TOTTERIDGE Totteridge is an old English village, currently a protected picturesque residential area of the London Borough of Barnet in North London. A mixture of suburban development and open farmland, situated 8.20 miles from Charing Cross.

Over the centuries the rural qualities of Totteridge have attracted well-to-do families. With the opening of Great Northern Railway station in 1872, late-Victorian and Edwardian mansions were built around the old village, and as such much of Totteridge has now been designated as a Conservation Area. The area has a number of Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation, including Darland’s Lake Nature Reserve, Totteridge Green, Totteridge Common, Totteridge Fields, Dollis Brook, Folly Brook and Totteridge Croft Field There is excellent transport into the city centre from the Totteridge and Whetstone tube station, as well as regular Transport for London buses. Bus route 251 takes passengers between Arnos Grove and Edgware Road, while route 326 stops in Barnet and the Brent Cross Shopping Centre.
