• Dazu: for over 1,000 years monks carved life-size figures out of stone. They have over 60,000 stone carvings in the Dazu Grotto. We were the first to bring American Groups. When we went the first time, there were only a few backpackers. It has since become popular UNESCO World Heritage Site. • Shenzhen China Cultural Village: Think of the Polynesian cultural Village in Hawaii, and you will get an idea of what this is. The Chinese asked the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii to help build them a Cultural village that would display the dress and customs of their many ethnic tribes inside of China. The China Cultural Village is a huge hit with our passengers, and it also has GREAT Cultural Shows. As far as we know, we are still the only company that has ever brought American Groups to the China Cultural Village. • Zhangjiajie Mountains: We were the first ever to bring American Groups to Zhangjiajie. This is likely the most beautiful place on earth. It is where they filmed the floating mountains of Avatar. Yes, those mountains actually exist, they filmed them at Zhangjiajie and then cut off the bottoms to make them float in the movie. This is a highlight of highlights in China. • Very few companies offer both the Yangtze and the Li River in one tour. Usually, you have to pick the Li River or the Yangtze; you can’t do both. If you are going to China, you need to do both. • Bottom Line: We designed our tour to bring the very best of China, you will see and experience more with us than any other company. After our owners last exploration trip to China in 2017, we have decided to add three major improvements to our already Unique tours to China. The following additions will start in 2019. • The Qingyuan Lianzhou Underground River – Another First! We will be the first ever to bring American groups to this unique underground river cave. Inside the cave, a zigzag river runs through three little picturesque gorges which are respectively called 'Longmen Gorge,' 'Lotus Gorge' and 'Banana Gorge' according to their shapes. You will travel by boat about 30 football fields on the river running through possibly the most beautiful cave you will ever experience. • Pingyao: China’s best-preserved ancient walled town. The whole town is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is often called a living museum. Even though the ancient walled town is hundreds of years old, the building are all lived in. The first banking system in China started in Pingyao. This will be a major highlight. • Guangzhou Zoo and Shows: A great place to see Panda’s is at the Guangzhou Zoo. The Zoo also has many animals shows to enjoy. We will also enjoy a fantastic evening show across from our luxury hotel. • High-Speed Trains: When you consider the time driving to and from airports, time waiting to board your flight, along with flight times - high-speed trains often take less time and are more enjoyable. The only issue with high-speed trains in China is where to put the large suitcases Americans travel with. We solved the problem, by trucking your luggage to your next city while you travel comfortable by high-speed train. With other companies you will end up with your luggage where your feet should be. This once in a lifetime tour of Israel will visit many sites that other tours miss, some even leave off Bethlehem. Our special Holy Land tour includes all of the important sites in Israel such as Jerusalem, Garden Tomb, Galilee, Bethlehem, Masada, the Dead Sea and more. It also includes Petra & Christ’s baptismal site in Jordan. This once in a lifetime tour will visit many sites that others are not able to see when they go to Israel. For example: The City of Lehi excavations, located a short distance down from Jerusalem. This is where caves were discovered with writings on the inside walls. It was determined that the writings were by a prophet in hiding that date approx. 600 BC. The Arabs have considered the hill above the cave to be a sacred place. As they put it – “before Mohamed there was a great prophet named Lehi and he taught from that hill.” Even the archaeologists in Jerusalem now call the area Beit Lehi. We do not know if this is our Lehi, but we do know this will be a huge highlight as you visit an active archaeological dig. The excavations are on an army base. Only those excavating and Fun For Less Tours have been given permission to go onto the site. NOTE: The excavations are now far enough along, there are stairs into the underground excavations. Why We Have the BEST Silk Road Tour

There have been two ways to travel the silk road through Central Asia. By bus and by train. When we started working on this tour we talked to many that had traveled the Silk Road by bus, we wanted to know how much they liked their bus tour. They all said the same thing - They loved the sites but absolutely hated the extremely long exhausting drives on bad roads to get from one place to another. They all felt a private train would be a much better option! The owners of Fun For Less Tours experienced the Silk Road by private train in 2015. There was only one drawback to the train Jim and Carol went on – it visited less countries than doing it by bus. We wanted to do all the countries AND we wanted to do it by train. It took us six months to get permission for our private train to enter the additional countries we wanted, we now include all of the countries that would be done by bus. We are the only ones in the world that offers a private train tour that covers China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Chartering the Whole Train Gave Us FANTASTIC PRICING

When the owners of Fun For Less Tours went on the Silk Road train in 2015 that visited only 3 countries, there were 16 passengers from the USA on the same train. They knew we were preparing for a group in 2017. They also knew we were going to add the Silk Road in China and most likely visit additional countries that were not included on our 2015 train trip. They asked what we might be charging our group when we put it all together. There was no way to be accurate, but we could give an estimate as we knew what our costs would be in China and had some estimated pricing for the train. We took our train cost estimate, added extra for additional countries, added China, added our best guess on airfare in China and then gave them our best guess price. Their program was a 14-day tour, we estimated our future program to be a 20-day tour. They were shocked, at our estimated pricing! For the same cabin category, without China, educator and additional countries we planned to include, they had paid almost $3,000 more per person than we estimated we would charge our passengers for everything. We not only have the best tour for the Silk Road, we have the best pricing! Chartering the whole train created huge savings! We have the best price possible!

Why NOW IS THE TIME We contracted for three chartered Silk Road Train Tours. 2017, 2018 and 2019. When 2018 and 2019 are sold out, we do not know when we will be able to do this again. Our BEST Seating Ever Before seating is open to the public to purchase, it is first offered to those that contribute money or time to the Shakespeare Festival. Fun For Less Tours does not fall into this group. After receiving our seat assignments for this year (2015) we expressed our disappointment in the seats that were assigned to us. All of our seats were in the back half of the Orchestra section. We did not have any seats in the front half. We understand why the large donors and those involved in the plays should get first choice. We just wanted to be included in those getting first choice. We told the Festival we needed to be included in the first group for the following reasons: • This is more of a service then a profit center for us. By the time we pay for the hotels, the show tickets, three meals a day, thousands of dollars to rent our meeting space at the Festival, all tipping, money paid to actors for the private seminar, along with the cost of sending many staff members with all of their costs and the costs of Dr. Michael Wilcox – we make very little money. The winner in all of this are our customers AND the Shakespeare Festival. • We asked the Festival to look at the many years of our buying around 2000 show tickets each year, which is 10 times more than other groups have purchased. We felt they needed to consider the large number of tickets we buy each year as our donation to the Shakespeare Festival. • If we could not get better seating we would likely stop coming. Our petition did not fall on deaf ears! This year all of our seats were in the Orchestra, but in the back sections. The Festival has re-evaluated our position for next year. We already have our seats assigned and know exactly what we have to offer and believe us, they are GREAT! We ended up with 3 packages for next year. • Our Gold Package: Four of the plays are in Rows 1, 2, 3 or 4. The other two plays are in great Orchestra seating. NOTE: The Gold Package has already sold out. • Silver Package: Three of the plays are in Rows 1, 2, 3, or 4. The other three plays will be in good Orchestra seating. We still have space in our Silver Package. • Bronze Package: One of the plays will be in Rows 1, 2, 3 or 4. The rest of the seats are not bad, they are basically what we had this year. The Bronze Package will not go on sale until after we sell out our Silver Package. Approximately 40% of our seats are in the Gold Package, which has sold out. We also have about 40% of our seats in the Silver package and 20% of our seats are part of the Bronze Package. Not much difference between the Gold and Silver packages. The Silver Package will also sell out, so don’t wait!!

The Sacred Grove

We will start our fantastic Church History Tour in Palmyra, the Sacred Grove, and the Hill Cumorah. We will then follow the legacy-rich path of the saints from Palmyra to Kirtland, on to Independence, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman, Liberty Jail and then finally into Nauvoo and Carthage. We will not be traveling by wagon train - we are going to fly from Kirtland to Independence! Flying eliminates two full days of traveling by bus (and two months if traveling by wagon.)
