• The purchase power of the dollar this year compared to past years: In the past for every dollar we traded for Indian Rupees (India’s money), we received somewhere between 42 to 50 Rupees. This year for every dollar we are able to get over 80 Rupees per dollar. This is the best exchange rate we have ever seen. We are purchasing the Indian Rupees now and putting them in the bank to insure the huge savings for our 2025 group. No one knows when the number of Rupees per dollar will go back into the 40s per dollar.

• Pushkar Festival: As part of your tour, you will have the rare opportunity to experience the famous Pushkar Festival. The Pushkar Festival is considered the oldest festival in the world. It has been held annually for over 1,000 years. National Geographic created a list of the ten places you should see before you die. Pushkar Festival was on that list. Less than 2% of the visitors to India get the opportunity to attend a Pushkar Festival.

• The date of the Pushkar Festival fluctuates from year to year, at times causing the tour dates of the tour to go over Thanksgiving. In 2025, the festival is held at a time that does not cause our passengers to be gone over Thanksgiving.

· Kathmandu, Nepal: you will love the ancient architecture and old villages.

· The Ganges: Most tours do not include Varanasi and the sacred river, the Ganges. In the Hindu religion, the river Ganges is revered as a goddess whose purity cleanses the sins of the faithful and aids the dead on their path toward heaven. You will witness some of their religious traditions.

· The Jaipur Amber Palace: you will ride elephants to the top of the hill containing the Amber Fort made out of pale yellow and pink sandstone, along with white marble. A true highlight.

· Jodhpur the Blue City: Blue is considered a sacred color. Settlers in the region dabbed their houses in blue hues. Jodhpur has become known as the blue city.

· The massive Mehrangarth Fort in Jodhpur: This is the most beautiful ancient fortress palace in all of India and should not be missed.

· Pushkar Festival: With so few days in a year that the 1,000 year old festival is held and so few places to stay in the out of the way Pushkar area, very few tourists are ever able to experience the Pushkar Festival. Most have to stay in tent camps, but we have one of the few 5-star resort hotels for our passengers. This is only available to our passengers because of connections the owners of Fun For Less Tours have in India.

· Maharaja Palaces: Many of them are so stunning that they become an attraction unto themselves. We usually leave early and return around 4pm back to the Maharaja Palaces. This gives our passengers time to leisurely explore the beautiful grounds, take a swim in some of the beautiful swimming pools and enjoy dinner on patios overlooking the manicured gardens.

· The Country of Bhutan: Few, if any, tourists ever get permission to visit Bhutan – stepping back in time where little has changed in hundreds of years. This is an optional extension, but if you have time and have the money we highly recommend it. Bhutan wants to limit the number of tourists. One of the ways is that they charge $200 a day per tourist, in addition to any visas, flights, hotels and other expenses related to the trip. That means, with our group staying 4 nights, we are paying between $800 and $1,000 per person just for the right to enter Bhutan. Expensive, but we believe it is worth it.

Its water-management network features 19 wind mills, plus dikes and reservoirs that control flooding in the polder (low-lying land). Waterways, footpaths and bike trails crisscross the area.

• Keukenhof Gardens – Keukenhof gardens is known as the "Garden of Europe" for its terrific tulip displays. It is also the largest flower garden in the world covering 80 acres of likely the most beautiful landscaping and flowers you will ever see. With over 7,000,000 stunning tulips, over 800 different variety of tulips and 9 miles of foot paths, all with beautiful settings - it is too large to visit in one visit. We will actually visit the Keukenhof Gardens twice for about 4 hours each time. One will be at the beginning of our tour and the other time will be almost two weeks later near the end of your cruise.

• The Dikes of Holland: Much of Holland is below the water level. You will experience driving on dikes that on one side is the water and the other side way below the dike you’re driving on, is the land and villages that would be completely below water if the dikes were to break.

• Amsterdam: We will enjoy the best of Amsterdam, its windmills, canals and Ann Frank's House. We will even take a ride on a boat through many of of the canals.

Jim and Carol Tyndall, along with Jamie, their daughter (owners of Fun For Less Tours), were able to experience this fantastic part of the world on a private train. At the time, the train was not visiting Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan. Knowing the train missed the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, they went in early to explore the areas the train missed. Even though they had all traveled to over a hundred countries, they knew almost nothing about Central Asia and its history of the Silk Road. To say they were overwhelmed with the ancient beauty and the people – would be an understatement. To Jim, Carol and Jamie it shot right up near the top of all the places they have ever visited. After the trip, they agreed to charter the whole train for our groups – BUT, they needed to redesign the train's itinerary and needed to add the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. A train is not like a bus that you can just take a different road, pull over almost anywhere and stop or park. Getting permission to travel by rail, wanting to stop and park your train like a bus is not easy. It took close to a year of working with all of the governments and local train companies to get permission to change our itinerary and add the additional two Stans - Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, The only reason this is possible, is because we are chartering the whole train, changing the itinerary, and adding additional nights on the train.

A Few Things to Consider:

• The huge price savings from our chartering the whole train. As far as we know, no one has ever chartered the entire private train through the Silk Road in Central Asia. Chartering the whole train created huge savings. Our price on the train is $1,300 per person less than what the train company charges when it is not a charter AND they do not include all 4 countries and our improved itinerary! That is only reserved for our charters.

• NO LONG DRIVES! On Jim and Carol’s trip they met many people traveling through the Silk Road by bus. When they asked how they liked their tour, everyone said they loved the sites, and the hotels, but the long drives were exhausting and grueling! They spent ½ of their time or more doing long drives. There were many days of driving that were 6 hours or more before they reached the next area to tour. Then when they arrived, they were given less time than they would have liked to see the sights. WE HAVE NO LONG DRIVES! We will travel by train at night and then tour during the day. Some of the bus travelers they met said they had looked at the train but it only visited 2 of the Stan countries. They wanted all 4, so they went by bus. You will get all 4 Stans without any long drives, plus you will have plenty of time to enjoy the many beautiful sites. Please, Please, Please listen to us. Train Cabin Categories: The train offered us less expensive train cars that had two bunkbeds, one shared toilet per train car AND no shower facilities – we did not charter any of these train cars. We did charter train cars that included the Aladdin upgraded larger cabins with two lower beds. The Aladdin Train Cars also have two shared toilets per train car AND one large shower area that can be reserved by those staying in that train car. HENRY VIII - Following the story of a ruthless race to power and the desire for a male heir, this history play presents a monarch facing a series of struggles and crises. King Henry VIII is wrestling with his legacy of not having a male heir, and this flows directly from his concern that God is punishing the king for having married his brother’s widow, Katherine. He listens too closely to his duplicitous adviser, Cardinal Wolsey, who may have his own interest at heart, while the honorable Duke Buckingham is convicted of treason. Through a series of events, Henry–and the kingdom–are in a historic crisis that will forever change the direction of the empire.

A WINTER’S TALE - King Leontes’s jealousy and rage sparks the action in this beloved Shakespearean romance. Driven by nothing but his own unfounded suspicions, Leontes falsely accuses his wife Hermione of infidelity with his closest friend and dire consequences follow. Focusing on themes of betrayal, loss, and forgiveness, this play winds toward love and redemption to make it one of the Bard’s most beautiful and satisfying plays.

THE TAMING OF THE SHREW - The bold, spirited, and headstrong Katherina is deemed unworthy of marriage while suitors pursue her younger sister Bianca. Their father refuses to let his younger daughter marry until an appropriate match is made for the elder, which Petruchio accepts as a challenge. However, Katherina will not be tamed so easily. Although fictional, this witty, magical, and poetic play propels the audience to better understand the human behind one of America’s best known leaders.
