Call for

President

of Lviv Development Forum 2019

WELCOME WORD FROM THE HEAD ORGANISERS Dear applicant, With this message, a great friendship will start. Should you choose to join us in shaping Lviv IF, you will not only gain an opportunity to partake in a one-of-a-kind experience but also will get our immense support, trust, and empowerment for the upcoming adventure. To us, the significance of this forum is defined not only by its scale but also by the impact it will have on everyone involved. To create that, we are seeking that one missing “gear” that will help us facilitate the implementation of a common vision. That missing piece should be unique yet fitting into our machine of openness and common support that drives its way through discussion and resolution of substantial topics. As a part of a complex mechanism, you need to set a pace that will suit every other gear and will give it just enough space to reach the paramount efficiency level. It requires being open-minded, decisive, trustworthy, and intelligent. If you still have doubts about applying to Lviv Development Forum, here is a cooperation package from the Bilenko sisters. Having compiled a successful application and survived the Skype interview, you will get: • a status of Mr./Ms. President of the session in a cultural and historical gem of Ukraine; • 9+ month of cooperation with a team of unique individuals who are already waiting for you and who will value you so much; • constant support throughout each stage; • 100% truthfulness and loyalty; • straight-forward approach accompanied by honest feedback; • delicious Ukrainian food and an unparalleled cultural experience; • many-many-many (positive) surprises and heartwarming moments; • an HO you can complain about to the other HO (joking, we will find out eventually anyway). Now check the rest of the booklet and start writing your winning application! We wish you the best of luck and a handful of inspiration! On behalf of the organising team, Sofia and Viktoria Bilenko Head Organisers of the Lviv Development Forum 2019 - International Forum of EYP Ukraine

VISION WHERE: Lviv, the gem of Western Ukraine. The city is incredibly close to Europe and has-- over the years-- developed an advanced infrastructure. With cosy, pavestone streets serving as the veins of the city, it is full of history and open-minded people that embellish the city. Having entered the city, one cannot but fall in love with the rich Ukrainian culture, served by every corner of the former Western Ukrainian capital. WHEN: February 7-17, 2019 -- no midterms or work deadlines, the weather is sunny with a light touch of winter frost, nature ready to bloom. MOTTO: O ld city, new traditions. The primary focus of Lviv IF is development. At the forum, we want to go in-depth into the four areas that are most relevant to Europe, namely: Green Economy Green economy is an economy that results in improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities. It can be seen as a means to achieve a resilient economy that provides a better quality of life for all within the ecological limits of the planet. It can be also seen as a means to link the economic, environmental, and social considerations of sustainable development in such a manner that long-term economic development is achieved by investing in environmentally friendly and socially equitable solutions. Nanotechnology Nanotechnology is changing the world and the way we live, creating scientific advances and new products that are smaller, faster, stronger, safer, and more reliable. After about 20 years of steady progress in nanotechnology research and development, scientists keep on exploring exciting new discoveries at the nanoscale every day. It is our turn to start shaping and defining the way we can use them while considering social, economic, legal, environmental, and other aspects.

Legal Secured in 1215 in Magna Charta and divided in 1979 into three generations, fundamental human rights are now shaping and forming relations in the society. The challenge that the international community is facing right now involves defining the legislative level of the third generation human rights. That includes the collective rights on environmental and informational safety. Inceptive fourth generation is now setting a goal to secure the right to autonomy that questions moral, ethical, and religious opinions. IT Fastest-growing and ever-changing, the IT industry constitutes the bottom line for the progress’ direction. At the same time, as computing systems and capabilities continue to expand worldwide, data overload has become an increasingly critical challenge for myriad IT professionals. System and network security issues are a primary concern for many business executives, for any security incident/breach can potentially damage a company’s reputation and trigger hefty losses in revenue.
