I am always trying to search new sources of innovations and cool ideas. It’s my first issue and I tried to make it strict, readable and in the same time colorful like EYP life. During these six months there was a lot of different amazing events. We tried to gather and abbreviate information about the main of them.

EYP it’s something new for me, new creative area. Here, every time I face fun, communication, total support, trust. I see different people from different cities, with different lifestyles but they are full of purposes,energy, enthusiasm and motivation. They know what they want and don’t afraid of challenges, they don’t stay aside. EYPers develop each month, each day, each hour. It doesn’t matter what profession have you chosen, you are now, here, with such a fantastic people. You can easy learn other cultures and have friends from over the world! EYP it’s ocean of opportunities, knowledge’s, experience. In this issue, EYPigeon, you can see a tiny part of EYP life last six month. Our team hope you will enjoy reading! One year of organisation and as the result - 5 days , 120 hours, 7200 minutes of pleasure, various activities, cultural exchange, happiness, gladness... This year National Session held in Lutsk have “United for Peace” 146 participants, 13 Organisers, 8 teams, created 8 meaty resolutions, gathered 40 Officials, represented 16 countries from 11 to 15 of August in Lutsk. For 5 days, Lutsk was full of smiling youngsters who were discussing various topics, brainstorming, teambuilding, chilling out and forgetting to sleep. Hence, we could admit that Lutsk have known the highest concentration of youths potential gathered in one place during only 5 days. One should obviously stress the quality of the organisation which was on a remarkable level. The train Kiev-Lutsk have arrived at 6 o’clock and it was full of EYP-session participants. The organisers made an “call-over” and we were “delivered” coolly to the hotel where the registration was held. And here you go! 10 o’clock – Teambuilding started in the walls of Lutsk castle. The traditional “Eurovillage” as a welcoming stroke have perfectly introduced delicious riches of countries- members of the EU, and was a perfect way to make this session team closer. We can agree that this session journalist crew, sorry, the Media Team was uneclipsed/unbeatable. Let’s take as an example the fact, that they have filmed videos during the session, published the photos the same day, created the paper sounds impressive and professional!
which is not really a common thing for the EYP. As far as we are living in the era of digital news, we have decided that live streaming of the “ongoing” events and gossips during the session would be more rational and interesting to spread though tumblr and to be honest it was a good idea. Every participant had an online access to the actualities and articles 24 to 7. For sure I don’t want to say that the printed issue should be excluded, but it’s getting outdated quite rapidly.
Michael Pytlyk, 9th NSC Jounalist of Media Team has kindly agreed to share his experience: -What was main goal of the media team? Hmmmm, should i be honest or not!? I wouldn’t say that for this particular session we had some unique goal to achieve, it was a standard media team plan - make people happy and leave good memories about the session. I guess that’ the key of the successful media project for every EYPsession. Of course, we had some specific approach, but the goal was one and only- make people happy. -What do you mean by a specific approach? Well, I would say we’ve managed to achieve a really good balance between video materials and text. Moreover, we were quite successful in blogging,
-What was inspiring you? Me personally a glass of wine. But if you are asking about the team in general, I guess that were the participants of the session. While chairs were busy with managing delegates and orgas were busy with organisational aspects, the journalists were observing and enjoying those happy faces that were full of enthusiasm. -What was special about that session? Every session has it’s special moments. I mean the last one was really hot, in the sense of temperature of course! For me personally it was the last session, so it was really a special moment to live. But I guess a special thing in the Media team, was the level of understanding and this special sense of group work and support. We have understood rapidly how to help each other and when, thanks to that “skill”, that you learn by doing sessions, we’ve managed to do a good job and to be honest we have enjoyed it a lot !!!
Remember the Euroconcert? What about Dima Kharchenko and Ksenia Chelmakina touching speeches? What about the Hippie Party in Sky Bar? Do you remember the General Assembly? Not only me was impessed by the enthusiasm of the debates! Can you recollect all your emotions when we had our last dinner together, wasn’t that the first sign towards the PED? That sounds funny, but we have met with some of the participants some weeks after the session has finished. From my side I can admit that the thing that keeps me astonished – the way that EYP, as a NGO, based on volunteering organisation is flourishing and developing, involving new gifted enthusiastic and creative humans in the team and creating a special atmosphere inside. As the result, 18 participants were selected in order to represent Ukraine in the International Sessions in Leipzig, Dublin and Dilijan. The 9th NCS was definitely a success and without any doubt, this year National Session was leaded by the well-known post-EYP depression (#PED on Instagram, Facebook),finished by the traditional Lennons “Imagine” that underlined the atmosphere of this year Peaceful session. What is EYP for me? A chance, an investment in my future, the possibility to participate in the creation of something unique, the way out of the comfort zone towards the world. EYP-Ukraine is open for new delegates. What is special in EYP are people who are involved in. When you see people, like Olya Budinskaya, for her EYP means everything. We are looking forward to the surprises brought by the next session! Stay tuned!

‘The railroad connects a number of cities and countries. It destroys the distance, allowing you to have a pleasant time in a nice company. I always enjoy travelling by train.
InterRail is the same one. It gives an opportunity to find out a lot of new, to make interesting acquaintances, to destroy the distance, uniting incredible young people’ – Valeriya Andrienko, organizer of regional session in Dnipropetrovsk.
Between 16th and 22nd of November about 350 active youngsters from different countries gathered under the umbrella topic of the 5th InterRail Tour of EYP-Ukraine - ‘Dignity without borders’. The aim of this project was to further environment of young people across Ukraine on a regional level. This tour was considered to be a real challenge for Officials teams North, East, Central and South. All of them had two rounds of Regional Sessions: two cities for each team. So let’s have a look at the result of their work TEAM NORTH represented by Adela Iacobov (RO) as a President, Klara Rubiniec (PL) as a Vice-President and Yulia Tsytsyliuk (UA), Angeliki Vasila (CY), Anna Savchenko (UA) and Natia Jokhadze (GE) as chairs visited Chernihiv and Sumy.
“The InterRail Tour of EYP-Ukraine was one of the most exciting and the most challenging projects in my life! The idea is pretty simple: two sessions in a row... But the #PED after is twice as much. I was working on the same topic with 2 different teams of delegates and, frankly speaking, it was totally different experience! The session in Chernihiv was the first session in a row and I have faced a lot of new challenges which I have never had before as a chairperson. I have learnt a lot of new lessons during this session and I tried to improve everything as much as possible during the second session in Sumy. I liked a lot working with young people from different regions of Ukraine who discovered the world of EYP-Ukraine for the first time and I saw them discovering this magic world with its mysterious rules and laws. I am really happy that I was the part of this great project because its two sessions in a row made me grow not only as a chairperson but also as a personality. Every EYPer should join the InterRail Tour at least once at his EYP-life” - Yulia Tsytsyliuk, chairperson of the team North.
TEAM EAST visited Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk. It was represented by Franziska Hulss (DE) as a President, Liv Colell (DE) as a Vice-President and 4 chairs: Nadiia Railko (UA), Tetiana Stadnik (UA), Simon Forsgren (SE) and Viktoria Korniichuk (UA). “EYP session in Dnipropetrovsk was a great chance for me to get engaged in the world of decision makers. Such an event bore helpful fruits: improvement of communication and negotiating skills, work in teams, ability of generating fresh ideas and sharing them with the others. I would also like to thank the staff who organized such an event and made so many people gather together with an eye to reach some desirable results” – Elizaveta Shaban, delegate, Dnipropetrovsk. “InterRail was definitely the most exciting experience of my autumn. Being in that atmosphere of motivated smart young people, English, fun, and debates can give you the opportunity to learn lots of new, so be careful;)” – Alisa
TEAM CENTRAL had two sessions in a row in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhia and was represented
by Bernat Just (ES) as a president, Sophia Chahine (FR) as a Vice-President and Marta Franchuk (UA), Lasha Kvinikadze (GE), Liza Skorobreshchuk (UA) and Michelle Blatter (CH) as chairs.
“Before the session, for me there was only one conventional way of team work, where potential leaders are shining and everyone else stays aside. But this session showed me how totally different people can work together in harmony, without leaving behind even the shyest ones. It still seems like some kind of miracle for me, that such an amazing team can be built in such a short time and create something awesome together. The day of General Assembly was the most emotional one, I guess. Dressed in our official clothes, sitting in fancy chairs at the City Council, where the real politicians usually work, was so inspiring, and it gave us the feeling that we were doing something important, making the world better. And of course we were, even though our resolutions weren't made for governmental purposes. The most important is that we left the session inspired, confident and with a new perspective on life. It was really hard to say goodbye to the teammates, though” – Anastasia Ivanchenko, delegate, Zaporizhya.
And the last but not the least, TEAM SOUTH, spent their time at the sessions in Izmail and Odesa. Team South was represented by Markos Merkouris (HU) as a president, Toni Dirlinger (AT) as a Vice-President, and chairs team: Magnus Berg Sletfjerding (NO), Anna Koryeshkova (UA) Daniil Lubkin (UA) and Christos Zois (GR).
“Well, it was such a cool experience. We spent time discussing problems that are really important and getting to know people from all over the world. It's so nice to know that you can do something and make an impact on our world to make it better. And it was a lot of fun, actually. On the first day we were walking with our organisers and heads of the commities on the most interesting streets of Odessa, sightseeing and eating pizza. And all the next days were filled with effective and productive work. So now I’m looking forward for the spring session :)” – Darya Havruk, delegate, Odesa.
In conclusion I would like to add, that 5th InterRail Tour is really special for me, as thanks to it, I am writing this article right now. Life gives us chances each day, so be careful and do not miss yours!

80th International Session of the European Youth Parliament
Ukrainian deligation abroad First of all, congratulations to the talented and for sure worthy of their places boys and girls who represented Ukraine on that session! I am sure they studied hard and realised all their potential during 10 days spent in Germany. My source told me that ukrainian delegates enjoyed their trip and even made it a bit longer. They decided to make a one-day visit to Drezden before the session and afterwards they went to Berlin. Needless to say that it was a wise plan and an advanterous still best decision. If I were them I am sure to do the same. An International session is a whole new level. The cultural diversity is awesome and the landscape is breathtaken. It seems like all the possibilities are gathered in one place and you cannot waste a second here. Everything was orginised on the best level. Participants felt comfortable and were a bit amazed by the venues, the food was tasy and nutritious and their rooms had everything for them to have a helthy sleep or to work on their speeches. No need to mention a saturated cultural program and a high academic preparation level! Need more reasons to aspire partisipation at the IS? It is an unforgettable experience! On the one hand, you have a unique opportunity to experienc how the session is organised abroad. What they value more, what they do better, where else may the problems arise. If we are serious about our own personal growth, we should also be serious about the concept of learning. We should never stop our insatiable thirst for learning new things and encountering alternative beliefs, cultures, values and experience. If we were to stop doing that, our personal development would stop too. On the other hand, there is a significant personal development. Being abroad with 300 different people speaking different language is quite challenging even though you all communicate in english. As in every country there are different approaches the very first thing you may learn is preparation to the CW and GA. People are wonderful creatures who won't stop to impress you every time you meet someone and there is always something you can be taught or can teach. That is the point (despite solving the global problems and having fun, of course) to exchange the knowlege and share the emotions. Well, guys! You who is reading this now have all the possibilities to become a part of EYP-International. Don't stop working and remain active within EYP. Seะต you soon at the IS;) by Sophia Bilenko
Première Session Régionale Francophone “Notre vie, notre planète, votre responsabilité“
The initiative of making the First Regional Francophone Session of EYPUkraine didn’t appear spontaneously. Particularly in Kiev, the French culture is rather dispersed. Let’s remind the ‘Institut Français” which helps to learn French language and to enter to the French Universities and the French Embassy due to which we celebrate ‘French Spring” (Bojoulais Nouveau). Besides that, you can find some cozy French “boulangeries” on Kiev streets, The French Cinema evenings which is also an appreciated genre in the Capital. Remember Oleg Skrypka who has begun his career with Bono in France and is owns the biggest folk festival in Ukraine? Hence, all of that was used as a booster to organise the First Regional . Considering the fact, that the Parlement Europeen des Jeunes (EYP-France) is one of the very powerful ones in Europe and the most ancient one, this experience was crucial both for Ukrainian participants as the educative role and for frenchies as the discovery of the Capital cultural diversities. Regarding the topic, Europe is making and encouraging a lot of projects that with goal to make the “over-consuming” generation more conscious and responsible. France is actively searching alternative sources of energy giving preference to natural and inexhaustible ones– wind and sun.
I have asked two sides- Ukrainian and French ones to speak about the experience they had during the session: Lisa Skorobeschuk have kindly shared her organising experience with us, here is what she says: Any experience is priceless. The huge experience I have got at the 2nd Francophone Weekend in 2014 was just the appetizer, so I wanted to get the main meal - something bigger and more various than just weekend or just regionals. I went for more. Big dreams need believers to bring them into real life. After Alex Ustymenko has shown his strong desire to develop francophonie in Ukraine, we have started dreaming together and shaping our dream in the real project. Excitement - that is how I would describe the first stage of organisation of the project. As session was coming closer, real issues were appearing. The reality has faced us as a budget, as real HR work, as search of venues in such a big but not always friendly in than aspect Kyiv. On the other hand, while going through all of this we has achieved some both «serious» contacts communications as with French Embassy ones and new partner/ sponsorships. No doubts we have developed our soft and hard skills. Can you imagine how cool my CV will look if I fully described all the skills? A forced and intensive self-development happened too. Different - this word can describe the whole session. Francophone, 4-day, with Eurovillage, Euroconcert, City Tour and Party it has all shaped in not just a session but a conference of a huge scale.
I have had a chance to meet one of the Chairs of the Regional Session during one Forum in Paris, this guy imprisoned me on the GA by his firm background when debating…So I introduce you Michel …The Chair of La Première Session Francophone Régionale, a student of Law Department if the University of Strasbourg. J’ai participé à la Première Session Régionale Francophone du PEJ-Ukraine (#PSRF), qui s’est tenue du 2 au 5 décembre 2015 à Kiev. Je m’y suis rendu en qualité de chair, grâce au Fonds de mobilité du PEJ-France. DAY 1 : Teambulding Cette journée est l’occasion de rencontrer véritablement son équipe de délégués. J’apprécie toujours fortement cette journée, car les délégués nous prennent souvent pour des fous en début de session. Il faut dire que les jeux du Teambulding permettent de se libérer et de ne pas avoir peur du regard des autres au sein d’une commission. Ces jeux sont véritablement utiles pour créer un lien et une cohésion au sein de la commission, et le meilleur moyen de se connaître est avant tout par le divertissement et le rire ! La commission que j’ai tenue (CLIM) a été marquée dès le début de la session par un entrain fulgurant ; une commission dynamique, drôle mais aussi sérieuse.
DAY 2 : Commitee Work La deuxième journée est consacrée au travail autour de la résolution que doivent défendre les membres du comité lors de l’Assemblée Générale. Journée souvent jugée longue, elle ne l’a a pas été plus que ça pour la commission CLIM : avec le tel entrain et la bonne humeur de cette équipe, le travail a été bien réparti entre les différents délégués, grâce auxquels nous avons terminé notre carnet de résolution complet et dans les temps. Pour ensuite se divertir, montrer leur personnalité et leur talents, les délégués ont pris place dans la grande selle pour l’Eurovillage et l’Euroconcert, pendant que le Board et l’équipe des chairs procédaient au typing du carnet de résolution. Danse, chant, musique instrumentale, récits anecdotiques, humour...Du grand sourire jusqu’aux larmes, toutes les émotions nous sont venues lors de notre Euroconcert.
DAY 3 : General Assembly Journée tant attendue par les délégués comme les chairs, la troisième journée est dédiée à l’Assemblée Générale. Nous avons été accueillis dans la mairie de Kiev. Des débats parfois passionnés, certains plus calmes…mais toujours dans la bonne humeur ; ainsi se sont déroulées les défenses des résolutions de notre Assemblée Générale. La session a été clôturée par la chanson « Imagine » de John Lennon, qui a suscité beaucoup d’émotion et a marqué la fin de cette formidable aventure. J’ai été véritablement ravi d’avoir fait partie de cette session. Nous avons à la fois vécu une session formidable et à la fois créé des liens forts. Nous avons visité Kiev grâce aux organisateurs, et avons pu découvrir l’histoire de la ville dans laquelle s’est déroulée notre session. De plus, découvrir comment vit une population d’un pays d’Europe de l’Est a été véritablement enrichissant pour moi. Cette expérience fut pour moi unique et exceptionnelle ! J’ai certes mené une commission durant une session, mais j’y ai reçu et appris énormément en retour. Je ne puis que conseiller une chose à ceux qui me lisent : se lancer comme je l’ai fait, car il est sûr que cette expérience sera loin d’être ma dernière, tant une expérience de ce genre vous enrichit ! by Bohdana Fedun
First Newcomers Weekend On October 17-18 First Newcomers Weekend took place in Kyiv. This event was unique as it took place for the first time in the history of European Youth Parliament – Ukraine. 1st Newcomers Weekend of EYP – Ukraine is a twoday training for new members of the European Youth Parliament – Ukraine, who did not have a chance to attend any EYP event so far or participated only in one event and are not active. There are so many events, trainings, sessions.. Newcomers Weekend called to make acquaintance with all the activities of EYP in general. On this event trainers were explaining structure of EYP, what countries are involved in this organization, what does it mean application form, what it is Session and what kinds of Sessions exist. It’s a great opportunity to get used to the situation, improve English language, practice public speaking, overcome the fears before sessions. Here you can meet with experienced alumni, get new knowledge about EYP and to prepare yourself for future EYP events. We talked with Head-organizer of First Newcomers Weekend – Valery Judina and asked her about her own experience and future plans of Newcomers Weekends It was first of such kind event in the history of EYP-Ukraine. Will be continuation, the next Newcomers Weekends? How do you think, how often should we organize them? We plan to have Newcomers Weekends in four cities (Cherkassy, Lutsk , Sumy and Odessa) as follow up of our four regional sessions. I think it should follow up event after our session to involve newcomers to the activities of our National Committee. What results did you reach with this event? The event proved to be successful , but not in terms of enlargement of community: it was aimed to make members more involved in EYP activities (sessions and department work). We have reached this goal because now some of the people are in departments, others apply for sessions more (we had the module of how to write better application form). by Katerina Lipovka

For EYP such modifications are the annual elections of the Board and Auditing Committee. 10 bright, outstanding, experienced and highly responsible personalities will ensure the headlong development and prosperous future for our beloved organisation. Few words on organisational process: The happy notification was launched 10 days before it all happend promising an opportunity to get acquainted with EYP, obtain membership, listen to the Board Report and witness the breathtaking election debates. Dream-team of 4 brave and enthusiastic persons Victoria Korniichuk and Olia Doroshenko, who organized the event and created the special atmosphere and Yulia Nagirniak and Bogdan Suiunbaiev who were responsible for the beautiful pictures made it all succesfully happen. The biggest co-working space «Data Hub» and hopefully the long-term partner of EYP-Ukraine hosted this valuable event. The wonderful and cosy atmospere helped all the participants to feel themselves great and do their best while presenting their vision and participating in debates. The on time published program helped everyone to be up on what is happening. Good online-connection helped to be in Kiev even those who coldn’t be there.
The elections process: After listening to 17 speaches and went through several round of debates all the participants had one week to vote. Their personal voting codes and link to the election page were sent to them another day and so in a week we had the results.
We do it for purpose! Being in a constant run in search for better opportunities and further development each organisation need restructurisation. Such general assemblies are crucial to the proper functioning of EYP as well as a great opportunity for us to socialize and spread the EYP-spirit! To see the full picture I suggest you looking through the Manifesto booklet 2015 and to get inspired by programs of driven and aimfull people. Each of the candidates had to present their program stating their personal data, relevant experience, motivation and the vision itself. If you read the whole document you may notice that every program has the word “development”. If you look in the dictionary you may find such meaning as “a state in which things are improving” or “improving by expanding or enlarging”. If you put it all together you may find the common motivation. Any ideas so far? Yes, it is development both their soft and hard skills and the functioning of the organization. Another “popular” word is “people”. Well, nothing strange – you cannot avoid socialasing today. Moreover, the world is build of people by people for people and only a human being can change it all. The 2016 Board is sharing the same vision of EYP as one of the key players in the youth community in Ukraine. They value its principles and believe in its positive influence throught the various events by Sophia Bilenko
and by providing new regulations within it. All the changes begins with ourselves which in the context means it shall begin with your team. And a team will be united only having common vision and enough motivation. So, the Board members will not only manage the work of the departments but be the sourse of inspiration and energy for some more people. They also pledged themselves to ensure good communication among departments. They hope to remain authentic while being effective and to recieve a positive powerfull feedback from the participants of the numerouse forthcoming events. They are ready to make a change! We all agree that EYP is changing lives. We all want to see the rapid changes and increasing success. We all contributing to achieve the common goals of raising awarness of European issues, promoting international understanding and, of course, developing personal skills. All in all, we wish good luck to the governing body 2016 of EYP-Ukraine. We believe that they will fulfill their potential and bring the existing standarts to the brand new level. We wish to every and each of you be passionate and creative and never stop on their way.
Opportunities More and more people nowadays are thinking about studying abroad to get well qualified education. There are a lot of reasons for it, but there is a special one for Ukrainian youth. Being more patriotic than previous generations, we want to change the future of our country and solve the problems caused by economic and political crisis. So, while our country is having it’s raw patches, I am pretty sure, that EYPers are the ones, who will use their knowledge as an instrument to fix all the spares and make this mechanism work in a proper way. If you are studying at school and dreaming about living and studying in the USA, you have a perfect opportunity to do this for FREE! Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) is a program for secondary schools in ten countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), funded by the government of the United States. The program offers students scholarships that allow them to travel to the United States to study at the American school for one academic year and live in the American family. FLEX consists of three tours: at 1st tour you are passing an English test, at the 2nd one you are to write 3 essays during 35 minutes, and at the 3rd tour you are having an English test, two more essays, team work and an interview. The selection of the finalists will be based on the complete package of the documents, letters of recommendation from teacher about student’s readiness for year stay in the US as an exchange student. Students also must provide medical documents testifying that their health allow them to participate in the program. Knowledge of English is important, but not the most important criterion.
Another interesting cultural exchange program is Career Training USA. The aim of the program is getting work experience in American companies, improvement of skills and knowledge in the field of probation, familiarity with US business practices and methods of work. Duration of the program is determined by the plan of the internship, which is approved by the host company. Mostly it is 6-18 months. Internships are usually paid (from $ 6 per hour), which compensates for the cost of food and accommodation in the United States. To take part in this program you should be from 20 to 23 years old, have education in the field of the internship (at least two years of training) or experience in this area (not less than two years) and speak English fluently (test can be done through the Internet). Such certificates as TOEFL (computer version - not less than 213 points, the paper version - 550 points), TOEIC (not less than 760 points), SLEP (not less than 50 points) are also suitable.
If you and your dreams are looking at the another side of the world map, there are also some interesting programs for you. In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities. Chinese Government Scholarship programs sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to undertake degree studies (bachelor, master and PhD) and Chinese language study or academic research in institutions of higher education in China. Graduate and non-degree scholarship students can register for either the Chinese-taught program or the Englishtaught program. To study in China you should have up to 2 years of preparatory study, which will help to improve your Chinese and is also covered by Chinese Government Scholarship. The duration of the program depends on the category of the student (senior, general, doctoral etc.) Another great opportunity is Internship in China.
