Intertextile Shangai Home Textile is a vital for Turkish home textile companies in terms of making business contacts with Far Eastern companies. The event, which 1,321 exhibitors and 39,189 visitors joined in last year, is also a dynamic platform for industry professionals to source and to gain design inspirations through the conveniently structured product displays and the fringe programme. This year Turkey is the largest country after host China in the exhibition this year. Some other Far Eastern and European companies display their products. But important side of the event is contacts between Turkish companies and Chinese buyers and manufacturers.
EDITOR In the last year, Turkish companies which made new business contacts in the event, hope to end the fair satisfiedly this year, too. China is indisputable a large market, but it has also the characteristic of prestigious door that is opened to not only China but all region. Also increase in number of visitors from neighboring countries is important for market diversity policy of Turkish home textile industry.
We, as Turkish home textile industry, want to exist in all markets and get efficiency at maximum level from all markets where we are. Meanwhile as China’s income level rapidly grows, they choose “Made in Turkey” label with its European images and competitive price, so it gives Turkish companies an advantage in the market.

Turkey is a sought after country because of keeping its advantages in terms of branding and putting products with high added value on market. Turkish companies have to attach importance to market diversity in order to achieve the exporting targets. In this regard, China is crucial for the companies that plan to focus on Far East markets.
