ANTONIO FERRARA was born in Portici, near Naples, and lives and works in Novara with his wife Marianna, who is a photographer, and with cats Goffredo and Ginetto. It has a daugther called Martina, photographer she too. After studying art he worked for seven years in a community for minors, where he learned to not to take himself too seriously and he met children and their dreams. For this experience born his passion for writing that permit to him to become one of the Italian authors of YA fiction best known and loved. He holds workshops of illustration and creative writing at schools, libraries, bookshops, art associations and prisons. With the novel "Bad", published by Edizioni San Paolo, he won the 2012 Andersen Award for best book over fifteen years.
