Why this is the last time: Many Galapagos Cruises have 100 passengers on board. We have chartered a 100-passenger ship, but have limited our number to 48 passengers. The ship company has not been willing to work with us related to our needs in the number of passengers and the pricing after 2023. If we can’t get what we need for our passengers, we would rather not bring our groups. We understand they can make more money selling to more individuals. With us not being able to charter, we will not be returning after 2023.

This is your last opportunity to experience Galapagos with Michael Wilcox and Fun For Less Tours.

OUR GIGANTIC ADVANTAGE: The number of passengers on a ship can limit the number of shore excursions and experiences you will have during a Galapagos Cruise! Our ship has 50 cabins for 100 passengers and a crew of 58 – BUT we are only going to use 24 of the cabins for a total of 48 passengers. There are more crew members on the ship than passengers. There will be no waiting in line for others to return before it is your turn to go ashore.

To make it even better, we will split into 4 groups of approximately 12 passengers per small group for shore excursions. Each group will have their own experienced National Park Guide. Our National Park Guides will travel with us on the ship and be with your small group each day. With us you will see more and experience more!

We have not included any inside cabins for our cruise, our price includes Premium Cabins with a window. For your best experience of Galapagos, we recommend reserving one of our 11 suites with a balcony. Pictures of the different cabins can be found on the following page.

The Galapagos Islands are not the only stunning places to visit in Ecuador. The other most important area to visit is Quito, where we will be staying in the 5-Star Luxurious J.W. Marriott. Your visit to the equator and Parque Nacional Cotopaxi Park from Quito will add highlights you will remember forever!

This is your last opportunity!!! While the Coronavirus was at its height of decimating all cruise lines – we were able to negotiate a fantastic deal for our passengers – the Charter of the full ship while only allowing 48 passengers. Royal Caribbean introduced us to the possibilities of doing Japan from a ship. But, as we studied the itineraries offered by ships, all missed some of the best areas of Japan and NONE that we found would be there during the beautiful Cherry Blossom Season. The original Royal Caribbean Cruise we considered included Vietnam and Japan. After evaluating everything, we concluded there was just too much being left out of Japan and Southeast Asia. Our owners have traveled to this part of the world many times, taking their children and even many grand children to this part of the world, because of their love of Southeast Asia. This is a brand-new AmaWaterways Cruise we are introducing in 2023. The owners of Fun For Less Tours, after experi encing this cruise and itinerary, knew it should go directly to the top of everyone’s list – we had to offer it to our passengers! Michel Wilcox, who loves France, jumped at the chance to be part of this special cruise and tour. The “Colors of Provence” is the right name. During the summer in Southern France, most every window and building in the villages and cities are adorned in beautiful flowers, BUT the best time of all is when the South of France is covered in Lavender fields. Stunning is not a strong enough word to describe fields of Tulips in Bloom. The mixture of almost every color in the color spectrum is on display. It is truly an experience you will never forget! Weather and tulips blooming can never be fully predicted. History has shown the very best time of year to see the best of the Tulips is the middle to end of April. AmaWaterways knows that cruises that start after 15 April and end by May 1, have the best opportunity to see the Tulips at their best. During that time our charter discount is smaller, but still more than fair. We have contracted for two charters during their prime time. The owners of Fun For Less Tours experienced a Tulip Cruise during the last ½ of April in 2019. They couldn’t have hit it any better. They already knew how wonderful Amsterdam is with its canals, windmills and museums and they had already visited Bruges, that is often considered better than Amsterdam, with its old village atmosphere and wonderful canals. The cruise took them to new villages and areas that they had not visited in the past. They loved visiting the dikes that hold back the sea, the village of Hoorn, the Grott Bijgaarden Castles Floral Show outside of Brussels and they loved the village of Ghent. But, what struck them the most was the stunning beauty of the colorful Tulip fields found everywher. Visiting this part of the world any other time of year, pales in comparison to Tulip season

AmaWaterways offers 7-night cruises starting March 20, with the last one ending May 7. The breeding of Tulips has extended the time Tulips can be seen. There are early blooming, normal blooming, and late blooming Tulips. The best of the best can be seen at Keukenhof Gardens, a little less than an hour’s drive out of Amsterdam. Every year more than 7 million flower bulbs are planted in autumn to bloom in spring. There is a variety of 800 different Tulips spread over almost 80 acres. There are 9 miles of footpaths through out the park, you can do as little or as much as you would like walking the park. Beautiful Tulips are everywhere. A unique and unforgettable experience for everyone. They are open from March 21 through May 10. The ship stops there for 3 plus hours, enough time to see less than ½ of the enormous Tulip extravaganza. Before we charter a train or ship, the owners have to experience it first, to check out the quality and itinerary. There were three things that convinced them they needed to charter trains in Africa for our passengers.

• Bathrooms and Showers: On our Africa luxury trains EVERY cabin has an attached private bathroom. On our Siberia and Silk Road Trains, that we have chartered, only a few cabins included an attached bathroom and shower. the majority of the cabins did not have a private bathroom attached to their cabin. They did have shared public toilets and showers in each car. Having the luxury of having a bathroom attached to each train cabin was impressive.

• Charter Pricing: They offered us huge savings if we chartered the whole train. The normal train portion of your package price, per person in the Elephant Cabin, is $9,670 per person. This is more than a fair price when you consider each luxury train cabin has a private attached bathroom. But, that is not good enough for us. By chartering the whole train, we were able to save our passengers $1,500 PER PERSON. Our passengers pay only $8,170 per person for the Elephant cabin. We also have added an educator and tour managers while still giving you the huge savings.

• Open Lounge Cars: The Siberia Trains and the Silk Road Trains, do not include a lounge car for socializing, reading or playing games. Our Africa Train has two lounge cars where guests can gather with large windows to look out. They also have an area where you can step outside onto an open-air deck to take pictures. Impressive is the best word to describe the luxury train.

Why NOW is the Time!

Jim and Carol Tyndall, along with Jamie, their daughter (all owners of Fun For Less Tours), were able to experience this fantastic part of the world on a private train. After the trip, they agreed to charter the whole train for our groups – BUT, they needed to redesign the trains itinerary and needed to add the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. A train is not like a bus that you can just take a different road, pull over almost anywhere and stop or park. Getting permission to travel by rail, wanting to stop and park your train like a bus is not easy. It took close to a year of working with all of the governments and local train companies to get permission to change our itinerary and add the additional two Stans - Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, The only reason this is possible, is because we are chartering the whole train, changing the itinerary, and adding additional nights on the train.

A few things to consider:

• The huge price savings from our chartering the whole train. As far as we know, no one has ever chartered the entire private train through the Silk Road in Central Asia. Chartering the whole train created huge savings. Our price on the train is $1,300 per person less than what the train company charges when it is not a Charter AND they do not include all 5 countries and our improved itinerary! That is only reserved for our charters.

• NO LONG DRIVES! On Jim and Carol’s trip they met many people traveling through the Silk Road by bus. When they asked how they liked their tour, every one said they loved the sites, and the hotels, but the long drives were exhausting and grueling! They spent ½ of their time or more doing long drives. There were many days of driving that were 6 hours or more before they reached the next area to tour. Then when they arrived, they were given less time than they would have liked to see the sights. WE HAVE NO LONG DRIVES! We will travel by train at night and then tour during the day. Some of the bus travelers they met said they had looked at the train but it only visited 3 of the Stan countries. They wanted all 5, so they went by bus. • First: We require the luxury Gold Leaf Train Cars. The Rock Mountaineer trains offer two classes of service: The Deluxe Silver Leaf Cars have large windows, good seats and quality meals at your seat, but they don’t come close to the quiet and luxury of the Gold Leaf Cars. The Gold Leaf Train Cars have two stories with an elevator. On the upper floor the windows go from your seat up and over the ceiling to the other side. The roof is glass, offering the best views of the scenic Rocky Mountains. The bottom floor has a 5-Star restaurant, where the meals are served and an outside balcony for fresh air and optimal picture taking.

• Second: We must have specific hotels. There are plenty of good hotels in every area we visit, but for us, there is only one hotel that we are willing to accept, in each area. The Luxury Fairmont hotel in each area is a cut above everything else. Everyone, traveling in the Gold Leaf class of service, would want to stay in the Fairmont’s. But, that is physically impossible. Many companies can get into one or two Fairmont’s, but from what we understand, we are the only company or among the very few that have been able to get into every luxury Fairmont we requested!!

Between the Gold Leaf Service and staying in all of the luxury Fairmont hotels, this tour is a little more expensive, but believe us when we say, the experience will be worth every penny!!
