India Tour with Dubai Itinerary
Day 1: Monday, February 16: Fly to Delhi
Day 2: Tuesday, February 17: ARRIVE DELHI (BY FLIGHT TO BE ADVICE)
The flight usually arrives after midnight (2:30 am). Rooms will be available for immoderate check-in when arriving at the hotel. Accommodation: Overnight at Hotel
Day 3: Wednesday, February 18: DELHI - ARRIVAL around 2:30 am
Welcome to India! Arrive in Delhi; our Executive will meet you outside the arrival lounge of the Airport and transfer from the Airport to the Hotel by Coach. Because of the late arrival, we will not leave until around noon for our orientation tour of Delhi. Our tour will include the Lotus Temple along with Gandhi Smriti - Mahatma Gandhi spent his last 144 days in this mansion, and today, it is converted into a National Memorial. Next, visit a Sikh Temple known as Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. You can watch (and join if you like) the langar, the voluntary group cooking and feeding program at the Gurudwara. Return to the hotel. Day 4: Thursday, February 19: DELHI
Morning possibility for Yoga at Lodhi Gardens. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide and fellow travelers in the hotel lobby for a full-day exploration of this incredible city. Proceed for a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, where you will visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Here, you will also enjoy Rickshaw Ride in the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk - once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty, which today is the busiest commercial market of the City. Drive past the magnificent Red Fort - a marvel in red sandstone, built on the banks of River Yamuna by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Next, we will photo stop at the imposing India Gate and drive past the Parliament buildings and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President’s residence. We will also find time to stop at the Dili Market before returning to our hotel. (Please pack for 1 night for Varanasi. Big Bags will be held in Delhi, waiting for our return from Varanasi).
Day 5: Friday, February 20: DELHI - VARANASI
This morning, transfer to the airport to connect to a flight to Varanasi. Varanasi derives its name from the two streams –Varuna in the north and Assi in the south. It is one of the oldest living cities in the world, with a continuous history dating back 3,000 to 5,000 years. On arrival, take an excursion trip to Sarnath. A major Buddhist center, Sarnath, lies 10 kilometers northeast of Varanasi. It was here that Buddha preached his message of the 'middle way' to nirvana after achieving enlightenment at Bodhgaya. In around 234 BC, Emperor Ashoka, a great follower of Buddhism, erected a stupa here. Between the 3rd century BC and the 11th century AD, several Buddhist structures were built here in Sarnath. Return to the hotel and take an adventurous E rickshaw ride to witness the Ganga Aarti – an elaborate ritual, mesmerizing ceremony with fire rituals, music, and chanting. Day 6: Saturday, February 21: VARANASI - AGRA
Early morning experience the life of this ancient city. See the beauty of the rising sun on the Ganges by SMALL Boatsoffering lamps into the holy waters Experience the early morning rituals of the Hindus being performed, thousands of people taking a bath in the holy river believing they will be free from the circle of rebirth. It is interesting to see the pilgrims offering sweets, flowers, and holy water to the Sun God. Return back to the hotel for breakfast. Transfer to the airport for our flight to Delhi, followed by a drive to Agra where we will stay overnight. If the airline opens a flight directly to Agra, we will take the direct flight and then have a Bollywood dance class this afternoon.
Day 7: Sunday, February 22: AGRA - JAIPUR (DRIVE 232 KMS/5.5 HRS APPROX.)
This morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Built out of white marble by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The entire monument is a masterpiece of symmetry. Later drive towards Jaipur, 232 Km/4.5 hrs drive approx. The road passes through rural landscapes, offering a wonderful snapshot of rural culture. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Day 8: Monday, February 23: JAIPUR
After breakfast, we will start the day by climbing up to the Amber Fort by Elephant. Our tour of the wonderful Amber fort includes Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, Shila Devi Temple, and Kesar Kyari Bagh. In the afternoon, we will continue our tour of the Pink City, which will include Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, and the City Palac and Birla temple.
Day 9: Tuesday, February 24: JAIPUR - CHENNAI (FLIGHT 6E5362 -10:00/12:25 Hrs.)
This morning transfer to the airport to connect to a flight to Chennai. Arrive in Chennai and proceed to a half-day city tour in Chennai. We will first stop to visit Fort St. George, a 17th-century fort built by the British, now home to the Tamil Nadu state legislative assembly. The tour will end with a visit to Kapaleeshwarar Temple. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the ancient temples built in the 7th century CE and which follows Dravidian architecture. After the tour, we will check at our hotel.
Day 10: Wednesday, February 25: CHENNAI
Today, we proceed to our visit to the Leprosy Centre. We will spend a full day here. Return to Chennai - Overnight at Hotel
Day 11: Thursday, February 26: CHENNAI - DUBAI
This morning, transfer to the airport to connect to the flight to Dubai. Arrive in Dubai and transfer to the hotel for checkin. In the afternoon, we will visit old Dubai. We will walk through the bustling alleys of these souks, being amazed by the mystical aromas of numerous spices and the breathtaking amount of dazzling jewelry varying from traditional to the latest designs at amazingly affordable prices displayed by almost 200 shops. Continue our tour through the material market, taking a closer look at the wind towers on our way to Abras, local water taxis that will take us across the Creek to the area of spice and gold souks. Day 12: Friday, February 27: DUBAI
After breakfast, we will visit the most beautiful garden in the world- the Dubai Miracle Garden. The largest natural flower garden in the world deserves your visit, especially when it boasts over 45 million flowers in the world across various different species. Arranged in unbelievably beautiful shapes, designs, and themes, the flower garden is a sensory delight to your senses. A world free of worries and only natural scent, Miracle Garden is your answer to man’s amazing creativity. Continue your drive to the world`s largest man-made island, which has captured the world's imagination with its magnificent scale and ingenuity, called The Palm Jumeirah. Visit Madinat Souq. Later, visit the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, situated right next to one of the world's largest shopping malls, the Dubai Mall, where you will have the opportunity to experience “At The To.p” Begin your vertical ascent to the observation deck in a high-speed elevator, traveling at 10 meters per second. As the doors open, floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide a breathtaking, unobstructed 360-degree view of the city, desert, and ocean. After visiting Burj Khalif, we will visit Dubai Mall, the biggest mall in Dubai. The rest of the time is free for shopping. Overnight Dubai
Day 13: Saturday, February 28: DUBAI - FULL DAY EXCURSION TO ABU DHABI
After an early breakfast, we will drive for 2 hours to visit Abu Dhabi. Our first stop will be to visit the Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which has been named to honor the late president, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. (Mosque dress code applies). Next, we will stop at the extraordinary Qasr Al Watan or the Palace of the Nation! A striking segment of the capital city’s Presidential Palace complex, Qasr Al Wata,n is where the significant government buildings are located. Besides the meeting place of the country’s supreme constitutional authority, it also serves as a venue to host the global leaders during their UAE visit. As it’s now opened to the public, come trace the footprints of royals while gaining a better understanding of the Emirati culture, heritage, and architectural opulence. Return to Dubai - Overnight at Hotel
Day 14: Sunday, March 1: DUBAI - FLY HOME
Transfer to Dubai International Airport to catch your flight home.
