EYP WEEKENDS VISION BOOKLET
Andriy Kashyrskyy Head Organiser of EYP Weekend in Lviv 23.03.19 - 24.03.19
It is my pleasure to have been given the opportunity to head-organise the EYP Weekend in Lviv. With that being said, it is my greatest honor to present you the vision I have been working on. I strongly believe that the first impression about EYP is a very essential one for everyone, which indeed contributes to the future involvement in EYP. By creating a safe, well-prepared environment for both delegates and officials we will be able to ensure the best representation of EYP for everyone, as well as create a perfect atmosphere for selfdevelopment of everyone involved. My idea for EYP Weekend in Lviv in terms of organising will be concentrated around such elements as cultural diversity, non-formal education and personal growth. Firstly, I want to emphasize the idea of cultural diversity. Lviv is a very unique city in Ukraine in terms of culture, having so-called melting pot over the centuries, which greatly shaped its architecture, with a unique combination of Western and Eastern cultures. By this I mean that I want to create an environment which is going to reflect this diversity, being different from traditional daily schooling in Ukraine. Secondly, I intend to take into consideration the personal growth of participants, from our side by providing them with a perfect space for it. Where they will be able to easily get any kind of support they need, where they can fulfill their dreams and goals. Thirdly, I plan to focus on having a safe well-prepared environment, where the atmosphere of something a lot more than traditional education can evolve in the eyes of the delegates. I’m looking for 4 bright individuals who are willing to put their own efforts into widening the coverage of EYP in our local communities in Western Ukraine, sharing the mission of EYP among high school and university students in Lviv. The preparation and organisation of this event would be an extremely rewarding experience for all of you! Moving on, my perfect organiser would be creative (very open to all the crazy ideas), stress resilient, supportive, problem-solving, and hardworking.
Application Questions 1. Who are you? Get as creative as you can and tell us about yourself! 2. Where do you see yourself in five years? 3. Which department would you like to join? Why? Please feel free to mention any relevant experience you’ve had in any of the following fields. - Fundraising - Public Relations - Human Resources - Venues & Logistics Best of luck applying! Kostiantyn Varvaryk Head Organiser of EYP Weekend in Zhytomyr 06.04.19 - 07.04.19
Zhytomyr is the closest regional centre to Kyiv. But still, it lacks a practical answer to the question: “What is EYP?” The city wants to improve itself, but without active youth’s power it can’t do it perfectly. I really hope that this session will gather such power in Zhytomyr and fill it up with energy and willingness to make this city better. I am really looking forward to being a Head-Organiser of such a promising event! Zhytomyr has several features for which it is one of the dark horse cities in Ukraine: the one and only Space Museum in Ukraine, a picturesque park named after Ivan de Chaudoir, colourful centre with three large squares, churches and cathedrals etc. It’s your chance to visit this city if you have never done this before! But this event won’t be possible without three incredible organisers in my team! It is your chance to improve your organising skills. But, to make this event successful, it would be great if you are hard-working, stress resistant, have a strong urge to do everything perfectly and with the good sense of humour. It would be great if you have experienced the organising process before, but don’t be scared if it’s your first chance to be an organiser. If you are still reading this, why not apply?
Application Questions 1. Which of the positions is the most preferable for you and why? If you have experience in this field, don’t forget to mention it. - Fundraising - Public Relations - Human Resources - Logistics & Supplies 2. Why did you choose EYP Weekend in Zhytomyr? 3. If you are going alone to a city you have never been and you are allowed to choose only one thing between your daily planner, mobile phone and laptop what it would be? Explain your choice.
