Meet the Head of Jury
j
Vision Even if overlooked many times, the Jury has a fundamental role in the session both when it comes to creating a good working environment in the oicials' team. The work of the jury goes beyond evaluating delegates on their performance, it should consider the dierent talents people have and help them in developing even further. Being able to discern the dierent qualities delegates can show, without focussing on one lone aspect of their involvement, is the best way to give all of them a fair chance. This means being attentive and passively listen to discussions while actively trying to see what assets every person brings to their committee, their behaviour and how engaged they are not only in the topic but in the whole event. Being in the Jury means being able to balance individual attitudes with knowledge and communication skills. In our jurors-to-be, we are looking for a commitment to mastery. When every member of the team is committed to growth, this not only creates an awesome working atmosphere, but it constantly brings new information to the team which assists creative problem-solving and ideas. Moreover, you should communicate constructively, function as an active participant, share openly and willingly, cooperate and pitch in help, exhibit flexibility, and treat others in a supportive and respectful manner.
