The Rolex GMT-Master Ref. 1675 is considered to be an extremely important part of Rolex’s history, with numerous
valuable
variations
making
themselves
known to this day. One of the most mythical, and highlyprized GMT-Master Ref. 1675 variations is nicknamed “Blueberry”, an exceptionally rare variant with only about 500 examples known to exist. Its origins continue to be shrouded in mystery, with experts speculating that these watches were a special order by a retailer or the French or UAE military in the 1970s. Adding to the rarity of this example is the inclusion of an all-red GMT hand, with perfectly-aged patina on the dial and luminescent hands, and an exceptionally-preserved bezel insert. Further cementing its value to collectors is the inclusion of its complete set, accompanied by its presentation box and original papers, together with the original wallet and calendar.

One look at the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5271P-001 is all it takes to know that this is a serious timepiece for serious collectors. Both its features and facade showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and desirabilty of the house’s watches, with the 5271P upping the ante even more for Patek Philippe connoisseurs. From its unique in-house perpetual calendar chronograph complication to its exceptionally bold design statements in black, platinum, and diamond, the 5271P-001 is clearly not just for show. It’s an impressive piece fit to be the centerpiece of any collection. Details That Demand Attention Undoubtedly the first thing to catch one’s eye with the 5271P is its glimmering collection of 58 baguette diamonds (~3.63 carats each), 38 of which are spaced evenly into the bezel with the rest accenting each of the 4 lugs. They grab your attention and draw your eye to the contrasting platinum case and black dial, the latter of which positions a number of timekeeping details within its 41 mm diameter without compromising its efficient legibility.
16
The watch comes with an alligator strap with square scales, handstitched and polished black to match the rest of the aesthetic. The watch also includes a fold-over platinum deployant clasp with its own set of 22 baguette diamonds, each measuring ~0.97 carats each. Made for Movement Since this is a Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar timepiece, it comes with the design hallmarks of the mechanism. This includes twin aperture windows at the 12 o’clock position that display day and month, and, in a first for perpetual chronographs with colored dials, feature black backgrounds to match the rest of the dial. This dial itself is a deep, lacquered black, with applied gold hour markers and a baguette diamond at the 12 o’clock marker. A 2-level tachymeter scale is inscribed into the outer edge of the 5271P’s dial and includes a few nice touches. First is the removal of the “double-chin” caused by the moonphase sub-dial’s dip into the scale at 6 o’clock that made an appearance on earlier reference 5270 dials; instead the overlap is cleanly delineated with no warping of the design. Next is the addition of an inner ring with 0-60 markers, recalling touches from classic chronograph designs found in references such as the 5970 and 2499.
At its core lies the CH 29-535 PS Q caliber, a manual winding chronograph with a center hand and instantaneous 30-minute counter in addition to its perpetual calendar and moonphase functions. It’s Patek Philippe’s first in-house perpetual calendar chronograph movement, with 456 parts and 33 jewels sitting alongside a Gyromax balance and Breguet balance spring. Patek Philippe’s patented gear tooth profile also makes an appearance within the CH29-535 movement, slightly inclined in one direction to remove the common hand jump when engaging or disengaging the chronograph. These gorgeous details and more can be viewed through the rear sapphire window. With the chronograph disengaged, the 5271P has a top limit of 65 hours. A Future Collectible Like most storied Patek Philippe references, the 5271P-001 commands a stable value that is expected to only increase in the future. The addition of exclusive details like the matching aperture backgrounds, lauded in-house chronograph movement, and sizable complement of baguette diamonds further add to its striking appeal. The 5271P-001 will be right at home as the shining spotlight of any Patek Philippe enthusiast’s ensemble.

PATEK PHILIPPE PERPETUAL CALENDAR REF. 3448
Rare is the watch that carries with it both a bold, timeless design and a pioneering heritage. In a family of watches each with their own exquisite luxury, the Patek Philippe Reference 3448 is a statement all its own. While the 3448 reference enjoys the rarity of a limited production, particularly for certain materials, it is first and foremost lauded for its position as the first automatic perpetual calendar watch, from any manufacturer. While Patek Philippe itself did not invent the perpetual calendar, it was one of the first to put the the mechanism into production in early pocket and wristwatches in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This all culminated in the reference 3448 seen here today. But as with all landmark Patek Philippe watches, the 3448 has many stories to tell, which we’ll learn more as we delve into both its appearance and history. A Sharp Departure of Design The first and most important detail one notices about the 3448 are its lugs. Four clean, sharp points angle out from the round case, a stark change from previous complication references from the house that classically made use of straight or curved lugs. The 3448’s lugs made a bold statement both in hand and on the wrist, making them an instant, iconic classic, accentuating the rest of the reference’s futuristic design. This design, nicknamed “Disco Volante” or “Flying Saucer” by Italian collectors was the purview of Geneva-based casemaker Antoine Gerlach, himself responsible for many Patek Philippe designs. The weighty 37.5mm case featured a snap-on caseback, and manufactured in limited quantities in yellow gold, white gold, and especially limited in rose gold (with one known example) and platinum (with only two known examples). The 3448’s dial itself executes the symmetric, futuristic design flawlessly. Twin aperture windows at the 12 o’clock position display day and month, while the date and moonphase sub-dial makes its home at 6 o’clock. The dial design had slight changes across its four series between its production years of 1962 and 1981, and this example, made in 1978, features the fourth series’ small baton minute divisions. From its crisp dial features to its statement lugs, it would be an understatement to call the reference 3448 a beautiful timepiece.
50
A History of Movement The Patek Philippe Reference 3448 is powered by the caliber 27-460 Q, with the “Q” designating the perpetual calendar (“Quantieme Perpetuel”) addition to the 27460 automatic movement that came without. Within its four ruby wheels and solid-gold rotor lies a 38-power reserve, acclaimed for its impressive and refined efficiency. This execution carries over into its moonphase display which not only automatically adjusts for February and leap years, but should it remain wound also requires no correction until the year 2100. This only underscores how impressive the 3448 was, considering it was the first of its kind as a serially-produced, self-winding perpetual calendar wristwatch.
103 PATEK PHILIPPE A HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT, EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY FINE PERPETUAL CALENDAR REF. 3448, CIRCA 1978 Movement: Automatic, self-winding Dial: White dial, 18K applied yellow gold hour markers and hands, sub-dial indicating moon phases, apertures indicating day, date Case: 18K yellow gold, 37.5mm Bracelet: Shiny burgundy leather with 18K yellow gold pin-buckle. Accompanied by presentation box, certificate, extract from archives.
Estimate upon request
With both a groundbreaking design and heritage, the 3448’s value looks to only climb in the foreseeable future. This is even before you factor in the rarity of specific pieces, like the Unique Patek Philippe 3448 that sold at Sotheby’s in 2008 that featured a special sub-dial designed specifically for Alan Banbery, a Patek Philippe employee for almost 50 years. And then there’s the legendary story of the rose gold 3448 that sold at Christie’s Geneva for over 2 million CHF after residing in its owner’s vault for over 40 years. Nearly every appearance of a 3448 has done well at auction, and the value of a well-maintained example will only grow over time. The item featured here was originally bought in Paris in a boutique at Place Vendôme by an important local collector, and comes with a complete box set of papers and archive extracts. The example was recently serviced in its home of Patek Philippe Geneva. 51

DAYTONA PAUL NEWMAN REF. 6240
ROLEX DAYTONA “PAUL NEWMAN” REFERENCE 6240 Made famous by actor, racecar driver, and philanthropist Paul Newman, the Paul Newman Daytona references have risen to become one of the most valued and sought-after timepieces in recent history. Its legend is well-known among even the most novice of watch collectors and enthusiasts and continues to break records at auction houses all over the world. The characteristic that sets a Paul Newman Daytona apart from the rest of the Daytona range lies in its “exotic” dial, which features an art deco style font for the numerals on the sub dials, and a small step in the dial between the outer minute tracker and the center of the dial.
DAYTONA HISTORY After Rolex first served as official timekeeper for the Daytona International Speedway in Florida in 1962, Rolex nicknamed their Cosmograph Reference 6239 “Daytona” to emphasize their affiliation with the prestigious auto race. Paul Newman’s personal Daytona made world-famous was a Ref. 6239 with an exotic dial, and his influence led to collectors nicknaming this style of Daytona as the “Paul Newman”. Rolex then went on to apply various changes to the Daytona model through the years.
Rolex debuted prototype screw down pushers with the Ref. 6240 in 1965. The Ref. 6262 and Ref. 6264 returned to the use of push-buttons with a metal bezel (Ref. 6262) and acrylic bezel (Ref. 6264), manufactured from 1970 to 1972. References 6263 and 6265 returned to final versions of the screw down pushers improving the Daytona’s water resistance, and were manufactured from 1971 to 1987.
106 ROLEX DAYTONA “PAUL NEWMAN” REF. 6240, CIRCA 1967 Movement: Mechanical, hand-winding chronograph Dial: Black tri-color dial with applied luminescent hour markers and steel hands, red minute track, three white sub-dials indicating seconds, minutes, hours, central chronograph hand Case: Stainless steel, acrylic tachymeter bezel, 37.5mm Bracelet: Original stainless steel Rolex bracelet with folding clasp
PHP 12,000,000 - 20,000,000
The Paul Newman Daytona Reference 6240 is so considerably rare, that some experts wonder if it ever existed at all, claiming that Ref. 6240 Paul Newmans are actually just the more common Ref. 6241 dial placed on a Ref. 6240 case. We now know for a fact that the mythical Ref. 6240 Paul Newman does exist, represented by the piece we are showcasing here. This Rolex Daytona Paul Newman Ref. 6240 was purchased in 1968 and has remained with its original owner to this day. The T Swiss T markers on the dial shows the “Long” signature with “T’s” outside the 5-minute markers indicative of a Ref. 6240 dial. There were three runs of the prototype Ref. 6240 in production: the 1.2M serial range in 1965 with the “solo” Rolex marking or small “Daytona” logo; the 1.4M serial range in 1966 with the “solo” marking and large “Daytona” logo; and the 1.6M serial range in 1967 with the Paul Newman dial, together with “solo” and large “Daytona” marking. This piece also retains the extremely valuable, original mk0 brass prototype pushers. Two years after the release of the Ref. 6240, Rolex produced the Ref. 6263 with upgraded Valjoux 727 movements and a similar 3-color black dial taken from the then available Ref. 6262, with the “Oyster” marking on the third line. These would be known as Oyster “Soto” dials. This indicates that the Ref. 6263 Oyster Soto and Ref. 6240 Long Signature are the only two black-dial Paul Newman Daytonas with screw-down pusher cases in existence. This incredible timepiece has been assessed by experts both locally and abroad. It remains in remarkable condition after 50 years, with luminous details intact and original, period-correct N71 end links, and the original 7835 bracelet. By our research, the Daytona Paul Newman Ref. 6240 has been offered in auction houses around the world no more than five times in recent years, and cements itself as a true collectible worthy of celebration.
The importance of the Daytona Reference 6240 cannot be understated. As the first Daytona reference to implement screw down pushers in a Daytona, its historical significance is already well known. Add to the fact that what we have here is a Paul Newman variant, the significance of this timepiece skyrockets.

iamonds are known as symbols of rarity, beauty, and eternal love. These precious gemstones are highly coveted and adorn various
types of jewelry.
Traditionally mined, diamonds take billions of years to form and crystalize
under the earth. Over the years, technology has developed allowing for the cultivation of diamonds in an alternative manner. Cultured diamonds, also
known as lab grown or non-mined diamonds, are grown in highly controlled laboratory environments using advanced technology to mimic nature’s
conditions for diamond formation. Some liken this process to flowers cultivated in a greenhouse.
Today, cultured diamonds are recognized to have the same characteristics, chemical composition, physical properties, and structure as diamonds found
in nature. Considered diamonds, they are not the same as cubic zirconia and moissanite which are simulants that may look like diamonds but have different characteristics.
Four lots of cultured diamond jewelry are offered in this sale.

WATCH GLOSSARY
Automatic: A mechanical watch that is powered by the motion of the wearer’s wrist instead of manually twisting the crown.
Balance Wheel: A weighted wheel that oscillates at a constant rate which allows the hands to move via the watch’s gears.
Balance Spring: Also called a hairspring, it is connected to the balance wheel and regulates the rate at which a balance wheel oscillates. Bezel: The ring that surrounds the watch crystal, usually made from metal or ceramic.
Caliber: Another word for movement, it is mostly used when a manufacturer denotes a specific movement number or model. Case Back: The back side of a watch case that can be removed to access the inside of the watch. Chronograph: A type of watch that features an additional stopwatch function in addition to the main time. Complication: Additional functions of a watch besides telling the time. Examples are chronographs, calendars, or moonphases. Crown: A small knob on the side of the watch case which can be used to either adjust the time and date or, in the case of hand-wind movements, wind the watch to keep it running. Crystal: A clear protective cover for the dial, made from either synthetic sapphire, acrylic or glass.
76
Deployant Clasp: A type of watch strap buckle that closes by folding in on itself, then clasping. Dial: Or watch face, the dial displays the watch functions.
Exhibition Case Back: Also called an “open” or “display” case back, this is a transparent cover on the back side of a watch case, usually made from sapphire, glass, or acrylic, that allows you to view the inner workings of the movement.
Frequency: The speed at which a watch beats, measured in either vibrations per hour (vph) or hertz. The higher the vph, the “smoother” the second hand appears to sweep across the dial. Flyback Chronograph: A type of chronograph that can be reset without stopping the chronograph function. This function is used for when multiple times need to be recorded in quick succession.
GMT: A watch with a GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) function has the ability to track two time zones at once, often with an extra GMT hand for the “home” time. Guilloche: An engraved ornamental pattern, often used on watch dials, comprised of intricately intertwined lines.
Hacking Seconds: This function in a movement allows the user to stop the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out. This makes it easier to synchronize a watch with another timepiece.
Hand-wound: This refers to mechanical watches that don’t automatically wind through wrist movement and need to be powered by manually turning the crown to wind up the mainspring.
Movement: The “heart” or mechanism of a watch that can be either mechanical (automatic or hand-wound) or quartz (battery powered). Most watch manufacturers refer to their movements as “calibers.”
Horology: The art and/or science of measuring time.
Indices: Or “index hour markers”, they are markings on the dial of a watch used to represent the hours in place of numerals. In higher-end watches, these are usually “applied,” or attached to the dial, rather than printed on.
Jewels: Synthetic rubies or sapphires used as bearings at the heaviest points of wear in a watch movement to reduce friction between moving parts
Lugs: Pieces of metal that protrude at the top and bottom of a watch case where the strap is attached. The two ends of the lug hold a spring bar, where the strap is fastened. Luminescence: Also called “lume,” luminescence is the glow given off by watch numerals, indices and hands that have been coated with a photoluminescent material that allows them to be seen in the dark.
Mainspring: A torsion spring that stores the energy of a watch by becoming tightened when a watch is wound. The energy created by the spring unwinding is what powers the watch.
Power Reserve: The length of time that a mechanical watch can run after it’s been fully wound. Pusher: A button on a chronograph watch that starts, stops and/or resets its stopwatch function.
Quartz: A quartz movement is powered by a battery. The battery sends an electric signal via a microchip circuit to a small quartz crystal that then vibrates at a precise rate. Those vibrations regulate a stepper motor that moves the watch hands.
Retrograde: An indicator on a watch dial that is shaped as part of a circle instead of a full circle. When the indicator hits the end of its cycle, it resets back to the zero position by moving backward.
Skeleton: A transparent or partially cut-out dial that allows the movement to be viewed from the front of the watch. Small Seconds: A small sub-dial that displays the seconds.
World timer: A watch with a dial that can be adjusted to show the time in 24 different time zones represented by 24 major cities across the globe.
