Every week we review the best of what drops through our letterbox and the colossally kind folk who sent them. Join the fun via Things, 11 &13 Bateman’s Row, London, EC2A 3HH. Every week we’re lucky enough to get sent loads of fantastic things from all over the world (as well as a few bits and pieces we pick up ourselves). To make sure they get the credit they deserve, every Saturday we review the best of what drops through our letterbox and the colossally kind folk who sent them, from important tomes to whimsical tea towels.

Every week we invite someone from the creative industries to share a rundown of their five favourite books in the whole ruddy world, which have inspired, excited or educated them. Ever wondered what’s on the bookshelf of some of your favourite creatives? What books they turn to in need of inspiration or reference? Whether they’re a messy Mary or a tidy Tina? Well look no further, because every week we invite someone from the creative industries to share with us not only a rundown of their favourite five books in the whole ruddy world, but also a real-life picture of the shelf on which these esteemed titles live.

Opinion:

We’re all about championing creativity and we’ll never shy away from our bread-and-butter work showcasing the best talents from across the creative disciplines. But we also feel there’s an appetite for a bit more depth and a bit more engagement with issues in and around the creative industries. So our new Opinion: pieces will do just that, but crucially they will also be open for comments from you for a week so you can help us build an argument.
