COFFEE MAKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING การชงกาแฟ เครื่องทํากาแฟ กับการแกปญหาเบื้องตน

Technical malfunction is a real-life concern for operators of coffee shops, restaurants, and other establishments whose coffee machines are used throughout the day. Problems, minor and major, all require fixing either on site or at the service center. That invariably translates into loss of productivity, sales and time. However, if you know how to diagnose a problem at a basic level, you may be able to resolve the situation yourself in no time.

Low coffee temperature Newcomers to the world of coffee may not be aware of the fact that the optimal temperature for making coffee is not 100 C , like boiling water. Coffee tastes its best when brewed at approximately 94 C .

We also noticed that many users forget to warm their coffeeware like the pitchers and the cups. If your machine is a semi-automatic type with a group handle, this group handle should be re-attached to the group head in order to keep it warm and to keep everything looking clean. Most importantly, do not forget to warm your coffee cups before serving. That is crucial.

Imperfect coffee dripping Coffee is not dripping or dripping too slow: Several factors can contribute to this problem: For instance, there may be no water in the reservoir or the water level is too low. If the machine is small with a single boiler, it is possible that a user has left the milk steam function on. Other potential causes include grinding coffee beans too fine, pressing coffee grounds too hard in the handle, or clogging of the filler basket.

Recheck these items one by one and rectify as necessary.

Coffee dripping too fast: Possible causes are too coarse grinding of coffee beans, too light pressing of coffee, or insufficient amount of coffee. Check each of these one by one in order to arrive at the cause and correct it. If your machine is an automatic one, the only thing you can check is the coarseness or fineness of the grounds or whether the grinding teeth are functioning properly. It is not advisable for machine owners to inspect the functioning of the brewing unit on their own.

Coffee spilling out of the rim of the filler basket: Recheck the alignment of the group handle with the group head, and ensure that there is no residual coffee around the rim or in the filler basket.

Another possibility is the degradation of the gaskets which are good for 3-6 months, depending on frequency of usage. These gaskets can be replaced. Please see if that is the case.

Academy IInconsistent coffee quality InI the case of a semi-automatic coffee machine, if your coffee is of iinconsistent strength or aroma, it is possibly because of a dull grinder. When tthis happens, the grinding process becomes more like crushing. This has a direct effect on the taste of your coffee. See also if your coffee is too oold and how well it is stored. These factors can influence both the aroma aand the taste of your coffee, regardless of the type of machine you use.

ปญหากาแฟไมรอน

ปญหานี้ มือใหมคงพบเจอบอยๆ เนือ่ งจากไมทราบวา อุณหภูมิของนํ้ากาแฟไมใช 100 องศาเซลเซียส เหมือนกับการที่เราตมนํ้าเพื่อชงกาแฟสําเร็จรูป กาแฟรสชาติดีจะมีอุณภูมิความรอนประมาณ 94 องศาเซลเซียส และอีกสาเหตุทเี่ ราพบเจอบอย คือการใชอุปกรณในการใสกาแฟที่ไมไดวอรม ใหรอ นเสียกอน อาทิ พิชเชอรชงกาแฟ ถวยกาแฟ ในกรณีที่เปนเครื่องชงกาแฟระบบกึ่งอัตโนมัติ ทีต่ อ งใชดา มอัดกาแฟ อาจไมไดอดั ดามอัดกลับไป ที่หัวกรุปหลังการใชงาน ซึ่งการอัดดามอัดไวที่ ตําแหนงหัวกรุป นัน้ เปนการวอรมดามอัดไปในตัว อี ก ทั้ ง ยั ง ทํ า ให แ ลดู ส ะอาดตาอี ก ด ว ย และ ที่สําคัญอยาลืมอุนแกวกาแฟกอนใชงานนะคะ อันนีถ้ อื ไดวา เปนหัวใจสําคัญเลยคะ

เครื่องที่ใชดามอัด หรือตะกรากรองในดามอัด เกิดการอุดตัน ใหตรวจสอบถึงปญหาทีละจุด แลวแกไข กาแฟไหลเร็วเกินไป เปนไปไดวา การบดเมล็ดกาแฟ อาจหยาบเกินไป กดกาแฟเบาไป หรือใสกาแฟ นอยเกินไป ลองตรวจสอบทีละขั้นตอนเพื่อหา สาเหตุ ที่ แ ท จ ริ ง แล ว แก ไ ขป ญ หาให ต รงจุ ด ถาเปนเครื่องระบบอัตโนมัติอาจตรวจสอบได เพี ย งความหยาบ ความละเอี ย ดของกาแฟ เทานัน้ วาฟนบดของเรายังทํางานเปนปกติอยูไ หม แตไมแนะนําใหตรวจสอบการทํางานของบริวอิ้ง ยูนติ วาทํางานสมบูรณหรือไมดว ยตัวเองคะ

ปญหาเครื่องมีเสียงดังมากขณะใชงาน กาแฟไหลออกหรือทะลักออกจากขอบตะกรา (เครื่องที่ใชนํ้าจากถังเก็บนํ้า หรือไมได กรอง อาจเกิดจากใสดามอัดไมถูกตองตรงตาม ตอทอนํ้าตรงเขาตัวเครื่อง)

Boncafe Booth As in previous years, Boncafe (Thailand) Co., Ltd. enjoyed great success with—not 1, but 2 booths in the World of Coffee & Tea Zone. The main booth at MM01 was a showcase of products from various brands. We launched new Thai and Hong Kong style tea products, as well as the delicious Nishio matcha and Uji matcha green teas. Those in the market for a new coffee machine were able to take advantage of great promotions at the fair as well.

True Artisan Caf é The second Boncafe booth at PP71 was the True Artisan Caf , whose innovative concept has garnered several international awards at «

foreign trade fairs over the years. Boncafe was entrusted as the organizer for its premiere in Thailand. The main stars of this booth were the La Marzocco coffee machines. In addition to the Boncafe trainers, Andrea Curtarelli and Ettore Scagliola from La Marzocco were also present to give useful advice to potential buyers and to enjoy friendly conversations with fans of the brand that came to check out their favorite models and participate in our booth’s fun activities.

Exclusive Coffee Workshops We conducted free workshops for both coffee industry veterans and newcomers. In addition to the “Succeeding in Coffee Business” course, which has contributed to the rise of more than 1,000 entrepreneurs over the years, other courses included new ones like “International Coffee Menu” and “Coffee Shop Innovations.” Another workshop, “Into the World of Syrups,” was conducted by a team of experienced Boncafe trainers in collaboration with Torani CEO Melanie Dulbecco from San Francisco, who spoke about trends involving smoothies and mocktails to the delight of participants.

News “We were very pleased with the number of visitors and activity participants, and the sales or volume of product reservations at THAIFEX this year. This is particularly true for the La Marzocco machines at the True Artisan Caf«, which attracted immense interest from those who already knew the brand, as well as potential customers who might have heard of the name but lacked a deep understanding of how La Marzocco earned its global status. And there were people who wanted to learn more about the coffee business and did not have any prior exposure to La Marzocco. They came to talk to us, tried the machines, and were impressed. We used THAIFEX as the venue for our launch of the La Marzocco 80 Leva model. This lever system machine is capable of delivering perfect tasting coffee every time. As a result, the volume of sales and bookings at the show exceeded our expectations.

There was interest in other coffee machine brands as well, including the automatic capsule coffee machines we produce under our own Boncafe brand. The Boncafe lines of coffee capsules were offered with the most enticing promotional offers. Our tea capsules, featuring Thai tea, Hong Kong tea, and authentic matcha from Uji and Nishio, are gaining much interest. They were all very well received. Our new flavors of frappe powder received compliments from users for being practical with popular drinks in Thailand and for being reasonably priced. My thanks go out to the collective Boncafe team for their efforts in delivering a perfect show this year. And, certainly, we must express our gratitude towards the customers and the visitors to our booths.”

The 80 Leva is designed with the lever pointing upwards. To operate the machine, simply pull this lever down all the way and hold for a moment before releasing it back to the original position.

This action allows the compressed spring to expand, thereby allowing pressurized hot water to go through the coffee in the filter and then into the cup. Intensity and consistency are ensured as a result. It’s coffee not only tastes good, but the machine looks good also, giving your coffee shop an additional attraction for visitors to see.

1) In a glass bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, Salted Caramel Powder, and creamy peanut butter. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir and then heat an additional 30 seconds. Stir until smooth (if necessary, heat an additional 15 seconds).

3) Heat the milk chocolate chips for 30 seconds in a glass bowl in the microwave. Stir and heat an additional 30 seconds. At this point, the white chocolate would have hardened. Holding the tip of the cracker, dip opposite side of cracker into melted milk chocolate, tap and lay on the parchment paper to set. Repeat until all crackers are dipped.

Allow to set, about 15-30 minutes. What are the methods you use to promote your coffee shop? Posters and flyers are probably the most common options. Advertisement in free weekly magazines, local newspapers, or on community radio may cost more than what you are prepared to pay. One cannot help but wonder about the efficiency of such avenues, and whether or not they are really capable of bringing in more traffic and by how much. This can be difficult to gauge unless you ask each individual customer to complete a questionnaire.

This is where social media comes in. Facebook, for example, reaches out to a wide audience.

As such, its role has become more central in the operation of large and small businesses today.

Naturally, some may argue that it cannot be that relevant, that people come to buy coffee at a certain place because the location is convenient for them or because they simply enjoy the taste of coffee there. Instead of jumping to conclusions now, let’s review the following facts.

Views, Likes and Shares are Indicators.

Facebook tells us the number of people reached by a post in real time, as well as listing the number of comments it inspired. No guessing or waiting is involved. That photograph of your cappuccino frappe or your coffee table by the waterfall may be shared more than a dozen times by your customers. Similarly, a video of your top barista at work may be viewed a hundred times, a thousand times (or even ten-thousand times) in just a matter of days. While it is true that sales may not increase instantly, it cannot be denied that Facebook is a highly efficient communication tool with which to reach a large number of people.

The above is an example of free publicity through Facebook. You can, however, choose to have paid promotion where you can use an on-line tool to specify the gender, age and areas of interest of your target audience. Your advertising can be geared to increase page likes or post reaches, as well as to increase viewership of your existing web site or blog. Additionally, you can choose to present your advertising as a single photograph, multiple photographs, a slideshow or a video. Advertising can be limited to the area of your choice, a certain radius in kilometers, a province or provinces, as well as to a particular target group.

For example, if your coffee shop is in the Muang District of Chiang Rai, you may limit your advertising to adjacent areas, your likely customers or only to the people who have liked your page in order to ensure that your message is delivered.

1. Spent coffee grounds We are a magazine for coffee lovers so, naturally, we have to feature our favorite indulgence first of all. Spent coffee grounds work wonders on the skin. You can use it to scrub all parts of the body for softer skin. Ladies are advised to use clean and dried coffee grounds with a light scent of coffee remaining. (Do not use grounds which have been kept for a prolonged period of time, as it may have mold.) Once you have a cup of the right stuff, mix in 2 tablespoons of turmeric and a cup of yoghurt then stir thoroughly. Rub gently on the skin during a bath and leave on for 15-30 minutes.

Do this regularly, once or twice a week. It will help clarify and brighten the skin by making acne spots and blemishes less pronounced.

Pure olive oil is extracted cold. Rich with nutrients and unsaturated fatty acid, olive oil purges contaminants and toxins in the body for a clarified and more moisturized skin.

Its antioxidants and vitamin e help to slow the aging process of the skin.

Olive oil is quickly absorbed into the skin and does not leave a sticky feeling.

It can be used on acne to kill germs or used in combination with other skin nourishment creams. If you find your facial skin to be dry and dull, apply a small amount of olive oil after washing your face, before your facial skin cream. The olive oil will help with the absorption and the efficiency of the latter. And it is not only the skin that olive oil is good for. You can use it to treat your hair.

This is easily done by wetting your hair with olive oil before you shampoo. Alternatively, you can mix olive oil with egg yolk and coat your hair with the mixture for 15 minutes before washing off. Your hair will be smoother and more flowing than before.

3. Honey Honey is found in bee hives and is created when their store of nectar from flowers and other sources goes through a process of physical and chemical transformation. It is used to sweeten food and drinks because of its unique succulent taste and scent. There are beauty applications to honey as well—heal dry and flaky facial skin by mixing one egg yolk with one tablespoon of honey.

Stir well and cover your face with the mixture for 10 minutes before rinsing. Honey can be used to make hair soft and shiny as well. After shampooing, coat your hair with a mixture of 3 tablespoons honey and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Leave for 5 minutes then wash off.

55. Lime

G Given its distinctly sour taste, nutritious and medically beneficial lime is frequently used to season food. Lime juice ccontains several organic compounds such as citric and malic aacid, as well as vitamin c. It is capable of reducing acne, aas it cleanses the oily contaminants out. Drink freshly squeezed lime juice for at least two consecutive weeks. To heal acne, ccombine 1 teaspoon of lime juice with 1 teaspoon of egg whites.

AApply it on the acne and leave for 30 minutes before washing off wwith a gentle facial foam or gel. The last use is to rub its skin on your hhands, elbows or knees to make them smoother.

44. CCucumber b Thai cuisine finds use for cucumbers all the time as an ingredient and as a side dish. Cucumber is rich in vitamin c, calcium, silica and potassium. As a skin food, it clarifies and moisturizes the skin. Because it helps with premature signs of aging, young ladies like to put thin cucumber slices on their face to induce purging of skin cells so that newer ones can emerge. Cucumber works wonders on dark circles under the eyes. Cut refrigerated cucumber into thin slices and cover the eyes with them for about 30 minutes. The coolness will improve blood circulation around the eyes for a fresher, brighter appearance.

Up-Cycled Second Life Stuctures เปลี่ยนคอนเทนเนอรที่ปลดระวางแลวมาเปนรานกาแฟเกๆ ไดไมยาก A decommissioned shipping container can be converted into a chic coffee shop with relative ease. It is the perfect solution when you have the space but not the wish to invest too much into infrastructure or a building.

And it does not take too much time at all.

First, you need to familiarize yourself with the different container types, sizes and materials.

The containers we see converted into living quarters or offices are dry cargo containers.

These are easy to acquire and do not need extensive modification. Containers are sold from sources on Bangna-Trad Road, at the shipping ports, and also on web sites. It is up to you to choose the size that matches your application. Most of these containers measure either 2.5 x 6 x 2.45 meters or 2.5 x 12 x 2.45 meters. The going price is from 35,000 to 120,000 Baht.

Then, you should study the integrity of containers to ensure that it is optimal for your use.

1. Pillars and beams Containers are built in a similar fashion to a house. They have pillars at the corners and connecting beams between them, like in a concrete structure.

We next look at how to install your container.

It is not advisable to place a container directly on the ground, particularly in Bangkok where the soil is soft.
