FRIDAY

The Lord is our Shield. Praise His name. All the staff, students and volunteers arrived safely at their destinations. Abel was in a car accident and survived without a scratch. Trust the Lord for finances to fix Jannie’s pickup, or replace it should the insurance write it off.

The Lord is our Provider. Join us as we praise His name for His provision in all our needs and for the many times He gives more than what we ask for or expect from Him.

Birthday: Lindie Pretorius who teaches at the Kalungu Training Centre School.

SATURDAY

Advertise the Promotion we have today at Bosveld Biltong and Braai in the STRAND. Come and tickle your taste buds on biltong and game ‘potjies’, juicy springbok steaks and the Tulbagh beef and chicken sausages. Ask the Lord’s blessing on FCE’s businesses: the biltong shops and King’s Highway Guesthouses.

The Lord entrusted us with students for Discipleship Training, Mission Training, Teacher Training, Hospitality Training, and Community Development Training. Ask God to reveal Himself to them, for His Holy Spirit to renew their minds and to lead them to an understanding of His will for their lives.

8

The education in the world is not up to standard because of a lack of dedicated teachers. Pray that the Lord will send in young people with a heart for children to be trained as christ-centered teachers at our training college.

9

Birthday: Malinda Strumpfer. She is our teacher at the training centre in Malawi.

12

Pray for the FCE team in Malawi that they will stand strong in the midst of the financial challenges. Moses and his family had to renew their permits for Malawi – trust the Lord for His provision.

13

. The project for the next 3 years at the training centre of Malawi is to complete the campsite and the staff house. Pray for skilled workers from the community to help with the building. Pray for receptive hearts as the Word of God is shared and trust the Lord for funds to pay the workers.

14

Renee Els has completed the chemo-therapy and for the following 6 weeks she has to undergo X-ray treatment daily. Let us carry her in our prayers. Thank the Lord for Carel and Abigail who are supporting her in love. Continue to pray for her complete healing!

15

Continue to lift Sudan in your prayers. Concentrate on the work of God in that nation. Many of our ex-students are teaching in schools in the Sudan and the Lord is using them to bring Light and hope to children who daily face hunger, poverty, fear and hatred.

16

Obtaining working permits, study permits and visas are one of the biggest frustrations we face regularly. The enemy uses it to discourage us. The fees escalated in the beginning of this year and put strain on the finances of the staff and students. Pray that we will continue to focus on God and not on circumstances.

Birthdays: Willie Swanepoel. He teaches at the Community School and is also being trained as lecturer for the Teacher Training College at Koti ni Eden.

17

Birthday Rentia Nel. She is responsible for the Hospitality at the headquarters in Wolseley and runs the hostel very effectively.

18

Pray for the weekend seminar held for exteacher students at Koti ni Eden. Our heart is to motivate and equip them to be effective in their teaching and in reaching children for Christ.

19

Birthday: James Pretorius. He joined the Kalungu team to work on the Isale development Project.

20

Pray for Lydia and her helpers who continue to reach out to the women in the villages surrounding Kalungu. Pray that the Lord will use these wives’ testimonies to change the hearts and minds of their husbands and that it will bring healing and restoration in families.

21

Praise the Lord that Jannie and his family could move into their new house. Thank the Lord for all the people who contributed to our building funds which enable us to provide housing for our staff. We trust the Lord for the finances to complete the single quarters soon.

Let us declare the Lord as our Healer. It is rainy season in Zambia and many of our staff and students are suffering from malaria. Thank the Lord for Rachael Greer from Australia who serves in the clinic. We are grateful for dr Smily Swart and his wife who are willing to come and give a helping hand for a few weeks.

Thank the Lord for the many volunteers from all over the world who spend their time, money and energy to make our load easier. Ask God to give them a heart for missions and as they go back to their workplaces that they will become mission mobilizers.

Riette Cilliers and Gert Basson who manage the King’s Highway Guesthouses are on a much needed holiday. Ask God to touch their tired bodies and to revive their Spirit. Pray for all the staff who serves in the guesthouses and ask God to send in guests. Help us to advertise our King’s Highway Guesthouses

The Memorandum of Understanding between FCE and Southland College (Australia) has finally been signed. Praise the Lord for this wonderful opportunity for ex-FCE students to enrol in the B.Ed. (Conversion) degree. God is good.

The Lord is the love of our life. Pray for all the staff workers of FCE. At the staff conference at the beginning of the year they rededicated themselves to God and to their ministry.

The children and women’s ministries at all our training centres are keys to our involvement with the community. Pray that we will be in tune with what God is busy with at all times and praise Him for the people He entrusted to us. Pray for FCE’s Prayer Supporters. Thank the Lord for people who cover us with their prayers, who are our co-workers, who stand with us in good and in difficult times, who love, care, share and give unconditionally.

Pray for the teachers at the Community School where the children from the villages are reached with the Word of God and where they are trained in Christ-centred Education. Ask the Lord to bless the teachers with His love and compassion for each child.

Pray for Faffa and Carel in the Media Department. Ask God to bless them with creative ideas in making DVD’s to promote the work of FCE. Trust the Lord for equipment i.e. computers, copy machines, sound systems.

Pray for MALAWI. The political situation is critical and people are suffering – there’s a lack of fuel, basic articles cost almost 3 times more, the infrastructure is falling apart. Trust the Lord for Godly leadership in the country and pray for the Christians.

Zhak, Yvette Maloney and their two children took a year off to recover from chronic malaria and to recuperate after many years on the mission field. We miss them, but pray that the Lord will restore their health, give them peace and keep them in the palm of His hands.
