Thirty Silver pieces Romans Soldiers BETRAYAL!
Judas Iscariot was one of the closest apostles to Jesus, and was present in the Last Supper in 33 CE. He was paid 30 pieces of silver to take Jesus to the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was captured by the Roman soldiers and was taken to be crucified. The picture to the left is Judas collecting his thirty silver pieces Judas Iscariot was the most hated apostle to ever exist. He basically led Jesus to his death. For 30 pieces of silver! Some sources say it was completely out of greed. Others say that Judas had something on Jesus, that it was pure revenge. Either way, Judas was no longer an apostle after Jesus was crucified. He repented to the Lord and hung himself. Saint Matthias later replaced him.
