CALL FOR THE MEDIA TEAM FOR ASK 2014 - INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF EYP-UKRAINE NOVEMBER, 1 - NOVEMBER, 9 Dear All, The International Forum of the European Youth Parliament-Ukraine “Agora on Security Kyiv” (a.k.a. ASK 2014), will be held between 1st and 9th November 2014 in Kyiv and will focus on international and European security under the umbrella topic: Re:think security policy and hack old paradigms. We are now delighted to launch an open call for 10 Journalists and 1 Video Manager, who will help the forum Media Coordinators in covering the media aspects of the event. The event is organised in cooperation with the Berlin-based Schwarzkopf Foundation, the international umbrella organisation of the European Youth Parliament (EYP). ASK 2014 is financially supported by the Council of Europe’s European Youth Foundation and the German Federal Foreign Office. The Agora on Security Kyiv 2014 will provide an open forum that will allow the participants to analyse sofar political patterns to ensure security, understand their flaws and advantages and see and develop future strategies for security collaboration. ASK aims at leaving an impact to its participants and beyond. Breaking with old patterns, its final results will have a more strategic approach, trying to envision security from various perspectives. The ASK Media Team will be involved in providing media coverage of the event for internal and external audience, producing various media products, such as articles, press-releases, videos, blogs, interviews, infographics etc. The presence of journalists of different origin, professional backgrounds and experience will be one of the indispensable ingredients to ensure the highest quality and creativity of Media Team products, which won’t only mirror the principal aspects of the forum itself, but will also give some food for thoughts for national and international media outlets. The Video Manager will have the primary role of developing the communication in the digital field. His activity won’t be limited to the video editing: he will share his knowledge with the other members of the Media Team, privileging and favouring the reciprocal growth.
