YOU MATTER AND SO DOES YOUR HEALTH

That’s why starting and staying on HIV-1 treatment is so important.

What is DESCOVY ? ®

DESCOVY is a prescription medicine that is used together with other HIV-1 medicines to treat HIV-1 in people 12 years and older. DESCOVY is not for use to help reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 infection. DESCOVY combines 2 medicines into 1 pill taken once a day. Because DESCOVY by itself is not a complete treatment for HIV-1, it must be used together with other HIV-1 medicines.

DESCOVY does not cure HIV-1 infection or AIDS. To control HIV-1 infection and decrease HIV-related illnesses, you must keep taking DESCOVY. Ask your healthcare provider if you have questions about how to reduce the risk of passing HIV-1 to others. Always practice safer sex and use condoms to lower the chance of sexual contact with body fluids. Never reuse or share needles or other items that have body fluids on them.

What are the other possible side effects of DESCOVY? Serious side effects of DESCOVY may also include: • •

Changes in body fat, which can happen in people taking HIV-1 medicines.

Changes in your immune system. Your immune system may get stronger and begin to fight infections. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any new symptoms after you start taking DESCOVY. Kidney problems, including kidney failure. Your healthcare provider should do blood and urine tests to check your kidneys. Your healthcare provider may tell you to stop taking DESCOVY if you develop new or worse kidney problems. Bone problems, such as bone pain, softening, or thinning, which may lead to fractures. Your healthcare provider may do tests to check your bones.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

The most common side effect of DESCOVY is nausea. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effects that bother you or don’t go away.

DESCOVY may cause serious side effects:

What should I tell my healthcare provider before taking DESCOVY?

What is the most important information I should know about DESCOVY? •

Buildup of an acid in your blood (lactic acidosis), which is a serious medical emergency. Symptoms of lactic acidosis include feeling very weak or tired, unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain with nausea or vomiting, feeling cold (especially in your arms and legs), feeling dizzy or lightheaded, and/or a fast or irregular heartbeat.

Serious liver problems. The liver may become large and fatty. Symptoms of liver problems include your skin or the white part of your eyes turning yellow (jaundice); dark “tea-colored” urine; light-colored bowel movements (stools); loss of appetite; nausea; and/or pain, aching, or tenderness on the right side of your stomach area. You may be more likely to get lactic acidosis or serious liver problems if you are female, very overweight, or have been taking DESCOVY for a long time. In some cases, lactic acidosis and serious liver problems have led to death. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of these conditions. Worsening of hepatitis B (HBV) infection. DESCOVY is not approved to treat HBV. If you have both HIV-1 and HBV and stop taking DESCOVY, your HBV may suddenly get worse. Do not stop taking DESCOVY without first talking to your healthcare provider, as they will need to monitor your health.

All your health problems. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you have or have had any kidney, bone, or liver problems, including hepatitis virus infection. All the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Other medicines may affect how DESCOVY works. Keep a list of all your medicines and show it to your healthcare provider and pharmacist. Ask your healthcare provider if it is safe to take DESCOVY with all of your other medicines. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if DESCOVY can harm your unborn baby. Tell your healthcare provider if you become pregnant while taking DESCOVY. If you are breastfeeding (nursing) or plan to breastfeed. Do not breastfeed. HIV-1 can be passed to the baby in breast milk.

You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. Visit www.fda.gov/ medwatch, or call 1-800-FDA-1088. Please see Important Facts about DESCOVY, including important warnings, on the following page.

Ask your healthcare provider if an HIV-1 treatment that contains DESCOVY® is right for you.

IMPORTANT FACTS (des-KOH-vee)

This is only a brief summary of important information about DESCOVY® and does not replace talking to your healthcare provider about your condition and your treatment.

SPOTLIGHT

Queer Country BY JOE MAE Kevin Thornton, the lead singer of the queer country band, Indiana Queen, grew up as a fundamentalist Christian. It was the late eighties, early nineties, in small town Indiana, and his whole world revolved around church. There was nothing else really, except Denny’s, where, after bible lesson, he and his buddies would hang out until curfew. He was charismatic and his pastors saw that. By 15, Kevin was delivering sermons in front of a megachurch congregation. So, when his hormones kicked in and Kevin realized he was gay, it made for some rather conflicted and torturous late teen years. He says going away to 20: November 18, 2016

college saved his life. “I had never been around so many liberal people who couldn’t care less that I was gay. I didn’t even know it was an option before”. Indiana Queen’s latest album, “Summon Without Sorrow”, and it’s accompanying film, are a visceral journey into music through Thornton’s eyes. It combines spiritual references with modern dance and homoerotic elements that together, deliver a powerful message of pride, love, and acceptance. What inspired “Summon Without Sorrow”? Kevin Thornton: Fans of Indiana Queen have always appreciated the visual imagery of our music videos. This time

around, I wanted to take the visuals as far as I could. I decided to present the entire album as a film. Is there significance behind the title? Kevin Thornton: There’s a theme throughout of looking back at a painful past and coming to terms with it. It essentially means “summoning up the ghosts from the past and remembering it all without the pain and sadness.” Today, I look back with reverence at the experiences that helped shape me into who I am. Like growing up fundamentalist Christian? Kevin Thornton: My favorite song on the album is “This Is How It Goes”

because it is the most vulnerable. It’s about remembering when I was young, when my whole world was the church, and falling for a guy. There was a lot of repressed sexual tension between us. We were so afraid. The song is about looking back, remembering him, and wondering if he made it out of that hell like I did. Did anything physical happen between you two? Kevin Thornton: We were teenagers so not much. There were some shame-filled, post-church hand jobs. Has your family come around to accepting your homosexuality? Kevin Thornton: Oh yes. My immediate family has become quite liberal. Have they heard and seen the album and film? Kevin Thornton: Not yet but they’ll be just fine with the album. All the nudity and man-kissing in the film might be a bit much for them. Although, my family usually surprises me. Why did you pack the film with fetish instead of scenes on the ranch that we typically see in country music videos? Kevin Thornton: (Laughing) Do we need anymore country videos with scenes of ranches and wheat fields? I’d rather explore different spaces and textures. I’m more interested in being subversive than sanitary. It’s provocative imagery. I also like the juxtaposition of pairing folk and country music with beefy guys in leather, kissing each other. Or maybe it’s just an excuse for me to get beefy guys in leather to make out in front of me. My favorite track is “Nashville Don’t Give A Damn.” I’ve had an on again off again love affair with Nashville for two decades. There were times where I felt like hot shit in this town. Then lots of other times where it felt like she didn’t even know my name. That’s how it goes, I guess. The song comes from an empowered place. Nashville doesn’t give a damn. That’s true. I’ve decided to forge ahead anyway. What does the northern LGBTQ community need to know about gay life in the south? Rural communities are still quite opposed to queer people. I sometimes feel like I still need to look over my shoulder to see who’s watching. But the world is changing fast. Even here in the south. Luckily, Nashville, where I am now, is a pretty progressive village and it’s quiet easy to live here. Visit http://indianaqueen.com FENUXE.COM : 21

BY TIMOTHY LARCOMBE

INTERVIEW

The last year has been a prodigious one for DJ Drew G and his Dirty Pop brand. In addition to procuring official remixes for some of the hottest music artists in the world including Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Madonna personally selected Drew and his production partner Brian Cua as the official remixers for their new singles. Their productions now play in clubs around the world. Even Tiësto has used Dirty Pop’s remixes in his live sets. While the duo have no plans to stop their collaboration, Drew G announced last week that he is venturing out on his own to explore his latest evolution of tribal circuit, a sound he is calling SoCal House. “I’m excited to show club fans who I really am,” he says. “I want them to see where my passions lie, what my motivation is, what my life is like.” We spoke with DJ Drew G to learn more.

What is So Cal House? Drew G: It’s a blend of all the elements of EDM, circuit and house that I have grown to love over the years. It’s extremely high energy. Is Excuse Me Bitch an example? Drew G: (Laughing) The song is actually my response to a nasty Facebook comment that was made in regard to my track, “Hands off”. There’s no reason to get in the mud when you can just make a banging track and giggle to yourself about its meaning. What inspired your new sound? Drew G: The fact that so many cities have a sound. There’s NYC House, Chicago House. As a resident of San Diego, I figured why not create SoCalHouse? It’s kinda cool that a lot of DJ in San Diego and Los Angeles are referring to it as their sound now. But you’re from NYC. Have you

given up your NYC roots? Drew G: There are definitely elements of NYC house in the SoCalHouse sound. I take a lot of influence from the greats that have been around long before me: Peter (Rauhofer), Junior (Vasquez), Victor (Calderone)… all NYC house legends. How did you get started DJing? Drew G: I went to see Peter Rauhofer play with a friend at Roxy in New York. I bought all his cds the next day. What prompted you to move out West? Drew G: The weather. I hate winter and snow. How did you meet your husband? Drew G: I met him on Scruff! We met in August, 2013. We were engaged that October. When you know, you just know. Does he call you his Dirty Pop? Drew G: (Laughing) No, but he has plenty of other embarrassing nicknames for me. (Continued on page 29)

(Continued from page 23)

Speaking of Dirty Pop, are you still collaborating with Brian Cua on tracks? Drew G: Brian and I are currently working on the next single with Daniele DeLaite from Australian Idol. It should be out by year end. How long have you been working with Beyoncé? Drew G: I’ve been remixing her tracks forever but the first official remix started with “Love on Top”. Then “End of Time”, “Blow”, “711”…. What about Madonna? Drew G: Again, forever, but our first official remix was “Living For Love”. It was probably the last true EDM based track Brian and I did. After that, we started working toward the SoCalHouse sound with “Ghost Town” and “Bitch, I’m Madonna”. What direction are you taking Drew G into? Drew G: I just want to continue making music. I’m so blessed to be able to play my work for an audience. But you know, I never have expectations. I go where life takes me. Visit http://djdrewg.com

OPINION

So, It Begins

I’m not going to sugarcoat this at all. We are in for a full-blown assault on LGBTQ rights the likes of which many, particularly younger LGBTQ people, have not seen. Progress will most certainly be halted completely, likely rolled back. And it’s already underway. First, forget any of your thinking that Donald Trump is from New York City, probably has gay friends, sent Elton John a congratulatory note on his civil union in 2005, used the acronym “LGBTQ” (in pitting gays against Muslims at the Republican National Convention, when he vowed only to protect us from a “hateful foreign ideology”) or any other superficial things you may have read or heard. Earlier in the year, before Mike Pence was chosen as Donald Trump’s running mate, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, said Trump would be more like the “chairman of the board” rather than a CEO. “He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. The first person on that board turned out to be Pence, and there’s been some commentary suggesting that Mike Pence could be “the most powerful vice president ever.” He is perhaps one of the most anti-LGBTQ evangelical Christian political crusaders to serve in Congress and as governor of a state. Long before he signed the draconian anti-LGBTQ “religious liberty” law in Indiana last year, he supported “conversion therapy” and believes marriage equality leads to “societal collapse.” Stopping gays from marrying wasn’t biased, he said, but “God’s idea.” Ben Carson, who compared homosexuality to pedophilia and incest, 30: November 18, 2016

is a vice chairman of the transition team and so is Newt Gingrich, who has attacked what he called “gay fascism” and, in 2014, “the new fascism” around LGBTQ rights. And right on cue, already appointed to lead domestic policy on the transition team is Ken Blackwell, formerly the Ohio secretary of state. Blackwell has compared homosexuality to arson and kleptomania, which he called “compulsions.” In an interview with me at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in 2008, he explained: “Well, the fact is, you can choose to restrain that compulsion. And so I think in fact you don’t have to give in to the compulsion to be homosexual. I think that’s been proven in case after case after case...I believe homosexuality is a compulsion that can be contained, repressed or changed… [T]hat is what I’m saying in the clearest of terms.” Expect each of these individuals and more religous bigots to have prominent positions in the Trump administration Trump has met with religious extremists, and made promises to them. He promised he would put justices on the Supreme Court who would overturn marriage equality (and the list of 20 candidates he has offered, certainly fit the bill), which he’s consistently opposed himself since 2000. He promised that he would sign the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA), which would allow for discrimination against LGBT people by government employees and others. It may or may not be difficult or unrealistic to overturn marriage equality over time, though the anti-

BY PAMELA SHOUTO equality National Organization for Marriage, which backed Trump in the election, has sent Trump a plan. But by passing bills like FADA (already introduced in the Republican-controlled Senate and House) and others yet to come, gay marriage can be made into a kind of second-class marriage. Clerks like Kim Davis can be given exemptions from giving marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples. Federal employees would be able to decline interactions with gay and lesbian married couples. Trump has said he would overturn what he saw as President Obama’s unconstitutional executive orders, and those could include Obama’s orders on LGBTQ rights, such as banning employment discrimination among federal contractors. Mike Pence has already said that he and Trump plan to withdraw federal guidance to the states issued by the Obama administration protecting transgender students: “Donald Trump and I simply believe that all of these issues are best resolved at the state level,” he said in an October radio show with Focus on the Family’s James Dobson. “Washington has no business intruding on the operation of our local schools.” Trump was hands-off on the platform when it came to queer issues, letting people like Perkins push an extreme agenda, and knowing he needed to court them. He spoke at the FRC’s Values Voter Summit in September, promising to uphold “religious liberty,” and a large majority white evangelicals did turn out to vote for him on Tuesday- comparable to, or greater than, every other GOP presidential candidate in recent years. With Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana, an evangelical with a record of legislating against abortion and same-sex marriage, as vice president, Christian leaders say they feel reassured they will have access to the White House and a seat at the table. “I am confident he will do as president what he said he would do as a candidate,” said Ralph Reed, chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, who helped mobilize Christian voters for Mr. Trump. If Trump is thus as hands-off on LGBTQ issues as president as he was at the RNC, letting people like Pence get his way, along with people like Carson, Blackwell, Gingrich and likely many others, you can bet that the assault on LGBTQ rights is already underway. It’s only a matter of time before we know the full magnitude. And that’s why we must pull ourselves out of grief, get fired up, and begin the fight right now.

Spiritual Fitness:

SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

piritual awakening is a sudden shift S in consciousness, sometimes drastic, mainly for a better life and or in a good direction. Webster’s Dictionary defines it as an enlightening realization.

Some of us might be experiencing a spiritual awakening and not know it. Here are 11 signs that indicate that you are experiencing and awakening or enlightening. 1. You are creating new belief systems. 2. You want more freedom and less stuff. 3. A sudden desire or change in life. 4. You find yourself drawn to inspiration & personal development. 5. You have a deep desire to connect with nature. 6. Experiencing usual burst and energy and unusual sleep patterns. 7. You have increased self talks or talks with your creator. 8. You are experiencing synchronicity. 9. You are having a greater feeling of

oneness. 10. You desire to take better care of the whole body. 11. Feeling of really deep emotions! John O’ Donahue has a famous quote: “Once the soul awakens, the search begins and you can never go back. From then on you are inflamed with a special longing that will never again linger in the lowlands of complacency and partial fulfillment. The eternal makes you urgent. You are loath to let compromise or the threat of danger hold you back from striving towards the summit of fulfillment”. This statement is so true. It’s kind of like an onion you begin to peel all the way to the core and begin to live again in a better way with great expression, and for people who don’t understand this it would seem very odd or crazy. That doesn’t matter because when you begin to open and shift your consciousness in a new better direction you begin to really be connected to oneself. When you are connected you are free! Finally when you are free,

connected and awaken you have no interest in judging others are worry about others judging you! Spiritual awakening is also the 12th step (last step) in the TWELVE STEP PROGRAM for Alcoholic/ Substance Abuse Program or Rehab centers. The reason it is the final step is because you have to use the other 11 Steps to become awakened or enlighten. The 1st in the 12 step Program is admitting that you are powerless over alcohol and substance and you life has became unmanageable. Therefore in the 12 Step Program you go from step 1 being powerless to the final step, step 12 being powerful and awaken of your life. Personally I began my spiritually awakening not too long ago at all and still working on it in every single one of my affairs. One my personal quotes that tend to refer to is: “I’m not the same soul I once was. A lot has changed. A lot is still changing. A lot had to have change. Therefore you can not expect out of my what I embodied in the past. For that part of me no longer exist!” My spiritual awakening also includes daily talks with my Creator! I’m so connected with myself right now that all I can do is just smile! Spiritual Awakening may not come when you want it to, but it will come. I promise! You may not realize it at the time it’s happening but once you start see. On the other hand, a bit of scandalous chatter can be great: as in the new book “Marilyn Forever” by Boze Hadleigh, if people are talking about you, they’ll remember you. Through the years, plenty of people have had plenty to say about Marilyn Monroe, both during her career and after her death. Much of the snark was just that: Anne Baxter said she “got fed up” with studio bosses fussing over Monroe and ignoring “those of us who could actually act!” Elizabeth Taylor had nothing good to say about Monroe, and was reportedly scandalized by rumors of Monroe’s affair with another woman. Hey Girl Hey! Holler Poodles! Being the quintessential queen of politeness, I was recently asked some questions about decorum--and how to handle awkward situations. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be addressing these pressing issues for you. Write in with your awkward situations and questions and I’ll be happy to answer them. Is it ok to pass gas in public? No, but it’s a lot better than pooping on yourself. If you’re sitting down, I recommend leaning slightly over to one side and grabbing a butt cheek and pulling it as far apart from the other cheek as possible to create the least amount of resistance. There should be no sound as you let the gas out but if a sound is produced, a quick clearing of the throat should provide cover. If you are standing up, I recommend bending over to “tie your shoe” or “wipe” away some dirt off your shoe so as to separate your cheeks as much as possible. Next is dealing with the putrid smell that is inevitably gonna smack someone in the face with its hang time. If you can’t retreat from the scene of the crime fast enough, I recommend looking directly at the person closest to you and with the most accusing of facial expressions, yell out “Oh My God” and then walk away shaking your head. Problem solved! What if someone does this to you? You have to be prepared for your response ahead of time. I usually say something like “Bitch, don’t even try it--I saw your dress fly up when you cut that cheese and now there’s a stain where your butthole used to be!” Though you may not remain friends afterwards, your good name has been preserved. What if you pass gas on the elevator? Always be prepared with your response. Cover your face with your shirt or blouse and act like you just smelled the worst thing ever (after all it is hot air being blown over poop) and as you’re getting off the elevator state “I can’t believe someone would do that!” If you notice, most people who fart don’t have a problem with the smell so they’ll just assume you weren’t the guilty party. LOG CABIN REPUBLICANS BLAST THE ‘LGBT LEFT’ FOR DEMONIZING TRUMP 44: November 18, 2016

Trump’s victory, the other half has taken to city streets, including New York City, to protest the president elect. During the campaign, the businessman/ reality star promised to select Supreme Court justices who will repeal marriage equality. He supports bathroom laws that block trans men and women from using restrooms, and locker rooms, that do not correspond with their gender identity. Vice President-elect Mike Pence is also opposed to marriage equality and an advocate of ‘conversion therapy’.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is telling opponents of President-elect Trump to consider his state as their refuge ‘As New Yorkers, we have fundamentally different philosophies than what Donald Trump laid out in his campaign,’ the governor wrote in an email to members of the New York State Democratic Committee. ‘So let me be absolutely clear: If anyone feels that they are under attack, I want them to know that the state of New York – the state that has the Statue of Liberty in its harbor – is their refuge,’ the Democratic governor continued. ‘Whether you are gay or straight, Muslim or Christian, rich or poor, black or white or brown, we respect all people in the state of New York,’ he added. ‘It’s the very core of what we believe and who we are. But it’s not just what we say, we passed laws that reflect it, and we will continue to do so, no matter what happens nationally. We won’t allow a federal government that attacks immigrants to do so in our state.’ Cuomo posted the entire letter on his Facebook page. Also today the governor ordered a joint

investigation between the NY State Police & State Division of Human Rights into an alleged hate crime in Wellsville, New York. Wellsville is about 8 miles from the Pennsylvania border. It was reported that earlier this week a softball field was defaced with the phrase ‘Make America White Again’ and a swastika. ‘New York is one of the most inclusive & open communities in the world – this type of behavior is not who we are, & not who we will ever be,’ said Cuomo. While half of the US is elated with the

ust over two weeks ago, Log Cabin Republicans refused to endorsed their party’s presidential candidate Donald Trump. But now that Trump has pulled off an improbable victory over Hillary Clinton, the LGBT political group is touting its ties to the president-elect. ‘For the past three weeks, I’ve been in regular communication with the Trump Transition Team,’ the group’s president Gregory T. Angelo wrote in a fundraising

letter sent to supporters on Thursday (10 November). ‘While Log Cabin Republicans was working to have a relationship with our nation’s incoming chief executive, the LGBT Left was busy demonizing Donald Trump and fundraising off of bogeymen.’ Angelo claims this leaves ‘the LGBT Left’ with nowhere to go as Trump prepares to take office in January. ‘Collectively, LGBT advocacy organizations on the Left have staff in the hundreds. Budgets in the millions. And yet, they don’t have a single point of contact in the incoming Trump administration. Log Cabin Republicans does.’ The group’s holding back on endorsing Trump did have more to do with the company he keeps including senior advisors with a record of opposing LGBT equality. Trump has also committed himself to supporting legislation such as the socalled ‘First Amendment Defense Act’ which Log Cabin Republicans oppose. Angelo writes that his group is ‘quietly working behind-the-scenes to ensure the advances in LGBT freedom we have made thus far remain secure and continue in a Trump administration.’

ANTI-GAY KEN BLACKWELL TAKES KEY DOMESTIC POLICY ROLE IN TRUMP’S TRANSITION TEAM

Donald Trump has given an anti-gay religious right-wing activist a lead role in his transition team. John Kenneth ‘Ken’ Blackwell, Ohio’s former Secretary of State, will head up the team’s work on domestic issues. In a 2006 interview, he compared gay people to kleptomaniacs and arsonists. ‘I think homosexuality is a lifestyle, it’s a choice, and that lifestyle can be changed,’ he said in response to the question whether homosexuality was a choice and whether gay people could be cured. ‘I think it is a transgression against God’s law, God’s will.’ He also said he believes ‘people make choices all the time’. ‘And I think you make good choices and bad choices in terms of lifestyle. ‘Our expectation is that one’s genetic makeup might make one more inclined to be an arsonist or might make one more inclined to be a kleptomaniac. Do I think that they can be changed? Yes.’ Blackwell is also associated with the Family Research Council, which has been declared a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center because of their ‘discredited research and junk science’. The Council opposes and lobbies against same-sex marriage, civil partnerships and gay couples’ right to adopt, as well as abortion, divorce and pornography. In his role as a Senior Fellow for Family Empowerment, Blackwell continued broadcasting his anti-gay stance. He blamed the 2014 mass shooting in Isla Vista, California, on marriage equality. In the attack, 22-year-old Elliot Rodger first stabbed three men in his flat, before driving to a sorority house where he fired at three female students, two of which died. He also killed a male student at a nearby deli before driving through Isla Vista and shooting at pedestrians and striking others with his car, before he killed himself. Following the attack, Blackwell blamed it the US’ ‘moral foundation’ being under attack. ‘When you see there’s a crumbling of the moral foundation of the country, you see the attack on natural marriage and the family,’ he said in an interview with FRC’s president Tony Perkins on his radio program Washington Watch. ‘That has been a part of not only the moral foundation and the upbringing of our children, but the teaching of sexual roles and the development of human sexuality in our culture. In 2015, former Alaska GOP politician Joe Miller invited Blackwell on his radio show. There, he warned of Obama establishing a ‘totalitarian regime’ by establishing a welfare state – something Blackwell said was done to ‘weaken the family’ and ‘marginalize the church’. ‘Ken Blackwell is a man who has spent his entire career going after LGBTQ Americans,’ said Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Senior Vice President for Policy and Political Affairs JoDee Winterhof. ‘Blackwell’s leadership role in President-Elect Trump’s transition team should be a major wake up call for anybody who ever had any doubt that LGBTQ people are at risk.’ Human Rights Campaign has also tipped several right-wing, antiLGBTI extremists to take lead roles in Trump’s team. Besides Ken Blackwell, names being suggested include former Attorney General Ed Meese, who in the past claimed ‘shows how the culture has deteriorated over two centuries’. They also suggest a role will be given to Kay Cole James who compared LGBTQ people to drug addicts, alcoholics, adulterers, or ‘anything else sinful’ in her book Transforming America from the Inside Out.
