party, so for our fiesta we used brightly colored Papel Picado buntings, which also doubled as placemats when cut into sections. Mexican fabric napkins were also used to bring color and texture into the room. Small potted cactus and succulents were placed around the space to bring in earthy elements into our design.
When guests arrived they were invited to create their own succulent terrarium to take home with them and enjoy. It really added a great element to the beginning of the festivities and sparked lots of laughter and conversation. Guests were then treated to a delicious naked burrito bar where they could make their own mini naked burrito cups. To wash down those taco bowls we supplied delicious White Melon Sangria. We chose to use a pre-bottled alcohol concentrate from a local brewery in Colorado called Decadent Saint. They make unbelievably tasty sangria concentrate that you simply mix with sparkling water. It’s like a party in your mouth, and we love to support local businesses. Once our guests were full of delicious drink and food we treated them to incredible mini cakes that were almost too pretty to eat. Each mini cake was adorned with flowers, air plants and succulents that were all edible. This really capped off the evening with a special and tasty touch.

Kentucky DerbyParty By: BellaGrey Designs
I
n anticipation of the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports,” I’m off to the races with the running of the Kentucky Derby next week.
The Kentucky Derby is an event rich in tradition and exudes grace, beauty and Southern charm. It’s hard not to be inspired by this race. From the spectators attire, the parties, the fabulous food and drinks to the excitement and cheers from the fans as the horses round the final turn towards the finish line. Those are only a few reasons as to way I wanted to create a styled party shoot. I kept the invitation simple with a vintage black and white stripe. Each cupcake was surrounded with gold spray painted horseshoes. Like the jockeys who run the race, no two horseshoes were alike. The large fabulous hats were captured in the straw embellishments, for each Mint Julep cup. We even included some real Kentucky Derby glassware for our party. Growing in Love: Mother’s Day Lunch By: My Thrifty Sister
I
remember my Mom saying, “You’re growing like weeds!” Which, I think, was a good thing! I can’t think about Mom without thinking how much she loves us, and how much she helped me growing up and even forcing me to eat my vegetables. We had a deal that I had to eat at least one vegetable, I’m pretty sure I chose corn. So, when it is time to celebrate Mom, why not give her something from the garden. I had every intention of celebrating Mom in our backyard garden, but Mother Nature had better plans. So, I quickly moved our party indoors, and changed up the decor little! Indoors or out, this is a fantastic way to celebrate Mom! Our celebration was full of simple DIY elements, from handmade berry boxes for the salad to the rock garden, and baguette bowls! Of course you need to have a sweet treat at a party, so I made sweet little flower cupcakes. These small DIY projects added a personal touch that everyone loved, especially Mom! Salad Berry Box With a 12inch square piece of card stock, I made my own berry boxes for the salad I cut off a 4� square from each corner and folded into a square box and tied with ribbon.
Rock Garden My garden rocks could be used for table cloth weights or just fun decoration for your garden after the meal. I painted a simple vegetable and outlined it with white. You could even put one at each place setting
Carrot Service Ware I used my orange napkin wrapped green tableware tied with a green ribbon to give you the carrot look.
Bagette Bowls I think my favorite pinterest idea was making little vegetable bagette bowls. Â Cut the bread with a slant and flat base. Simply tear out the center of the bagette to make room for sliced vegetables.
Flower Cupcakes I made my cupcakes inside little terra cotta pots, frosted and crumbled oreos for my dirt. With just a few cuts on a slice of carrot and ½ slice of cucumber it becomes a cute flower. Just slide them together with a toothpick and right into the cupcake.

hat do you have planned for Mother’ Day? No need to panic if you haven’t thought of anything yet. Typically, us moms don’t need much to make us happy when it comes to our families. A great way to spoil the mom in your life, whether it be your mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, Aunt or friend, is to host a simple brunch.
Start by deciding who will be invited, will it only be for your family or will you include other moms in your life? Our pretty placeholders for each guest is a delicate touch for this brunch. Set a simple but beautiful table to welcome your guests. I styled my table using my late grandmother’s depression glasses, I love how they matched the colors perfectly. And I pulled out the silver utensils and pitcher. Added a few Pink Peonies, because I love the fullness and color of the blooms and they are one of my favorite flowers. Most moms love flowers, am I right? Decide upon the menu. It can be super simple as a self-serve waffle bar or more extravagant like our sit down menu. Spoil mom with a mini gift for her to unwrap at the table, include one of our beautiful favor tags as the perfect touch. Don’t forget a little sweet something for your guests. After brunch, allow mom to do something she enjoys whether it is a little shopping or a mani-pedi. After all, it is her day! Happy Mother’s Day! Holy Communion By: Everyday Party Magazine
M
y boys have grown up going to church faithfully each Wednesday night. We are not as faithful about Sunday morning services, but when they reached the age to take confirmation classes and have their first Holy Communion, I allowed them to make the decision to become a member of our church. Our oldest son waited until he was in 7th grade, and our two middle boys chose to be confirmed this year, in 5th and 6th grade. I wanted to celebrate the boys decision to become members of the church. I worked with Tiny Prints to edit their Impeccable Honor Graduation line to fit our needs. I wasn’t thrilled with a lot of the Confirmation and Communion invitations I saw online, but I LOVED the Impeccable Honor Graduation line. Editing the printables to fit our needs was a cinch. I also ordered custom napkins with a cross on them, and gorgeous acrylic blocks with a photo of the boys and their confirmation Bible verse. Tiny Prints online chat helped so much with editing! Since our celebration was small, with just our family, the boys’ God-parents and a few friends, we served a light brunch, and cake. I styled the dessert and favor table in front of our fireplace. I made a wooden frame and stapled grey fabric to the frame to use as the backdrop. (Like making an artist’s canvas) I swagged a gorgeous blue and silver tassel bunting across the top of the backdrop for a pop of color, and sprinkled large confetti circles on the blue table cloth. The dessert table had a stunning white cake from Sam’s Club as the focal point. I placed the acrylic photo blocks on each side of the cake, with small bouquets of hydrangeas behind them. Large apothecary jars were filled with silver and white Sixlets and gum balls. A silver ice bucket had champagne for mimosas. I purchased silver cake plates, and topped them with the custom beverage napkins, and placed them in front of the ice bucket. Finally, I filled clear favor boxes with more silver Sixlets, and a small chocolate cross. I used small custom stickers to secure the boxes. I am so proud of my boys and their decision to join the church. Our
celebration was absolutely perfect for them! Nautical Bridal Shower By: A Lively Affair
B
orn and raised along the Mid-Atlantic coastline, my love affair with the water and it’s sense of peace and calm, started many moons ago. Inspired by the preppy nautical lifestyle living along the ocean affords, this concept was a natural for a lovely little engagement party along the Lafayette River in Norfolk, Virginia. Sprinkled throughout this shoot are many little maritime details such as Monkey’s Knot placecard holders, Navy blue and white stripes on the runners, cake and cake pops, sailors knots and rope details on stationary and white slat lanterns perfect for candles or adorned with floral arrangements like we did. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, a more perfect location or better vendors to work with. Thanks to all who collaborated! he bright vivid colors of Peacock Feathers and the unique eyespot design strategically placed on each feather draws me in to their elegance, beauty and simplicity. I set out to design a printable party set to showcase all three of these. I found a charming Peacock designed by Clipartland and coordinated the design into a printable party set. I used a local cookie vendor, Sweets on The Side, who made cookies that matched perfectly with the printable party set. All came together beautifully with the Peacock theme. I captured the details by photographing this styled set up and enjoyed every moment of it!

Gem Stone Party By: Bella’s Bakery & Bowtique
O
ur Precious Gem is turning 7! Throwing a party can be easy when you choose a theme that your daughter is crazy about. So when the time came to plan Bella’s party, her love for collecting rocks and gems made for a perfect party theme! Hi, Nicole Ambata here of Bella’s Bakery, and I am so happy to share the gem party I styled for my daughters 7th birthday. The vendors I worked with for the party really helped make my job so easy. Laura from Laura’s Little Party took some fabulous pics to document this sparkly good time. Abigail from Paper and Cake created the coolest marble and gem printables for me that set the tone for the rest of the party. Everyone loved the invitations, favor tags, photo booth props and printable banner. Prior to the party, we had a blast decorating the house. My parents hosted and they have lava rock throughout their house which made a perfect photo booth background. I hung gold garland, paper fans and the BEST diamond shaped piñatas made by Lisa from Hand Crafted Parties. For the tables I used pastel tablecloths and added small rectangle sheets of gold and marble wrapping paper. The flowers I arranged for the centerpieces were displayed in beautiful gold dipped mason jars by Meghann from Always the Occasion. She also sent me these spectacular marbled jars to hold the silverware. They are perfection! I wanted Bella’s party outfit to be amazing so of course I turned to Brenda from Great Stitch for a custom shirt. The colors matched perfectly with her skirt. We gifted Bella with a real piece of amethyst made into a necklace by Erin from Gussied who also made her gold bangle bracelets with gem rocks. She was ready to rock this party!! For the favors I used striped handle bags from Krista at Hoopla Events and filled them with the most addicting candy ever; Candyfetti from Marie at Sweets Indeed. I hid a bag just for myself to munch on after the party. Jen from SugarySweet Cookies sent me some beautifully bright

One of my favorite parts of styling any party is designing the dessert table. I hung diamond cages in a pattern on the wall as the backdrop to this sweet gem table. My tabletop was two toned with a deep purple and a shining gold tablecloth. Marbled cream, white, aqua and purple stands layered the table to hold the yummy desserts! The focal piece on the dessert table was a beautifully marbled cake by The French Confection Co. I made an edible geode cake topper for it and placed the cake on a diamond gold cage. Kennedy’s Surf Club By: Hoopla Events and Banner Events
S
urf ’s up! Catch a birthday wave with us as we wade through the bright and colorful details of this girly surfing birthday party. Planned and styled by Krista of Hoopla Events & Jen of Banner Events for Krista’s daughter’s 6th birthday, the beach-y decorations, totally tubular treats and surfing inspired party favors will have you riding high! Hang ten and check out the surfing birthday party fun as captured by Karina of A Fresh Take Photography. Krista and Jen know the importance of making a splash from the getgo and love setting the stage for an exciting party. Colorful invitations with a bold pattern and bright colors were mailed out to all of the lucky invitees. Anders Ruff Custom Designs personalized the details and even created a coordinating return address label. Driftwood Printing handled all of the printing needs for this party, both large and small format. We love how vibrant the colors are and the quality of the printing. Working with a small “party room” at the local community swimming pool, Jen & Krista worked hard to transform the space into Kennedy’s Surf Club. To set the tone for this surfing birthday party, the main wall became the setup area for the dessert table. An 8’ x 8’ tall bamboo fence (Forever Bamboo) was used as a creative backdrop option to which 6’ tall printable surfboards and a surf club sign were hung with fishing line. A simple white tablecloth was decked out in a sandy brown burlap runner (Koyal Wholesale) and topped with a blue fish net (Party Cheap). Vibrant pennant style bunting (from the Anders Ruff printable collection) was hung from the front of the table. Sand pails full of beach balls (Oriental Trading) littered the floor on each side of the table. Surf and beach inspired treats added the magic touch. The 3-tiered cake masterpiece by 4 Kids Cakes combined sand, sea and surf as well as darling inspiration from the surf party printable collection. Cupcakes, perfect for little hands, were topped with printable logos and wrapped in awesome wave cupcake wrappers (Kiss Me Kate ). Tin containers were stuffed with blue paper shred (Nashville Wraps) and displayed the most adorable shark and beach ball cake pops from Bella’s Bakery . Also by Bella’s Bak-
ery, the darling beach ball chocolate covered Oreos were creatively displayed in mini pails filled with brown sugar sand. Brown sugar sand was layered on white platters and provided the perfect foundation for displaying amazing surfboard and surf inspired cookies by the talented The Sugar Canvas Boutique Bakery . In keeping with the surfing birthday party theme, dining tables were set to coordinate with the dessert table. You’ll notice the repetition of the burlap runners and blue fish net toppers. Krista and Jen added colorful starfish, shells and mini lanterns from Oriental Trading for some additional beach inspired flair. Wood rounds (Koyal Wholesale) provided a weathered platform for colorful centerpieces. The centerpieces were put together from paper pails loaded with shred and printable designs attached to bamboo skewers. Place settings were personalized with cute custom party logos on plates, bright beverage labels on the orange soda bottles and darling printable party flags attached to paper straws (Hoopla Events). Bold colored plates were layered with orange napkins. Our very favorite element of the place settings were the adorable surfboard utensil holders! These were created for displaying wooden cutlery from Koyal Wholesale. To make the surf club room more cozy, Krista and Jen set up a surfing birthday party lounge area. Using throw pillows and an art canvas customized using party printable designs, a bench was spruced up for stylish seating. Small palm trees, beach balls, a cabana striped towel and printable surf boards completed the look. More for convenience than cuteness, a tiki bar area was styled to display some of the healthier snack options. An enlarged surfboard poster provided the backdrop. Wooden stands were littered with mini pails filled with fresh fruit. Lidded containers with fresh veggies and ranch dip were also neatly displayed. Individually packaged gable boxes (Hoopla Events) were embellished with custom “Snack Attack” labels. Each box was filled with all sorts of yummy munchies, each individually bagged and tagged with a cute label. Our personal favorite was the “shark bait”-- a package of gold fish crackers. The main meal consisted of “hang ten” ham sandwiches, packaged up in food paper and labeled with a custom label.
Guests didn’t go home empty handed. Each received a cute beach pail with all sorts of fun prizes from Oriental Trading. There were mini beach balls, sunglasses, bubble wands, surfboard lollipops, gum and bracelets. Total score! Each was tied up with a custom tag from Anders Ruff that said, “Thank you for catching a birthday wave with me.” Now that the party is over, Krista and her daughter Kennedy look forward to sending off theme and color coordinating thank you notes to all of the guests who made this surfing birthday party so much fun! Father’s Day Celebration By: Ritzy Parties, Inc.
This Father’s Day celebration brings friends and family to the table to share a tasty spread of one of Dad’s all-time favorites, cheeseburgers and fries, with all the fixings. Fresh fruit platters, classic Coca Cola in bottles, and delicious desserts, made with help from the children, add an extra sweet touch. Craft store letters adorned with silk flowers in a palette of primary colors add a bright and cheery element to the décor; and a creatively handcrafted banner, made from up-cycled neckties, adds a fun spin on the Father’s Day theme. Platters of delicious summertime favorites really pop against the boldly patterned tablecloth. The watermelon and strawberries are especially vibrant against the navy blue color of the linen. Succulents planted in vintage kitchen accessories contribute to the color scheme, as well as the classic look and feel of this party, and a dapper fox figurine in a jacket and tie makes a cute and unexpected accent. Of course, the food is the true centerpiece of almost any party, and this one is no exception. Juicy cheeseburgers were grilled to perfection, and served with crisp, golden fries, a platter of fresh vegetable add-ons, fruit, and grilled sweet corn on the cob. Cupcakes and truffles were decorated with the help of small hands. The children were delighted to add their own special touch, rainbow sprinkles and chocolate jimmies. e love to style parties here at Printable Parties to Go! Being from Oklahoma it was only natural that we design and style a printable party set Western Sheriff Themed. After planning the details we immediately started planning away for a style set and printables. We asked Cupcake With Character to custom make us the red bandana table cover. With our primary focus on a Western Sheriff Theme we knew we needed a western look with different shades of red, blue and brown. We designed coordinating printables with a western theme using a Horseshoe, Sheriff Star and Bandana Print for the set up. Sweets from Heaven worked their magic on the fun and creative Cactus Candy Favors. Baked in Moore did a fantastic job on Sheriff Star fondant cake, as well as the coordinating fondant Sheriff Star Cupcake Toppers, Painting Paris Pink contributed party paper straws, Tutus & Bowties created the cutest cut outs we used for a dainty garland, Always the Occasion created a decorative mason jars, The Baker Girls designed western themed cookies and Great Stitch monogrammed a custom t-shirt for our little model Gavin. Everything coordinated perfectly and came together nicely with the Western Sheriff Theme. We photographed and captured all the details of the set up and items from these wonderful vendors that also included items from one of our favorite places to shop; Hobby Lobby! It was a fun party set up to plan and style!

Sweet Land of Liberty By: Sweet Jelly Parties
I
was so excited to host a 4th of July party because I’ve never hosted one before. We usually just go to a friend’s party or the community parade and then watch fireworks from the lake by our house. I knew right away I wanted to do a traditional red, white & blue BBQ and I wanted to pay tribute to the brave soldiers that have fought for our country. So many members of my family have served in our military fighting for their lives and I’m so proud of all of them. Every month the college by us puts on a vintage flea market which I never miss. The last time I was there I was able to pick up an old ironing board, a large flag inspired scarf and a hand embroidered “Drinks” banner all of which made up my drink station. Adults drank tea, lemonade and punch in mason jar glasses and the kids used their patriotic colored cups. Water bottles with custom labels and some all American Pepsi Cola in the vintage bottles finished off the drinks. For the food table I put together a gourmet burger bar; offering Angus and turkey burgers with your choice of different toppings and condiments. We served up some cheddar brats and hot dogs for the kids and I made my mom’s famous homemade macaroni salad. I put together a fruit salad using only red & blue fruit and pre portioned some out for the kids into snack cups. Baked beans were served in small mason jars with their lids decorated for the occasion and individual servings of bbq chips were set out in bags to make them easy to grab and go. I decided to host the BBQ at a local park because I wanted lots of room for all the kids to run and play. I took full advantage of all that space and put together tons of activities for everyone to play. We had patriotic stickers and bubbles to keep the little ones busy, a tin can toss, sack races, wagon rides, tug of war and a pretty awesome tic tac toe lawn game. I brought our tree swing from home and hung it next to the sitting area for anyone who needed a break from all the fun. If that wasn’t enough all the kids gathered up for a pie eating contest and took down some mini pies in record time.
Speaking of pie there is nothing more American to me than pie on the 4th of July. Apple pie to be exact and honestly I’ve l never baked one before so I wanted to give it a go. It was delicious and I even made a cherry pie to match. Those set the feel for my “Sweet Land of Liberty” dessert table. As fun as it was making the pies I decided to leave the rest up to the professionals. Taylor with Berries & Blush Cake Studio put together some fun pinwheel cupcakes, patriotic pretzels, pyramid chocolates and some awesome chocolate covered Oreos. Christina with Creative Little Cookie whipped up some amazing star spangled cookies including the Statue of Liberty herself. I decorated the table with a vintage handkerchief banner I found on etsy and then pulled in some more personal touches. The flag on the table was given to my husband by his grandfather who served in the military when he was his age and the dog tags came from my brother who also served our country for 21 years. I picked up a bag of white, red & black beans from the grocery store and layered them into a jar to add to the vintage feel. Everything was delicious! I had so much fun putting together this star spangled BBQ. I want to say a special thank you to my dad, brother and cousin for allowing me to use a small piece of your military history. I loved being able to bring In such personal touches. Happy Birthday America!! hrowing backyard parties as a family is one of our favorite things to do.
We love to gather up our besties and celebrate all the things...birthdays, holidays and everyday successes. The Fourth of July is extra fun! With invitations, labels for goody bags and matching thank you note cards that I designed for Expressionery, this picnic party is easy for anyone to throw together and create a fantastic celebration. You just need some hot dogs, sweet treats, chips and handmade decorations and ta-da...it’s a PARTY!

Stampy Minecraft Party By: Simply Create

hoosing my daughter’s 7th birthday party theme was easy. I asked her what theme she wanted and she exclaimed “I want a STAMPY party!!”. I knew exactly what she was talking about, as Stampy has become a favorite of the ever popular Minecraft Game, through YouTube videos. I envisioned a “girly” Minecraft with an emphasis on Stampy. To begin with, I surfed the web for anything Stampy and discovered an adorable plastic Stampy toy to use as a cake topper. My daughter just loved the Stampy toy, and we used a picture of her with it for the back of the invites as well as on all the table décor with the wording “I LOVE STAMPY!”. I created a classic Minecraft backdrop, with a pixelated sky and grass scenery. Orange and yellow were the colors for the main table décor, and green and brown were used for the Minecraft guest tables. I painted white mason jars and embellished them with jewel stickers with the number 7. The handmade white fans with an image of Stampy, along with orange tissue paper poms were placed in the mason jars. The children’s tables were decorated with brown tablecloths, green grass,licorice TNT, and balloons; all in a Minecraft fashion. White Favor bags were filled with mini toys, sweets and topped with orange tissue paper. The kids truly enjoyed the Minecraft and Stampy Décor! Bridal Shower By: Tutus and Bowties Events
A
re you dreaming of a chic and stylish bridal shower to celebrate your upcoming nuptials? I am thrilled to share our styled shoot in collaboation with Tiny Prints. It embraces all things girlish and showcases a mature yet upbeat color combination. This design has so many fun glamorous elements. We teamed up with some amazing vendors to style a shoot that is sure to inspire! Nothing says “Let’s get together for some girl time” more than a beautifully designed invitation with brushes of antique gold and confetti. This invitation from Tiny Prints was the inspiration for our unofficial ” Sip Champagne and Celebrate” theme. I fell in love with this non-traditional hue combination of black, brown, and gold. Beautifully hand written challigraphy font and coordinating labels accessorized our mailing envelopes. The design is clean and simple. A champagne colored table runner, black chargers, and gold utensils set the tone for a chic tablescape! To add a personal touch to each setting, I used simple place cards with each guest’s name written in calligraphy. Fancy right? Gold trimmed wine glasses complimented the gold spotted plates perfectly. For the centerpiece, I used a gorgeous arrangement of florals displayed in a geometric embellished gold vase. If you look closely, you will notice a set of gold decor pieces that re-
semble diamonds. How perfect! Everyone knows that engaging games are a must for bridal showers. This one is no exception. A game of “What’s in Your Purse?” was the perfect choice for our theme! For our mini champagne station, I displayed embellished flutes and a few bottles of champagne. I set up a fun tray of hand-painted themed cookies that matched our invitation perfectly. Gold shimmer gumballs were added for a “pop” of color. A DIY “Sip Sip Hooray” sign written in gold calligraphy added a stylish flair to our mini champagne station. We are hoping that you are feeling inspired to call your girlfriends for some much needed time together. This theme can be easily used for a girl’s night in “just because”. Happy sipping! Zebra Surfari Party By: Children’s Party Plus
W
ith summer quickly approaching bright, sunny and warm days are the norm, so expecting to have pool parties as the theme isn’t unusual. Until my client said here is the thing, my daughter is totally obsessed with Zebra and really loves yellow and hot pink. After hearing the birthday girls faves, mom threw one more request into the mix; can we make it a surfer theme? Of course! When thinking of summer I think of bright and vibrant, when thinking of surfing I think boards, sand and fun! My first mission was to start my project planning, first up surf boards had to be made to coordinate with the party theme. The creative energy began to flow and I knew this party needed some unique touches, to really bring the theme to life. So enlisted one of my favorite vendors Christi at Glitter Girls, typically she is known as the “tassel queen” but this party was totally different. Christi and I worked for weeks on developing a look and concept for the party, and the surfer girl on the board was born. The custom handmade centerpieces really set the tone for the party, but things didn’t stop there. I knew the look of the centerpiece would be a great party logo, so we continued creating great ideas. My first thought of favors was the beach, and what would every kid want at the beach? A beach bucket so every party attendee received a beach bucket complete with custom sunscreen, custom chopsticks, sunglasses finished off with fun surf board tag. Yet again, Glitter Girlz blew my mind brining my surfer vision to life with the party tags, and it was the perfect touch to the buckets. The This surfer pool party was unlike others; the kids didn’t just play in the pool, while there is nothing wrong with that, we had to totally shake things up with lots of entertaining elements. Our favorite activity was the photo booth, the kids jumped right in front of the backdrop and started
to take selfies and request more photos. Then the glitter came out for tattoos and all the kids were over the moon with excitement, so many designs and lots of colors! Who wouldn’t want a tattoo that sparkles?! We typically try to have an old school element to each party, and this party was no different. We brought out the giant Jenga and surprised the kids with a dunk tank. I know, I know why a dunk tank at a pool party? My reply is why not!? Of course the most element of any party cannot be missed, the birthday girl wanted a cake with zebra print, sand and surfboard. All of the important elements were put together by Queen’s Sweets and the birthday girl loved it. Of course the dessert table had to have custom decorated cookies, but not just any decorated cookie, a surfboard cookie in sand with chocolate shells and fondant decor! These were a hit and every child said, “COOL!!!” the moment they found out the shells were edible as well. This party was a blast to create and a great way to kick off summer!
