1: Birthday: Barbara Singoyi, Kalungu
2: Birthday: Elizabeth Kaphamtengo, Malawi
3: A group of educators from Australia arrives in South Africa to meet with Thinus Dreeckmeier and Piet du Toit. A link between the FCE College and a College in Australia will be discussed. Pray that it will be possible to get international accreditation for the FCE Teachers’ Training.
4: Birthday: Yvette Maloney, Masaiti
11: Pray for at least 300 teachers from all schools and communities in South Africa to register for the National Teachers’ Convention. Tomorrow is the closing date for registrations. Ask God’s provision for the finances and transport needed for these teachers to attend the conference.
6: Pray for Neels and Jannie who have to sort out the dates and practicalities of the move of the training centre from Masaiti to Koti ni Eden. Ask for God’s peace in the hearts of the Masaiti FCE staff, as well as for His order in the planning of this event.
7: Pray for the National Prayer Network Summit that will be held today and tomorrow in South Africa. During this meeting information will be gathered, and prayer leaders will be equipped and network with one another.
8: Praise God for miracles that He’s been doing in the lives of villagers at our training centre in Malawi. Thank Him for men and women who came to freedom and salvation during the Firm Foundations teachings that Carel and Renee Els presented there.
9: Florence Luwe is part of the women’s group in Malawi. When seeing the change in her life, her husband came to do the Firm Foundations course. This man, who is the government community worker in the area, then accepted Jesus. Ask that he will grow in Jesus, and will have a clear understanding of his calling and responsibility in the community.
10: Birthday: Francois Fouché, Wolseley
12: Birthday: Renee Els, Masaiti
13: Continue to pray for the finances and for installing the electricity at Koti ni Eden.
14: During the previous month there were prolonged strikes, together with intimidation of teachers in schools in South Africa. Pray for a new vision and hope for teachers who have lost hope and who do not know how to proceed.
15: During a recent exhibition of FCE guesthouses at an Expo in Cape Town, much interest was shown in the King’s Highway Restcamp in Namibia. Ask God that this interest will be followed by people who will make use of these facilities at Okahandja.
16: Pray for Jannie Compion who is trying to complete his D.Ed studies at the end of the year. Ask that he will know how to give structure to articles that he is writing, mainly about the FCE model of education as it is used in Africa.
17: Birthday: Bridget Wasema, Masaiti
18: After the Firm Foundations course in Malawi, Levy and his wife came to discuss problems of immorality, distrust and hatred in their marriage. They repented and were reconciled to one another. Pray for them as the process of healing has just started in their lives.
19: Pray for another lady who was broken before God about immorality and broken marriages. When she prayed to receive Jesus, demons manifested in her. These were cast out and she could start thanking God spontaneously. Ask that she will continue to fully walk in God’s freedom.
20: Thank God for positive feedback from customers after the “face lift” that the biltong shop in Somerset West received last month. Praise Him for a constant flow of finances for FCE projects from this shop, despite the difficult economic climate.
21: Ask God that all people working in the biltong shop and at the different FCE guesthouses, will find joy in their work. Pray that each one of them will have a living and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
22: In Kalungu the FCE staff has been asked by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Northern Province to train all their field workers. Thank God for the trust that could be established in this relationship.
23: Pray for teachers preparing to attend the National Teachers’ Convention that will start tomorrow. Ask that God will place an expectation and hunger in the hearts of these teachers to be touched by Him. Pray for safe travelling to and from the convention.
24: The National Christian Teachers’ Convention (NCTC) kicks off in Bloemfontein. Pray God’s blessing on Neels and on Craig Murison, principal of Mackay Christian College in Australia, who will be the main speakers today.
25: Chris Tshibaka, principal of Thotagauta High School, which was listed as one of the “worst” schools in South Africa, is one of the speakers at the Teachers’ Convention. He will share how the school was changed through prayer and discipline to be one of the top 50 in the Free State. Ask God’s blessing on him and the other speakers of the day.
26: Birthday: Marriot Daka, Masaiti
27: Birthday: Ina Perold, Masaiti
29: Thank God for His elderly prayer warriors, of whom many are interceding for FCE. Ask Him to give them joy, peace, good health and all else that they may need.
Pray for workshops leaders and speakers at the NCTC, to be obedient to His voice.
Pray for a renewed calling and focus for each teacher who will attend the last day of the NCTC.
28: Pray for Neels, who takes some overseas friends on a trip through the rural areas in South Africa. Ask that it will be a time where God will refresh him, after having had a hectic programme for a prolonged period of time.
30: Together we can bring glory to Jesus Christ, our vision. Through Him souls are saved, hungry people learn to farm in effective ways, children are being brought from hopelessness to hope and the Kingdom of darkness has to give way to the Kingdom of Light.
A group of farmers will visit Kalungu and Malawi. Ask God that these men will give good advice concerning agricultural projects.
