If you are receiving this mailer, you are on a tour or cruise that was cancelled and postponed in 2020 or 2021 – then rescheduled to 2022. Many travel companies have gone out of business, creating a loss for all those that purchased travel with them. We are NOT one of those companies. The 9/11 terrorist attack in 2001 and the stock market crash in 2008, should have taught everyone in travel a lesson – for at least a year or more after, all travel was substantially impacted - putting many companies out of business. Fun For Less Tours survived both of these major interruptions. Believing such an event could likely happen again in the future – our company started preparing for such an unforeseen event. Since 2010, we have always kept our office rent paid two years in advance and started putting money aside to pay employees, if such an event were to happen again in the future. Not in our wildest nightmares did we see the Coronavirus disaster coming. This was not a few months of shut down followed by slow growth – this was close to two years of NO TRAVEL! But, at least we were somewhat prepared. For two years the Tyndall Family, who are the owners of Fun For Less Tours, did not take a pay check or any other money from the company. They still had to work 50 to 60-hour weeks to get everything that needed to be done with cancelling, rescheduling, often having to cancel and reschedule a second time. The real thanks goes to our loyal and patient staff that have all stayed with us. For over two years they have worked with our thousands of passengers, that were postponed and rescheduled to only be postponed again and rescheduled again. Not only did all of our staff stay with us, they also took a 25% pay cut for 2 years, to help keep the company solvent! Few companies in the world, have such loyal employees. Keeping a promise made to our passengers: Fun For Less Tours, told everyone, whose tour was postponed – that their prices would be locked in and they would not have to pay additional money when their tour or cruise finally went. In the beginning everyone believed the Coronavirus would be like the SARS virus of 2003 and end up being short lived. At first everyone was willing to keep pricing the same – but when postponements moved into everything being shut down for two years, some of the hotels, bus companies, guides and even those paid entrance fees, refused to keep the same pricing as promised. With the impact of fuel costs and increased costs required to get employees to return or even find enough employees – the cost to get all of you on your postponed tour or cruise increased, on average, several hundred dollars per person. Multiply that by thousands of postponed passengers and you will get the idea of the full impact on trying to keep everyone’s prices locked in. In order to keep our company’s commitment, we have borrowed money to make sure you get the tour or cruise you were promised, at the originally price you paid. We really care about our passengers, their happiness and want to deliver the best tour or cruise possible. The good news is – it has finally happened. Experience 7 African Countries Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland and Lesotho Before we charter a train or ship, the owners have to experience it first, to check out the quality and itinerary. There were three things that convinced them they needed to charter trains in Africa for our passengers. • Bathrooms and Showers: On our Africa luxury trains EVERY cabin has an attached private bathroom. On our Siberia and Silk Road Trains, that we have chartered, only a few cabins included an attached bathroom and shower. the majority of the cabins did not have a private bathroom attached to their cabin. They did have shared public toilets and showers in each car. Having the luxury of having a bathroom attached to each train cabin was impressive. • Charter Pricing: They offered us huge savings if we chartered the whole train. The normal train portion of your package price, per person in the Elephant Cabin, is $9,670 per person. This is more than a fair price when you consider each luxury train cabin has a private attached bathroom. But, that is not good enough for us. By chartering the whole train, we were able to save our passengers $1,500 PER PERSON. Our passengers pay only $8,170 per person for the Elephant cabin. We also have added an educator and tour managers while still giving you the huge savings. • Open Lounge Cars: The Siberia Trains and the Silk Road Trains, do not include a lounge car for socializing, reading or playing games. Our Africa Train has two lounge cars where guests can gather with large windows to look out. They also have an area where you can step outside onto an open-air deck to take pictures. Impressive is the best word to describe the luxury train.

We Bring You More! Money is not the only difference between us and the train company. Their passengers visit 4 countries and go home, when their train trip is finished. Royal Caribbean introduced us to the possibilities of doing Japan from a ship. But, as we studied the itineraries offered by ships, all missed some of the best areas of Japan and NONE that we found would be there during the beautiful Cherry Blossom Season. The original Royal Caribbean Cruise we considered included Vietnam and Japan. After evaluating everything, we concluded there was just too much being left out of Japan and Southeast Asia. Our owners have traveled to this part of the world many times, taking their children and even many grand children to this part of the world, because of their love of Southeast Asia. Traveling the Silk Road - Central Asia

Central Asia - The Heart of the Silk Road

The Silk Road brought riches to Central Asia, which was used to create some of the most beautiful buildings in the world. The best way to describe Central Asia’s Architecture is Unique, Majestic and Breathtakingly Beautiful. In Samarkand alone there were billions upon billions of tiles used to create some of the most beautiful structures in the world that date back to the 1400s. Central Asia’s architecture is not only beautiful on the outside it is also unique and beautiful on the inside!!

Why NOW is the Time! Jim and Carol Tyndall, along with Jamie, their daughter (all owners of Fun For Less Tours), were able to experience this fantastic part of the world on a private train. At the time, the train only visited 3 Stan Countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan & Turkmenistan. The train did not visit Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan. Knowing the train missed the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, they went in early to explore the areas the train missed. Even though they had all traveled to over a hundred countries, they knew almost nothing about Central Asia and its history of the Silk Road. To say they were overwhelmed with the ancient beauty and their people – would be an understatement. Jamie felt it was the best trip she had taken anywhere in the world. To Jim and Carol it shot right up near the top of all the places they have ever visited. After the trip, they agreed to charter the whole train for our groups – BUT, they needed to redesign the trains itinerary and needed to add the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. A train is not like a bus that you can just take a different road, pull over almost anywhere and stop or park. Getting permission to travel by rail, wanting to stop and park your train like a bus is not easy. It took close to a year of working with all of the governments and local train companies to get permission to change our itinerary and add the additional two Stans - Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, The only reason this is possible, is because we are chartering the whole train, changing the itinerary, and adding additional nights on the train. A few things to consider: • The huge price savings from our chartering the whole train. As far as we know, no one has ever chartered the entire private train through the Silk Road in Central Asia. Chartering the whole train created huge savings. Our price on the train is $1,300 per person less than what the train company charges when it is not a Charter AND they do not include all 5 countries and our improved itinerary! That is only reserved for our charters. • NO LONG DRIVES! On Jim and Carol’s trip they met many people traveling through the Silk Road by bus. When they asked how they liked their tour, every one said they loved the sites, and the hotels, but the long drives were exhausting and grueling! They spent ½ of their time or more doing long drives. There were many days of driving that were 6 hours or more before they reached the next area to tour. Then when they arrived, they were given less time than they would have liked to see the sights. WE HAVE NO LONG DRIVES! We will travel by train at night and then tour during the day. Some of the bus travelers they met said they had looked at the train but it only visited 3 of the Stan countries. They wanted all 5, so they went by bus. You will get all 5 Stans without any long drives, plus you will have plenty of time to enjoy the many beautiful sites. Please, Please, Please listen to us. This is the BEST designed tour of the Silk Road, the BEST in hotels, the BEST deluxe train – All at the BEST price you will ever see!! We have chartered the whole train in 2023. We do not know when we will be able to do it again. If you want to experience one of the most unique and exotic tours in the world, while traveling on luxury train – this needs to jump to the top of your list. This is the first time we have been able to put together a luxurious Galapagos Cruise. Celebrity is highly awarded in its quality of ships, service and food. What makes this opportunity sweet is our agreement to charter Celebrity’s whole ship. The ship can take 98 passengers plus 58 crew members. We are only taking a grand total of 48 passengers along with the 58 crew members on each of our two chartered cruises. With a smaller group we will have more time ashore and also be able to do two islands a day instead of just one. Dr. Michael Wilcox will be the educator for both sailings. Late November, early December is a great time to visit Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
