These baubles are a quick and easy way to jazz up the Christmas tree but they need not be just for the tree. They look beautiful adorning present boxes and make even better gifts. Last year, I gave my daughter’s teacher one and it was a big hit….of course, I didn’t mention that it only took me ten minutes to whip up.

This quilt is a simple modern Christmas quilt. The entire quilt is made from one simple block and some simple applique. I love to create quilts that are bright and happy and I think that this one really shows that.
Yule Yeti What you will need

Ÿ Printed pattern Ÿ Water soluble pen (available in craft/fabric stores) Ÿ Fabric (for example quilters cotton or linen) Ÿ Embroidery Needle (personally I like John James’ Embroidery Pebble, it holds a nice selection of embroidery needles) Ÿ Embroidery Hoop (a simple wooden 6 inch hoop is fine for this project) Ÿ Embroidery Floss (6 stranded).

I have used DMC floss for this project. Embroidery floss conversion charts can be found on the internet to ‘translate’ my DMC floss numbers to other, major brands of floss. In addition I used: Ÿ Heat ‘n Bond, a fusible webbing, to make an appliqué Ÿ a store-bought kid’s t-shirt Ÿ Old sheets, scraps of fabric and ribbon to sew my own

This Yule Yeti is not abominable at all. He is a friendly snow creature, holding his own mistletoe (or holly if you like). This easy embroidery pattern is perfect to try your hand at embroidery (if you haven’t done any before) and a fun project for older kids as well. More experienced stitchers can complete their Yeti in no-time. It can be used on various Christmas or winter themed projects such as quilt blocks or a quilt label. Yeti will even feel at home in your Christmas tree. I appliquéd Yeti onto a kid’s tee (a so called Yule Ye-Tee) and made a simple but festive Yeti pillowcase using scraps of fabric and a ribbon.
