SUNDAY

FCE staff spends today in fasting and prayer. Ask God to help our weakness: for we do not know how to pray as we should. May the Spirit Himself intercede for us. (Rom. 8:26).

Thank the Lord for the visas that were issued to all our Hospitality training students which enables them to continue with their in-service training while in South Africa. The Lord intervened supernaturally and we honour His name.

FRIDAY

There has been an increase in sickness at Koti ni Eden and the CTC - from coughs, infections, stomach pains due to hunger and malaria. For every person down with malaria a gap is left - whether be in the school, office, outreach events.

On Tuesdays the first year college students visit Ibenga village where they are involved in Children’s Ministry. They attend to almost a 100 children, from very small to age 13 years. Pray that their testimonies will draw these young children unto Christ.

Praise the Lord for the sponsor from Australia that enables our teachers to feed the children at the community school three times a week with porridge and eggs. Some of them come to school without having anything to eat.

The training centres in Malawi and Zambia received shoeboxes packed by individual children from the Netherlands with educational aids and gifts. The boxes are not just for FCE, but also for government schools in our areas. As we distributed these gifts we could share about God’s ultimate gift to a lost world – His son Jesus Christ!

Brian, Jannie and 17 headmen from the surrounding villages at Koti ni Eden came together to discuss FCE’s involvement in Lambaland. Issues that were addressed were the lack of education of the children in the communities. Trust the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of the leaders to their responsibility to take care of their flock.

Thank the Lord for Rachael Greer from Australia who is volunteering at the clinic. She will be writing an exam in May and asks for prayer. She is our Florence Nightingale and we appreciate her hard work.

Pray for Sulene and Eunice who are involved in the training of the missionary students at Kalungu. They are dedicated and committed to make disciples and this takes all their energy and time. Pray for their safety and their health and for a close walk with the Lord.

Keep Yvette Maloney, Rene Els, Carien Jansen and Anita Grobler in your prayers. Ask God to heal their bodies and touch their souls as they are paying the price of being on the mission field and in malaria area for many years. These women are pillars in our organization and we need them to be fully restored.

Birthday: Maryke Swanepoel

Francois Pretorius and Jesaja Strumpfer are departing with a truck full of building supplies from South Africa to Zambia. Pray for a safe journey and quick passage through all border posts.

FCE wants to thank and honour you all as our prayer warriors – you are standing in the gap, staying on your knees and keeping our arms in position so that the Lord can fight the good fight for us. We praise you and appreciate you. May the Lord bless you!!!

Hendrik Jansen and Reinette Holtzhausen are at present in South Africa busy with studies in education that will further equip them as lecturers at our Teacher Training College at Koti ni Eden. Pray that the Lord will bless them with insight and wisdom and reveal to them His heart on Christian Education.

Pray for all the staff of FCE at the different training centres. There is not much glory in leaving father and mother and country and home so that others can benefit. Ask God to keep us faithful and obedient and to meet all our needs. Our aim is to display His splendour (Is. 61:3)

Dr. Smiley Swart is for some weeks serving as doctor at Koti ni Eden. He came at a stage when malaria, stomach and other illnesses are rampant. Ask that God will give him wisdom in treating various kinds of diseases.

Gert Basson and the King’s Highway teams are maintaining high standards at the FCE guest houses and campsites. Thank the Lord for guests and visitors and continue to market our guesthouses. Visit the website www.kingshighway. co.za

Transport and transportation in Africa are a challenge – development in Africa is often obstructed by a lack of mobility. We trust the Lord for vehicles at our training centres so that we can be in place to take people to the hospitals, our students to villages, products to the markets etc.

Please pray for the students who are trained at the training college in Zambia. They are trained to give underprivileged children a better change on quality education. Pray that we will find sponsors to continue to train and equip these young men and women to bring transformation in communities.

Pray for Neels and Anita’s visit in Australia. Ask God to guide them to people, churches, groups who are seeking to be involved in missions. Pray that the Spirit of the Lord will go before them and that their time will be fruitful and blessed.

Jacques du Toit, son of Piet and Elma du Toit, receives his Diploma in Education today at a graduation ceremony in Australia. Thank the Lord for guiding Jacques’ steps and making him prosperous in everything he does. Pray God’s blessing on him and his plans to get married with Jenn, an Australian girl soon.

Moses, Regina, Jesaja and Malinda continue to serve the families in the villages surrounding our training centre next to the lake. They are grateful for the new roller mill that has been installed; the vegetable garden is starting to produce. Continue to pray for the restoration of this country, spiritually and economically. Pray for the women’s’ ministry at the different training centres. The Spirit of the Lord is moving amongst these women and our prayer is that they will find their destiny in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Pray for them as they start to build their faith and trust in Him.
