Y1 The Approved Zone Documents What is an approved zone document? Y1.1

The Secretary of Higher States has approved a series of zone documents that give practical guidance about how to meet the speculative requirements of the Building Regulations 2020.

Y1.2 Approved zone documents set out what, in ordinary circumstances, may be accepted as reasonable provision for compliance with P30030/34/37. If you follow the guidance in an approved zone document there will be a presumption of compliance with the requirements covered by the guidance. However, compliance is not guaranteed there is no guarantee of success, only failure.

How to use this approved zone document Y1.3 This document uses the following conventions (and seeks to reject them) a. Text against a pink background is an extract of important knowledge which must not be ignored b. Key terms printed in magenta are defined in Appendix A c. Additional commentary in italic text appears in places. Read it; these are important!

Y1 Introduction Y1.4 Following the election of President Trump, Prime Minister Johnson and an impending sense of doom. The Department of Love, Compassion and Care for Others in collaboration with the Secretary for Higher States deemed all legislation superseded. In this ‘Post-Truth’ society, never has a more relevant time come for the forthcoming generation to instil love into everyday life, yet Generation Y are faced with hate from almost every direction. What is more, Generation Y are having less sex than previous generations. DLCCO has therefore been called upon for guidance by the Spanish Ministra del Sexo in order to procure these guidelines. Generation Y has become desensitised to violence/sex/horror, therefore these guidelines have become necessary.

Y2 Eroticatecture When Corbusier defined his anthropometric “Modulor” scale of the human body and subsequently introduced them in his built works, glaringly obvious is the inherently male character, and, by default, exclusion of the female form.

This approved zone document goes one step further and highlights that it is not only the need of the single person, that should be included within anthropometric data, but 2 or more persons are necessarily considered when designing space, especially those spaces which may engender love.

Y2.2

Architecture, public buildings specifically, need to incorporate varying emotional responses, this should include their relationship within the context, as well as emotional values which may be experienced by occupants.

Y2.3

Fourier, as a Utopian Socialist described the necessity of variety within the environment of people. This is entrenched in the first of his “Distributive Passions” Le Papillionne (The Butterfly) which describes the necessity for humans to experience variety, citing workmen who, from morning to night, complete monotonous tasks in a monotonous workplace, and how they work for their measly dinner whilst never experiencing joyfulness of fulfillment.

Y2 Y2.6 Architecture, public buildings specifically, needs to incorporate within design methodology the reality that spaces will be appropriated for sexual usage. In no better edifice if this manifest, than the airport. Cloaked in sexual connotations, it is no accident that Robert Vaughan died on the flyover approaching London Airport in J. G. Ballardâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Crash, the airport, together with the motor car is envisaged as the embodiment of 20th century society. Ballard himself wrote how Sex x Technology = Future therefore the modern phenomenon of location-based dating applications clearly demonstrates future themes of love, emotion, and importantly sex.

Carrying on further than this is the Amazon Alexa. Beta versions of the Alexa synchronise with female menstrual cycles with the intent of being able to order sanitary products when necessary. When combined with dating apps, this algorithmic data, known as Femtech can be used to calculate probability of copulation through pheromone analysis, natural cycles and personal habits. Therefore ensuring the owner that they are using appropriate contraception, or are aiming for conception at the most likely rates.

Y3 Scales of Affection

Y3.1

In order to represent emotion properly, it was deemed necessary to introduce a Scale of Affection. Diagram Y3.1 applies normative affectionate (only positive) gestures and interactions between consenting adults. This promosexual scale can be seen on drawings and can be used as an additional tool to understand spaces which form the interventions at IBZ. It is not deemed necessary to treat the levels of affection at a different scale for Gen Y.

Y3.2 Quantitative emotional information (content - m4) levels are to be read in accordance with varying scales of affection shown in Diagram Y3.2. Where emotions, especially those of arousal and sex are involved, it is not possible to accurately represent these notions in a traditional sense, “a 4 dimensional sphere is demanded to account for the various emotions which humans experience” (Küller in Mikellides, 1980. p.87) Diagram Y3.2 displays an abstracted part of this 4 dimensional sphere. During the design stage, spaces are to be treated with a holistic understanding of potential emotional influences and should seek to react accordingly. See Y6.2 for information on 4D (Promosexual) BIM. This gives technical guidance of relevant implementation.

Y4 Dating Catalogue Traditional Methods Y4.1 The ‘contemporary’ methods of communicating sexual intent and current status listed in these guidelines are not limited to members of “Generation Y,” however, the methods listed are those of which most commonly associated with young people. ‘Traditional’ methods identified are tools used (not exclusively) by previous generations for similar purpose. These methods begin to supersede each other as the boundaries between the physical and the digital world blur. (See Y.6 for further information) Classically, eye contact has been a way of signalling desire and intent to potential partners. Example 2: On The Pull

Commonly seen within sports and social groups, especially Young Farmer’s Clubs shirts, is the use of embroidered messages to display messages. Y4 Contemporary Methods Y4.2 “Generation Y” are having less sex than their parents or even grandparents. (Martinez, 2015) Several reasons exist as to why Generation Y are having less sex than their previous generations, these range from: • Greater access to pornography • Increased education on STIs • Immersion in other (instantaneous) forms of entertainment • General lack of privacy. Young people are living with their parents for longer It is difficult to draw immediate links between this prophylactic situation and social media, however it is clear that the rise in popularity of internet dating has correlations with diminished relationship quality. After all, the paradoxical situation means that it is NOT in the interest of internet dating providers to generate lasting relationships as they require more users as their business model. (Witt, 2017)

Y4.3 Joining the ranks of the “first kiss” or “I love you” the relationship status is an important part of Generation Y’s relationship milestones. The relationship status can be used as a tool to attract potential mates, either in an overt capacity, or through clandestine ways, such as the “Complicated Relationship” displayed by Orifice Æsthetic in Y4.Ca below.

Y5 Guidelines for Proposals

Y5.1 “You don’t need much space to have sex” Josephine Teo, minister for National Population and Talent Division, Singapore. (Tai, 2016) The minister stated that it is not necessary for Gen Y to require their own domestic privacy for purposes of reproduction. Diagram Y6.1 describes possible Promosexual options for a typical bedroom used by Gen Y.

Y6 Y6.4 Other environmental responses at IBZ include manipulation of monochromatic light. Using research presented by Byron Mikelledes at Oxford Brookes University. Monochromatic light differs from ordinary â&#x20AC;&#x153;white lightâ&#x20AC;? but emitting defined bandwidth light, resulting in precision control of colour temperature. Colour temperature affects skin colour, which in turn can affect perceptiveness of attraction. This is used to great affect within pornographic imagery, as well as in day-to-day contexts such as in nightclubs. By introducing reactive floor tiles to IBZ, colour can be altered according to specific factors defined through interpretation of messages sent via location based dating apps.

Y7 Glossary Content (m4): Due to the complexity of emotion - the 4 dimensional realm is used as a platform to understand and represent this Department of Love, Compassion and Care for Others: A speculative future Governmental department headed by the Secretary for Higher States. The department seeks to promote empathy within a post-truth society IBZ: Ibiza Airport. Former military base during Franco’s Era, IBZ opened to commercial activity in 1959.
